I was impressed the moment I walked in the door. Although it is dark with walls of an off black background, the atmosphere is light and airy. The decor had hints here and there of a Tex/Mex mix. Not overly elaborate. I liked the small black bulls horns mounted to a wall near the bar. The Server was pleasant and quick to serve. He also allowed us ample time to look over what appeared to be a specialty or Bistro type one page menu. I was amazed I didnt know about this restaurant sooner as I learned it has been in business over 15 years. What a find! I ordered one of the two salad items on the menu. I had the grilled chicken. It was excellent and I highly recommend it if you are being health conscious! Pammy had the Gordita which she rates from 1 - 10 as 9! We also ordered the Nacho... SPICY ..Good.. But not for the faint of heart! Very spicy beans, & Jalapenos! Put it on your "To Go To" list.

I grew up in California and was used to either having homemade Mexican food or having the choice of eating great Mexican. When I moved to RI, I missed having homemade Mexican food. I tried a few places, but didnt care for any of them and then I found Chilangos. It became my second home. I absolutely loved their food! Its one of the only things I miss about living in RI. Anytime I have friends visit New England, they make a stop at Chilangos and they love it too! I miss my huaraches!

Wow! The food is so good here! You would never find Chilangos unless you lived in the neighborhood or knew someone who did. But, once you have been there, it will be on your map forever. Best Mexican I have had in years and years. It isnt show off food, it is just superb. It is a family run place and everything I saw tells me this is a family I would want to know. Eat here, Go out of your way to eat here!

Best Mexican food in RI. Hands down. Authentic, authentic, authentic! Huge selection of meats to choose from for tacos, multiple kinds of tamales, and amazing, unique selections you can not find in other places. Awesome drinks (both alcoholic and non) and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Honestly the best margarita Ive ever had. It was giant. Tacos were excellent and the service was too. Three tacos for six bucks. Not sure why this place isnt packed full all the time, maybe because we went on a Monday. I wish I knew about this place years ago as theyve been here for 16 years!

Huge fan of Chilangos. Margaritas are great, enchiladas verde are phenomenal and the weekend staff is always very friendly. we come here from Boston, always calling ahead to make sure they are open, and it is well worth the drive. Prices are very reasonable too.

My names Noelle. I came here with my mom, and two little girls. This place made us feel like family. Delicious, super fresh food. Large portions. Wonderful services, nice atmosphere. Id give 10 stars but thats not an option. We will most defiantly be returning!!!

I love this place. Ive been going to Chilangos for years and it never dissapoints. The service is great and the food is unbelievable. The owner is fantastic and always makes awesome, fresh fruit drinks. Chilangos has great prices for catering too!
