If it is the best in the area, that sucks. The ribs fall off the bone, or slip off un-naturally. They needed salt, and bbq sauce for taste. I did not ask for sauce so it was not given in my to go order. The chicken was over smoked, to much smoke in a short time hence it tasted like it was beat with a burnt rag, literally. The beef ribs gad a great deal of fat which should of rendered out if smoked right. Canned beans are not baked beans. The freid cabbage was mush. Peach dumplings were great. Mac n Cheese good but far from great. The asian pork belly had a nice sauce but was boring, not brined, dried, then smoked. If your expectations is average restuarant BBQ, then this is 5 star, if you yearn and crave BBQ this aint the place, it did not deserve my 3 stars. They got a southern pride smoker so they have the equipment, throw out the plastic wrap and quit grilling the smoked meat. You guys could do a 1000% better. And 11$ for half a chicken? Hardly the 1:3 profit ratio, 1:6 is extreme. Sorry guys but I would not be so detailed if I hated it, it was okay, you got a great staff, I would come back if you guys upped your game and won a few trophys.

Visited the Dixie Pig after hearing 2 of my coworkers talk about how good it was. I will admit that it was decent but Ive still had better as far as chopped bbq and ribs. My husband stated that it didnt tasted like they used any special woods. it just had a very plain taste like they only used an oak wood. I would say though that the fried corn on the cob as well as the black eye peas were to die for. I really wish I can get the black eye pea recipe. I could have drank the juice that it sat in all day. The atmosphere was comfy and servers were very polite. The inside eating area is very small, maybe 7 or so tables. When we arrived after about an hour of them opening our table was the only one open so we got lucky because I didnt want to eat on the patio. Probably wouldnt visit again as it was about a 40 minute drive and like I said it was just okay. But those sides.....

Service and food was fantastic!! We were just visiting the area and stopped in this great bbq place! So happy we did. Wasnt sure what sauce to try so our server brought us out some of each!!! I dont know which is my favorite as they were all wonderful! The Manager (owner maybe) also stopped by each table to ensure everything was good for the customers which I have always been a fan of restaurants doing so good job sir! We will definitely stop in every time we are in the area. Thank you Dixie Pig for a wonderful lunch. Keep up the good work, great food, and terrific hospitality!!! Hope to see you again soon!

There is no better barbecue in the area. This is not chopped vinegar soaked stuff, this is masterpieces of BBQ goodness from the Chicken to the Pork to the Prime Rib to the Corned Beef to the sides. The sandwiches arent just the usual, either. I love the Corned Beef open-face, my friends have yet to order anything BUT the French Dip... in 7 visits. Try the Alabama White sauce on the chicken. YUM. The fried corn is perfect, as is the Mac and Cheese, BBQ Hash and Hushpuppies. You shouldnt leave hungry! Plenty on each plate. Great service too!

Amazing place to eat! My brother and I came in and were welcomed by four people at once and felt such a great atmosphere. Definitely family friendly. You can eat inside or outside under a roof and there is a spacious, homely layout. Kylie was our waitress and she is spectacular. She gave us a full explanation of menu items and has years of exepeience which added to our visit. The portions of food are fit to feed a king! I was brely able to finish the beef ribs. We will be back to try more meals and the desserts :)

This place is a hidden gem in Rock Hill. Its a small place next to a laundry mat, but their food is amazing! The owners are very personable, and they really care about how your experience is because they want their food to be the best it can be. They sell out of things occasionally because they slow cook their meat overnight. Desserts are homemade. No microwaved frozen chain restaurant stuff here! If youre looking for some great home town food then check them out!

Being looking for a place to out do me on the barbecue,and I have found it. Being going to the pig for a year now since they open, not once have they disappointed me. The food is great, the service and the servers are out standing. I eat there at least three times a week. The three owners make you feel right at home.My favorite is the pork belly BLT. Best desert is the pecan pie with ice cream yummy. Thanks Dixie Pig for a job well done.

I did not care for the bbq sandwich. It was black crusty and very dry..even after putting sauce on it. The cole slaw was ok. I am not gonna stop going... they have other items i will try. Hash will be my next order. . The people were nice so i will not black ball them . I look forward to trying other menu items. I do like the pleasant service. So gonna try again and see what i may like.

Great food and excellent service! First timer today- was impressed to see a packed parking lot and full restaurant for lunch at 2 pm. Got two sandwiches to go. Ordered the pulled pork sandwiches with the house vinegar sauce and a spoonful of slaw. It was delicious... the pork had a little bit of crisp and a ton of flavor. Generous with the French Fries! I will be back with friends!

Food was awesome. Tried beef and pork ribs, pulled pork and the chicken.. Everything was heavenly. Waitress was very helpful. Service was extremely slow however as they seemed disorganized. Small joint with very limited seating. After a long wait at the bar we asked for our food to go as those orders were being done faster. The braised cabbage side was delicious too.

Was just passing through and stopped in for a quick bite. And what a surprise!!!! The staff was great, talked to everyone like they knew them forever! Service was great and the food was even better! We tried a little bit of everything and wasnt disappointed. I would go so far as saying that its by far best BBQ in South Carolina! You need to give em a try.

Possibly the best BBQ restaurant Ive been to. The food is consistently delicious no matter whether its the pulled pork or not. They also offer a range of 4 very different sauces: tomato based, mustard based, vinegar based and even a Mayo based. The only negative is their location. Its not the easiest to turn into and the parking is incredibly limited.

This is by far the best BBQ place around, they have the best Chicken and fixings also. In October I had them do the catering for my Sons Birthday Party and I was highly impressed with not only the taste but also the convenient way they packaged the food so I would recommend their catering to anyone looking for that also :)
