im here for work and my colleague and i stopped in for lunch. i had a nice falafel sandwich w/ good hummus, lettuce, tomato & red onion on a wheat wrap. my friend had an omelet. it was all good. the people were nice. had the feeling the cook might be new b/c he asked my friend to let him know how the omelet turned out. the music was a little loud and grungy but not offensive. and they had free wifi. and i dont think it was overly priced, but i might not be a reliable judge of that b/c im from nyc. so id say a decent place to go for lunch or coffee. not sure where all the previous negativity is coming from. maybe they turned over a new leaf?

Employees seem jaded from working with the general public too long and are prone to passive aggressive behavior towards benign customers, but locals probably wont notice. Pastries and bagels are fine but they come from a bulk store with a mark up. Personally, if Im going to pay premium prices for cafe items Id like the quality to match. The coffee is just coffee with a coffeeshop price tag. On the more positive side, sitting situation is cozy.

Quite nice coffee place, cosy and the food is good. Liked the patio at the back on a sunny day although furniture there could be improved. Really good smoothies. My main complaint is the lack of organisation of the staff. There were three people the day we went and it seemed they were more getting in the way of each other than cooperating. I d still recommand the place and would definitely go back.

Food was cold, sandwiches literally thrown together & service was the worst. Staff was rude and when I mentioned my oatmeal was cold I was practically scolded & then it was heated in a microwave instead of preparing a new one properly. Never again will I come here. I support small businesses but not this one!

I wanted a quality crafted cup of espresso, that is exactly what they delivered. The ambience is what you would come to expect from quirky independent cafés. I didnt go there to have my ego stroked by a barista. I suppose if thats your thing then you might take issue with the service.

Worst service Ive ever seen in my life. No training, no thinking, no organization. I ordered an egg and cheese bagel the last time I was there and after a 10 minute wait, it arrived only to find out later that the egg was almost raw (thats right, clear). Ugh! Avoid unless you dont care...

I have never had a positive experience at Cafe Zog. The physical space itself is super cozy and inviting but the service is disheartening, the food nothing special and the exaggerated prices ensure that your next cafe outing will be to one of the many really good places in Providence.

The employees have never been rude that Ive seen, and the omelets are fantastic as is the coffee. If you had to wait a little while for a table, thats life, the place is small, but they deserve much more than a zero-star rating.

Bagels with pimento-olive cream cheese...high-walled booths good for a meeting, rendezvous (or getting dumped, apparently)...coffee is a little pricy and the staff can at times can appear...how does one say it...confused.

Cafe Zog is amazing :) the environment is always so pleasant and the iced cafe mocha is the best Ive had anywhere! Id definitely recommend this place on ambience alone <3 It will be a return spot the next time Im in RI

They cook everything out of cheap electric frying pans the inside is filthy. The outside paito is covered in mold with broken furniture the help is grossly dressed and. Youre expected. To pay top dollar

Nice atmosphere, but both times I have gone there it takes forever to get your food. It took almost 10 minutes to get a bagel and cream cheese, and the cream cheese was on the side! But the food is tasty.

The drinks and whatnot are great. The staff are very friendly, but not particularly attentive, and certainly not quick.

Good food and coffee, service was slow due to everything (counter, cooking, serving) being run by one person.

Atmosphere was a little strange and service was mediocre. It seems like theyre trying to do too much.
