Lynden from Darke Complex here with a review of Alejandros Mexican Grill! The salsa bar had many options to choose from, a variety which is very refreshing considering most Mexican restaurants dont bother to give so many different flavor textures. The only complaint I could give is that the salsa was not often refilled, however me and the boys came during dinner rush on Cinco de Mayo. Our waitress was very kind and quick to give refills on chips and beverages! The food took a long while to come out, but I am understanding of the fact that the restaurant was jam packed and the kitchen was probably in a big rush. One unfortunate complaint is that the floor was very slippery and when carrying multiple containers of delicious salsa, the pressure is on to keep up my balance. As far as the meal goes, the portion definitely justified the price. I dug myself into an order of Enchiladas Acapulco, which were shrimp enchiladas in a pesto sauce. The shrimp was delicious and well seasoned, and the char from the grill really added to the flavor. The only problem with the dish was that the sauce was lacking in presence and flavor, and the dish mainly tasted like I was eating plain corn tortilla with shrimp inside. Overall the family feel of the restaurant and the kind staff was a highlight of the restaurant, as well as the experimental salsa bar, but the food could use just a little more flavor to set it apart from other restaurants.

I had to change my review. 5 stars to 1 star. ...Recently I stopped by here with a friend and the waitress was very rude. She walked away without even listening to what I was saying and started tending to another table. I tried to flag her down and she didnt even pay attention to me. She came back and said *I thought you needed more time. You just kept asking me about ingredients.* Uh DUH! Because my friend has allergies to certain things. That might be why I was asking you. So why did you walk away? I felt like walking out. The food was decent but the waitress was very rude. Their service has decreased significantly. Before, they listened to everything I said and made sure we got what we wanted. Now, they just walk away. One of the staff up front, when I paid, also patted me on my back and said *see ya buddy*. I dont like strangers touching me. Do you know me? Get your hands off me, thanks. I dont think ill be returning to Alejandros anytime soon.

Eaten here several times with a few of my sons. Everything we have ordered has been really good. The service has always been very pleasant, quick and attentive. We enjoy coming her late evening after a long day at work. Comí aquí varias veces con algunos de mis hijos. Todo lo que hemos pedido ha sido realmente bueno. El servicio siempre ha sido muy agradable, rápido y atento. Nos gusta venir ella tarde por la noche después de un largo día en el trabajo.

My husband and I have been coming here for a couple years and the food was excellent. But today, and a couple months ago were atrocious,. A few months ago my husbands frozen Margarita was not frozen the chips were rancid, and the food although good took a very long time. Today was truly the last straw. I only ordered a Margarita and a side of guacamole, being from California and having my own avocado tree, I know what guacamole should taste like..for the first time ever I sent the guacamole back and said to the waiter that it was bad. He said it was the avocados. REALLY!..THEN WHY DID YOU SERVE IT UP? My husbands food was tasteless..his Peach Mango Margarita looked anemic, if you dont know how to make one, just say you dont know, and bring a simple lime Margarita..we would have understood. WE WILL NEVER RETURN AND WILL WORN OTHERS. Alejandro are you still running this place?

LOVE this place. we go there a lot since its right up the street and weve always had personal and fantastic service from the staff. My other half and his son did their burrito challenge and got their picture on the wall. The decor is fairly cheesy but i like that they are now putting up art and paintings from local artists. Their taco salad isnt always fresh which is what i usually order and i had one issue with a food allergy that could have been worse. (I asked for no pineapple but then they put pineapple juice in the sauce, fortunately Im not THAT allergic). The salsa bar however is a reason to keep going as its always great and fun for us and the kids.

Today we were treated really bad by two sirter waitreses. Apparently they are related to the owner and think that they can treat customers the way they want. All we were asking was to get our carne asada cooked medium and replace tortillas for a little more rice and they got really mad because of that. Also one of them was pouring the beer to one of my friends and she spilled. When he told her that sha was spilling the beer she told him that he could lick it. Are you serious? I am a regular customer to most latin restaurants in the area and I have never been treated as bad as today.

Delicious food. Expansive salsa bar free with meal. Chips also very good, better than most places. Meal portions were generous. Very pleased. Am happy customer. Prices very reasonable too. All around fantastic restaurant. Wish the world had more places like Alejandros. Service was good. Go here, be happy. Edit: we may have had diarrhea for 2 days after eating here. Approach salsa bar with caution...

We started eating here again recently. The food is better than it used to be but it could still use improvement. . I think the salsa bar is great and the beer selection is surprisingly good. They have several types of Sangria and margaritas as well. The bar is small and our order was wrong from the kitchen one time but the server took care of it and didnt charge. overall we are very happy with it

Great Mexican food! Salsa bar was awesome with different options, margaritas were cool, I tried Alejandros Special which was delicious and serving size was really big (check the picture I shared) which I could take home two filled tortillas! Atmosphere was good and staff was polite and caring. Very good experience and we will go back and also try other branches as well!

The food was good, but the service was subpar. We waited for a long time to order our food. Then, when we asked for a refill on our waters, we waited 15 minutes even after asking twice. Finally, we had to ask a different server to get our bill after 15 minutes of waiting for our server, because our server was several booths away sitting with other servers talking.

Service was polite and attentive. Chips were mediocre and served cold. They have a nice a salsa bar at no extra cost. I ordered a shrimp dish sauteed with a mild spicy sauce and summer vegetables, which was served with plain white rice and plain black beans ( I was slightly upset by these last two). overall, food was good fresh. Nothing extraordinary.

LOVE eating here! The food isnt the best but the outdoor seating is always fun and there is always a game to watch. The worlds best waiter Daniel always puts an extra shot or two in the margaritas and keeps them coming strong and hes not so good at counting beers as long as you tip good. ;) Definitely recommend eating here!
