Not a normal Chinese Restaurant.. just a take out ....Please This place is basically a take-out Chinese place, so take not.. do not be deceived with Table and Chairs.. and the guy that I met was very not courteous. My son came to Rock Hill SC for #FBU Top GUN and we decided to search for Chinese restaurant close to our hotel. Based on google search, we settled for China Kitchen. As we walked in, the guy met us with some confusing statement, " do you know what you". I did not quite get the statement and I asked him to repeat it, which he did. I was taken back when he repeated it.. I think he is used to this welcoming statement, because he made the same statement to two ladies that came in after us. But let me go back to my narrative, he asked us to find our seat and seat anywhere we like, and we did by ourselves. When he came, he put a plastic fork and the usual Chinese paper tray. I was shocked but kept quite. He asked for our drink, which we did. He then came with plastic cup and asked that we helped ourselves with drinks from the dispenser. As he walked past me, I was forced to ask a question, just to confirm my observation, that it seems he is not used to dine-in customers based on the type of utensils he put forth. He was defensive, "youre the first person that ever asked or complained about the plastic fork", he says. Further explanation was just a barrage of excuses, like saying.. he does not have anyone to wash the spoon..this is not a normal restaurant. ( I am glad he confirmed my curiosity). He even tried to lure two gentlemen into the conversation by soliciting their to explain his cause. At this time, I was already fed up and lost appetite for his food. When he brought my food, I could not reject the food out rightly but asked him to donate it to any needy and that I will pay. He then tried to offer it to the two gentlemen in the store.. I did pay him $17.00 for the meal and left with very bad state and experience. I had a picture of the fork and paper..for further discussion..

I used to have a five star review for this place but now Im bringing it down to two I have been a reoccurring customer for over two years at this particular location. I ordered my to go food 35 minutes before I even got to the restaurant. I get there and then wait 10 more minutes and still have not gotten my food 45 minutes go by so I walk out. I dont understand why you will not hire another employee to help in the kitchen. Are you that stingy with your money that youre willing to lose a customer that comes in very frequently to your establishment? I suppose that answer to my question is yes. The sad part is is that I actually like the food otherwise I wouldve gave you one star. Until you get more help Ill never order food here again. Its ridiculous. You try to run the kitchen, register and tables that come in to sit down and eat. I have mentioned before that things would go much smoother if you had one extra set of hands and will also give you less stress overall. You know me by my first name thats how often I use to come in. I hope this will warn people that its very rare that you will get your food quickly. I shouldnt have to order 45 minutes in advance to get Chinese food thats insane! Im usually not one to complain ever and I was fine with order 20-30 minutes in advance because anytime i come there i know my food wont be ready in 15 minutes when I get there even after you say over the phone "ok 15 minutes"

China kitchen is the best Chinese place in Rock Hill! After finding out that my favorite Chinese place had a bad health rating, I went searching for a new place I loved. I tried several places and just didnt like the food anywhere else. Thankfully I found China Kitchen. At first, I was a little skeptical of how good the food would be because the prices are so low, but it turned out to be even better than my old favorite! Its 4.95 for a plate of chicken, rice, and a spring or egg roll so its easy enough to afford that I go there at least every other week (most of the time I go more if Im being honest.) They have great food at great prices and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who loves Chinese food!!

Cute little place! The food is really fresh, I was impressed at how crisp all the vegetables always are regardless of season. They do a great job of dealing with item alterations as each dish is prepared fresh no matter what. Prices are really inexpensive, usually like $7 per person. The owner (I think) is really nice too. Ive come in a few times, usually no more than once a month, honestly probably every other month, and hes recognised me and sort of remembers my order (impressive!) and always makes really nice conversation as well.

The tea is nasty, the food is cheap,and the owner/manager at the register is a crook. I ordered wings and he charged me for a combo, when I told him he talked about how good of a deal I got it was just $1.30. I think he did that on purpose and would probably blame it on the language barrier. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone I would never go back

Everything is extremely fresh. Hot and sour soup appears home made, not the gelatinous stuff so often encountered. Beauiful, fresh veggies in the main course, fresh fried rice. Nothing appears to have been frozen. Also, very polite and quick service. I called in my order and picked up less than 20 min later. Portions are generous.

YES!!!!!! My family and I have been searching in vein for a good Chinese place in Rock Hill.... For 3 years we have commuted from Rock Hill to this place off Carowinds/Tryon. China Kitchen is amazing, and cheap!!! When we arrived there was no one else there, but we went in anyway. 10 min after we got there it was packed.

Placed order for pickup. Was told 20 min and it wasnt ready for 35. They give you a ton of food and its very cheap. I gave a 40% tip because they were working very hard. It wasnt busy but you can see them making each meal. Very nice staff. I got orange chicken. I wished it had more orange flavor but it was okay!

Food is decent but they take forever to take your order or have it ready. We waited over 40mins for a take out order during that time 5 people walked out. We like the food but wont be going back anytime soon. The owner needs to get more workers on that restaurant dont be cheap and hire a helper!!!!

Man food was horrrible.. when I order shrimp Loman he told me he will knock 2 dollars off cause someone called in and never picked up.. I ask how long it been sitting there he said (a HR). ITS STILL FRESH I SAID WTF.. THAT RITE SHOULDVE TOLD ME THEN.. DIDNT EAT FOOD

I eat here at least once a week the food is the absolute best in town he cook it fresh and its always cook as you order. The owner is super friendly and he know me and my hunnie face when we come in I enjoy this place I recommended it to every one...
