There are some places that you will visit time and time again to eat the same dish over and over -- for me, TR Fire Grill is one of those places. Two dishes that keep bringing me back for brunch are their Chicken & Waffles and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The Chicken & Waffles are always beautifully presented, with juicy, crispy breaded chicken, thick, savory waffles made with white Wisconsin cheddar and bacon dust and a touch of sweetness from agave syrup served with them. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are also the perfect balance of sweet and savory, served with mildly spicy jalapeño chicken sausage, a seasonal selection of fruit, and topped with maple syrup. Their locally sourced juices are a great option for a flavorful drink, whether standalone or in one of their alcoholic concoctions. While I personally usually stick to those two dishes, I did visit TR Fire Grill today with a group of friends and tried something new – the Flank Steak and Eggs, which I was slightly underwhelmed with. The steak was cooked to the medium rare I had asked for, but the dish didn’t list that it came with an egg, so I wasn’t asked for my cooking preference on that and was served an egg that was too raw for my liking. The green chili sauce complimented the steak nicely, and the potato hash while nothing special was a nice side. I was disappointed in the paprika biscuits that came with it, however, as they were a lot smaller than I thought that they would be and they weren’t evenly shaped or sized. Overall I felt that the Flank Steak and Eggs dish lacked the cohesiveness, complimentary flavors and the tight presentation that my other favorite dishes had. A friend of mine ordered the Red Velvet Pancakes, which were also rather sloppily presented, and her syrup was left off the plate. She also found the cream cheese frosting to be entirely too sweet, one reason why I have not ordered that dish (it just seems like sweet on top of sweet on top of sweet, which I guess is some people’s thing). While I will return to TR Fire Grill to re-try some of my favorite dishes, and I have a feeling that I will be back to try the lunch menu, I feel like my experience today put me off from venturing out to new parts of the menu... at least for a little while.

Stellar service; exquisite food. I don’t write reviews often, but I couldn’t let my amazing culinary experience go unnoticed. From the moment we walked in, the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. It was a slow night, and the atmosphere was chill and relaxed, but the entire service team was on point. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess that brought us to a corner table. The décor was comfortable with a rustic vibe that matched the menu. Our server, James came by shortly and told us about the many local beers available and took our drink order. A trainer Christopher, who provided us with several recommendations including the New York strip, also greeted us and even brought a sample of the bacon wrapped meatloaf. We end up getting the strip and the American burger. Both were cooked perfectly medium rare and accompanied by flavorful (but not buttery) seasoned sides of fries and fingerling potatoes. Honestly, the service is what put the dining experience over the top. In a town where it can be hit or miss, especially after a new opening, everyone was friendly and we could tell, genuinely happy to be there with us. Kelsey, the pastry chef came by and talked us in to the house made, seasonal pumpkin cheesecake with bourbon caramel sauce. And it was good thing he did, because it was not too sweet, and had a freshness that only comes from using quality ingredients. We savored every bite and them came home and ate the leftovers before bed - yeah, it was that good. The bartender even came by to suggest a beer pairing for the dessert that made the entire meal one of the best I’ve ever had. If you are looking for a menu that is comfort food with a fresh twist and thoughtful service, Fire Grill at the corner of Lee Road and 17-92 is the place. Who know that Tony Romano’s had it in them? I can’t wait to go back and bring all my friends there.

Accidentally stumbled upon this awesome find while on our way to walk park avenue. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with an American farm flare. The hostess and wait staff were incredibly friendly. We were visited by the on duty manager who was also very friendly and inquisitive about our perception of the restaurant it an incredibly comforting way. Onto the food! The food was delicious! We started with the pretzel bread and beer cheese fondue. The bread was fresh and perfectly salted. The mustard was spot on and the beer cheese was good. Not the best but solid in flavour and texture. My wife ordered the American Burger with the wood fired Margarita. The burger was very flavourful and surpassed her expectations. The drink started off with a a lot of salt (this was probably due to the pretzel eaten just before this) but the flavour of the drink was incredible. I ordered the Fish and was surprised by the subtle battering and bold seasoning. Their house sauce brought all the flavours together. The Fish itself was noticeably fresh and tender. The addition of live music brought this dinning visit to the 5 stars it deserves. Cant wait to come back to sample the other offerings and try to make a dent in their extensive drink offerings.

Came here for a brunch waited over 30 min even with reservations to be seated ! Once the hostess called us to be seated he tried to seat another couple before us by using our names !which at this point I was going to leave ! Our server Kelly tried to tell us we have 15 min to order with in the brunch even though we were here earlier and didnt seat us . I told Kelly I wanted the bacon and eggs entree and my friend got the shrimp and grits , I even told them egg whites . 20 min passed and I only received a omelette with regular eggs. I told the host to call the server over to discuss our order , I looked over to see the hostess and Kelly discussing my order . She already seemed annoyed and tried to ask me if I didnt want the omelette . I clearly stated to her from the beginning that I wanted the entree and NOT JUST the omelette, while the bacon came my eggs was basically finished and the hash browns was burnt on the bottom . Why would I want to receive my food in sections No manger came to our table ! The service I received was by far the worst Ive experienced in Winter Park. I will no longer came back here and Im sorry I wasted my money here !

First time at Tony Romas and probably had the slowest service ever at any restaurant. Arrived at 8:15pm and was told that tables were being put together to seat our group of 6 people. Almost 10 minutes later we were seated at one large round table, not tables put together. The staff were very nice, but slow. It took several minutes to take our drink orders and then over 10 minutes to bring them to the table and then another 10 minutes to place our food order: Two kids meals, one sampler appetizer platter, and two salads. Thats it! Finally our food was brought out by 9:20pm. The food was great and the staff was nice, not sure what the problem was(had various servers bring us items - maybe we were forgotten). We were told several times that some staff were sent home early and they were in the process of "shutting down" when we walked in(they close at 11pm). The manager finally took care of us, but too little too late. You know you had to wait too long for food when you forget what you ordered. I recommend this restaurant for the food, but the dining experience needs some improvement.
