I tried this place several years ago when they were right on Wickenden and wasnt too impressed. Theyve since moved to a new location just a few blocks down the street and had a great write up in the Providence Journal. So I thought lets give it another try! The ambience is unremarkable but cozy and quaint. The waitstaff was very friendly and pleasant. However, this is where they fall short, very short: the FOOD! I truly so wanted for this place to be good but it just wasnt. I am Cambodian and I know authentic food, the food we had was not authentic. We ordered the Mitapheap which was described as a "popular dish in Southeast Asia", it was grilled chicken with sweet soy sauce accompanied by a side of rice and pickled cabbage which probably cost less 2 dollars to make but they charged 12. Also, we ordered the Nam Yaa which looked amazing and promised to be spicy and flavorful. We didnt taste much of the herbs because it was overpowered by sugar. The dish was so sweet it could have been dessert. The Angkorian wings were okay but could have been better if the chicken didnt seem like it was boiled first before getting smeared with peanut sauce. I hate to say this but overall it was not a pleasant experience and I dont think I will be going back especially because it wasnt that great of a deal $$.

Absolutely nasty! DO NOT EAT HERE! Details: Nim chow had no shrimp, rotting bean sprouts & the sauce was all wrong, it smelled like vinegar. The green curry was BROWN! It tasted nothing like a Thai green curry, and it was sweet, not spicy, reminds me of those instant Thai foods you can microwave from the freezer. I LOVE green curry and I was appalled, honestly. And now heres the kicker, I do not review restaurants often, but when you serve me bad food, Im going to ask for a refund like anyone would at a restaurant. This imbecile had the gall to tell me that "if he gave refunds he wouldnt make money" WHAT A SCAM! There is so much good food in this neighborhood, I wouldnt buy this for my worst enemy.

Have been three times now, every time is stellar. The Nam Yaa soup, especially when youre maybe not feeling well, is a must. It is light but spicy, with great flavors and clears up your sinuses well ! The boba tea is awesome, too. Great little place that pays attention to good quality ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. Yum.

The pad thai noodles were all stuck together like glue. I had to pull everything apart and dig through a mountain of noodles to find the bits of beef I paid extra money for. The spring rolls were a huge disappoint. It didnt even have shrimps in them. Just plain vegetables. Never ordering from here again.

Ever since Angkor moved to the new place, it became really disappointing. We waited for an whole hour for the appetizers to come, and another forty minutes for the entree. It was supposed to be a hot dish, but when it came it was cold. Angkor no longer cared about their costumers anymore.

This quaint little restaurant on Wickenden St is a two-story gem. Every dish I have had is light and flavorful. I would honestly recommend everything. The decor is fine and the service tries hard. It can get crowded on some nights, but its worth it. Take-out also a good option.

Bad. Worst Pad Thai I have ever seen. I guess they precooked everything, when customer came, they just put it on a plate to serve. This is the first time in my life to write a comment for a restaurant on line, just want you dont have to experience what I experienced.

Just BAD. Would NOT order from here again. Dont really understand why their street noodles and medicinal soup got good ratings... As mentioned by others, its not spicy at all and just taste the sweetness. And crispy chicken? It should be called soggy chicken.

The worst thai Ive ever had.... pad thai was nasty, tasted like bottled sauce. The nim chow looked like a 5 year old out it together, and the chive dumplings were under cooked. I would not waste my money on this place again... huge let down.

Been here several times over the past few years. the staff is always friendly, service is prompt ( crowd allowing, which is normal and fine) and the food is tastey! our favorite is the nam ya (sp?) soup and scallion pancakes. soo good!!

The best food Ive tasted in Providence for the 2 years that Ive been here. Try the Nam Ya noodle soup or the Meitapep or Johns Special. They are ALL amazingly filled with flavor.

Food came quickly and was good. Very professional and clean, especially for such a small, owner-operated restaurant.

I do not recommend this place. The food wasnt very good, and the soup that my friend ordered looked awful.
