The sandwiches are good, the desserts are delicious, but the prices are outrageous and the staff is unpleasant. They are stingy with portion sizes, wasteful (Ive seen entire cakes thrown away without just cause), and will not openly disclose their policies on discounts and card validations. For example, once I asked for the free ice cream with a dessert, as advertised. She got it. Then I asked for the student discount to be applied, and the woman said that the combination isnt possible. So I told her I didnt want the ice cream, and she handed the dish to the nice guy that works there and expected him to scrape it off. She would rather throw out ice cream than apply a discount, which was never mentioned to be precluded. Also, on random occasions I have had certain orders validated on my card and other times not, only then to request that the alternative student discount be applied and yet again be denied for whatever reason. The food is good, but you can find better value and friendliness in other places.

Decent sandwiches, but MSC is more of a Providence institution than it is a good deli/cafe. Not to make fun; after all you can hardly do better in such a small city... On the plus side they make everything there, on the minus side that creates incosistency, so your roast beef or turkey or cookies can be great one week, and only passable the next. The curry chicken salad can range from mild to overwhelming. I guess thats the cost of having underpaid teenagers staff your store.

Perhaps at one point this was an institution deserving of praise, but all I saw was a surprisingly dirty, awkwardly laid out diner filled with chattering undergrads. Sour coffee, flat soda, bland food, and the wait staff on several occasions had to walk on top of booth seats just to deliver meals due to the poor arrangement of the seating. There are simply too many options in this neighborhood to justify choosing this one.

This isnt your typical cafe; its more like a diner. They have healthy sized portions of everything, from omelets at 10 in the morning to cookies a la mode at 10 at night. Lunch and dinner are the most fulfilling though because the sandwiches are huge and made of quality ingredients. Burgers are also very tasty. Overall, its a pretty good value. Its also BYOB, which is a huge plus in my book.

Meeting street used to be great, but Ive gotta say, success has ruined them. We came out with friends tonight and while my fish and chips took a half hour, a burger at our table took an hour. Prices seem to have crept up, and delivery has ruined their in house service. Such a shame. We wont be back for a long time. At least the clam chowder was really good.

An upscale sandwich place just off Thayer, good to sit down over lunch. They also have a small array of more traditional dishes and salads. A little bit on the expensive side but nothing outrageous, and the portions are generous. You may not finish that sandwich! They also bake pies and gigantic cookies daily. Recommended is the Chicken Curry sandwich.

Ive eaten here multiple times & each time I get something new & each time its delicious!!! The sandwiches are VERY filling. I especially like the Reuben & the Thanksgiving sandwiches. The bread & ingredients are always fresh. The pasta salad is a bit different from what Im used to, but I usually go for the potato salad anyway. Highly recommend you try!

The sandwhich I got delivered to my house was amazing , its was FAT , and I was so full after half of the sandwhich, I feel like thats one thing that can be iffy with sandwhiches they can either be stuffed and Heardy or wimpy and this sandwhich was definitely worth the 1 hour wait. Thats the only reason why Im giving 4 stars and not 5

This place is consistently delicious. Their food is always very good and they always have very large quantities of it, consistently. Their service can sometimes be a little slow, but that may be because they usually only have one person doing the tables by themselves.

3.5 Stars - Food is tasty (a little oily though). The portions are okay and a little more than enough for one person. However, the price is about $1-2 more than other places around Thayer Street though. Also, it takes a while (~10 minutes) for the food to get ready.

Worst customer service ever! They were so rude to me and refused to wait for me to come down from my apartment to the street to grab my order. They drove away with out delivery being ordered twice and did not care. Ive never experienced customer service this bad

I sometimes forget about this place. I sometimes think of it as a dinner because the food has such a fresh, home-made taste. Its BYOB. They have huge, delicious cookies that you can buy as a half.

Delicious food but worst delivery customer service ever. Told me 40 minutes but it took over an hour and 20 minutes without notifying me or caring. Food was very cold by the time It got here.

Food was great! One thing I wasnt aware of is you order at the counter. Your waitress doesnt take you order, and didnt find that out until sitting at the table for 5 minutes.

Terrible service and below average food. Avoid this place at all costs. Food will take ages to get to you and wont be good. Staff will provide curdled coffee and poor service.

Cookies are amazing and huge. Love the cherry chocolate and oatmeal chocolate the most. Cant speak to the rest of the food but have to get the cookies!

I sometimes get a delivered meal, sometimes eating in. They are pretty quick and very friendly. The space seems a little crammed but its alright.

Nice cafe with lots of menu options including good vegetarian food just off Thayer St, quick service and convenient location.

This place is way over priced and takes forever! The atmosphere leaves much to be desired too. I do not understand the hype.

Eggs Benedict very disappointing. Way to skimpy on the hollandaise sauce and ham. Not even on an English muffin.
