Joey Doggs was great. We stopped in Monday and we were greeted immediately, the waitress was mopping the floor and we were in no real hurry so we told her not to rush. She got menus for us and described the meals. My son wanted a hot dog and felt he could eat a foot-long hot dog. My husband had a buy one get one free type coupon and the waitress was surprised when she asked if my son could eat 4 hot dogs (because getting 4 regular hot dog was better than 2 foot-longs). Yuppers. He told her he actually has eaten more. My husband and I got the adult dog bowls. They do have a kids bowl called a Puppy Bowl. The Puppy Bowl comes with a ¼ lb burger, and either fries or onion rings I believe. But the adult dog bowl had a ½ lb double patty burger and both homemade fries and onion rings which were great. Our server was VERY friendly. It didnt take long at all to get our food. And as the name says it came in a good sized dog bowl. The bowl was pretty much filled with the burger, fries and onion rings. All of the food tasted wonderful. I was only able to eat about half of my burger, a few fries, and an onion ring or two but my son helped me with the fries and onion rings after he practically inhaled 4 hot dogs. Even later, the remaining half of my burger still tasted great! I will definitely look forward to returning!

Not feeling it. I went out of my way to try this place because of the consistently good reviews online. As somebody who grew up on chili-dogs, I have to say it was nothing special. I was excited and really wanted to like it. The positives were that the staff was friendly, the place is clean, and they have cool pinball and arcade machines for the kiddos. The negatives were they didnt give me all the toppings on my burger, the dogs didnt live up to the hype, and the fries were soggy. Its also hard to get to in a tough spot on Rt. 17.

Wanted to try something new, so we stop in around 109 pm ordered burgers, drinks and fries a "dog Bowl special " paid an almost $20.00 for this" treat" then the wait was on. Only one cook on duty and from what I saw could only work ine order at a time. Large table next to us was loud and very unruly. So after fifty 50 minutes food finally got to table. What a disappointing meal. Burgers where over cookef crunchy fries soggy and the dog bowl just dont work for me. Dont waste your time or money on the subpar hole in the, wall

Food was good, fun idea that its served in dog bowls, service wasnt. One of my family members has a common allergy so we asked if we could substitute side items in one of their combos. The waitress agreed and then the food came out as the combo specified not how it had been ordered. We brought it to her attention and she went to the back to get it corrected. We heard shouting from the back, the owner was yelling at the waitress about allowing the substitution. She came back to the table in tears. We wont be going back.

We received a dinning dough discount coupon for this place. Before ordering I asked if they accepted the gift cards and the guy behind the counter became annoyed. He didnt know anything about it wanted to know where I got the card. After explaining this to him he took my card and started calling the # on he card. A lady there said she would honor it and the gentleman was arguing with her about not signing up that...blah blah blah... Going elsewhere for lunch while they argue about it.

Absolutely AMAZING! I had the cheeseburger bowl which comes with Fresh cut onion rings and fries. This is my 2nd visit and I cant wait to return. My wife and I visit the Surfside area several times a year and this restaurant will be a regular on our list of places to eat. The staff members are super friendly, they make a point to stop by and ask how everything is and the seating area is clean and comfortable. The food is prepared quickly and is hot. Super Job to the Joey Doggs team!!

My family of four tried to eat lunch here on 11/25. 40 minutes after we ordered we still did not have food. My husband asked for a refund and we walked next door to Checkers and ordered lunch. When we got ready to pay (using the refund from Joey Doggs) we realised we were only given half of our money back. My husband had to go back and get the rest of our money. 40 minutes for 4 hot dogs is way to long.

Fun place to eat. The food comes out in actual dog bowls, which is a much cooler way to get your grub. The portions were generous, and the owners are super friendly. I believe he is a retired cop from NY, and has an obvious passion for this place. Lots of items to choose from, and something that is a welcome break from the standard restaurants youll find on the beachside strip.

Every item on the menu is wonderful! We look forward to summer vacation to get the chance to eat at Joey Doggs! We make it our business to eat there every day of our vacation because we LOVE it just that much! Great food prepared by great people and we couldnt ask for anything more other than having the food somehow transported to Augusta GA!

We vacation every year at Ocean Lakes for 2 weeks and Joey Doggs is just across the street. The burgers are the best I have ever had. So good in fact that this last vacation I went there 8 times. The owners are great and take pride in their product. I always look forward to my vacation and my double cheese burgers at Joey Doggs

first of all the onion rings were amazing and the burger was fantastic it was well made very hot and very filling. You could easily tell this place was very family freindly and welcoming. Overall this restraunts coolest feature was the fact the food came in doggie bowls. 5 stars would give 10 if possible. would eat here again

My family and I ate here on July 13, 2016 after searching for a good hamburger joint near Ocean Lakes where we were staying. We were not disappointed! The food was great and the people were super friendly. They bring your food to you in dog bowls which our boys enjoyed. We will definitely return here to eat in 2016.

Weve found our new burger joint -- Joeys!! Food was great, as were prices. Family-friendly atmosphere. Food seemed very fresh. Incredible hand-cut "homemade" fries, and also onion rings came with our burgers -- all hot and fresh!! Definitely bringing our whole family next time were back at the beach.

We just spent the week at Myrtle Beach and visited many restaurants. Joey Doggs Burgers was our favorite. Great atmosphere. Owners were awesome and helpful. Food was AMAZING. You simple cannot afford to not go to this place while in Myrtle Beach. We will be back!
