this place is wonderful, id recommend to anyone who enjoys Mexican food. the food is amazing, i havent had Mexican food this delicious since being in the south. but it doesnt stop there. the service is just wonderful. the place is clean and beautiful, the people are extremely nice and wait hand and foot to make sure you have the perfect experience, and to top it off, they go above and beyond restaurant expectations. my fiance and i wanted to go here as a valentines dinner, and normally they close at around 9:30... my fiance goes to college and doesnt get home until about 9 at night, so i called in advance to see if they would be open any later and was informed that if we wanted to come, they would stay open for us and had me put in a 9 15 reservation. i couldnt ask for better food, or better people. everything is made fresh daily and i have not a bad word to say about this restaurant!! i will continuously eat here and encourage people to try it! you wont be disappointed. its a little expensive, but as soon as your order comes, youll see why!! the quality and quantity are overwhelming. youll definitely have leftovers! oh and you get complimentary home made chips and fresh salsa with every order! i cant talk enough about the food. the first time i was here my fiance and i both had fish dishes. i had fish tacos and he had a shrimp enchilada. not only is the beef great, their seafood is beyond exceptional. if you do get the fish tacos though, id suggest asking for them to go light on the cilantro. as delicious as it was there was a bit much for me. i will definitely get this dish again, as it was fresh and delicious, but i will ask for a little less cilantro .

I ate here in march with my wife and toddler son, and I must say I was impressed with the quality and selection that is offered by Jalapa Mexican Grill. Ive eaten at many, many Mexican restaurants in Cambridge, Somerville and Arlington and I would totally rate this place as good to very good. The prices are spot on and the ingredients are fresh, especially the guacamole. Excellent guacamole. I had the enchilada sampler plate, portions are appropriate (of course i always want to see a heaping plate of food, but the portion is very appropriate for the price) and my wife had a very nice salad with fresh, tasty grilled chicken on it. Of course the obligatory bowl of chips with some great salsa, medium spicy. it looks like they have an outdoor eating area, which should be awesome come spring and summer. They are in a great location and I really hope they get busier as the weather warms up. Im certainly looking forward to the next time I visit Jalapa.

First off, the restaurant is named Jalapa Mexican Grill, not Jalapeno. Second, if you have a desire for delicious and fresh Mexican food, you need look no further. Tasty food and drinks make for a great dinner, made better when you enjoy them on the outdoor terrace.

A solid four stars. Waitresses were extremely nice and welcoming. The food was fine, not excellent. Prices are good. They did make an error with the food and took it back and corrected the error. Good atmosphere. Would recommend for a quick bite of Mexican food.

Freshly prepared food with an intricate mix of flavors served by a conscientious, friendly and efficient staff. A great local place where the staff takes the time to get to know their customers. Im a regular customer and have never been disappointed.

The chips and salsa were pretty good. They messed up my order but were very apologetic and corrected it. The portions are huge but my food was pretty bland. I would maybe try something else if I came back. The staff was extremely nice.

Waitress was very good. Management is extremely poor!! Food served cold and they charge extra for everything even the chips. Definitely dont recommend it
