Used to be called Thanh Thanh, now renamed Pho Da Lat ---Just moved form Seattle, where Pho flows like wine. The first place in Lowell I tried was Pho 88, where the food was overpriced ($8.95 one size bowl), the wait staff, while provocatively dressed, provided below-average service, and the pho was sub-par. Finally found Pho Da Lat, an excellent Vietnamese restaurant that exclusively focuses on traditional style food, rather than Chinese, Thai, what have you... Not as fast as the superlative Than Bros chain in Seattle, a little more pricey ($5.95-6.75, but the extra dollar or two a person makes a difference when you dine there frequently), and I still cant get over the no free creampuff with purchase of any bowl/entree on the east coast, but Pho Da Lat is my new favorite spot in Lowell. Our server was friendly, fast, attentive, and accommodating. Try their Seafood Pho with squid, fish cake, shrimp, & pork slices, but get it in beef broth not fish broth, youll understand why when you taste it. They also have excellent fried tofu vegetarian pho. The beef broth is very good -- rich, flavorful, delicately spiced, and not at all overly salty.

This Pho Da Lat has been one of my local favorite for years now. The main reason is the broth. Its tasty yet doesnt have a lot of MSG compare to some other Pho restaurant. The hart and soul of the pho is the broth so if you can make the broth right, the rest is easy. We had a company Chinese group lunch here the other day and its actually the first time to eat pho for 3 of them. They all enjoyed it and said want to come back again.

AH-MAZING Vietnamese food! As a lover of all Asian cuisine, Vietnamese take the top, in my book. This food was amazing-some of the best I ever had. The service was great! They are so so sweet and attentive to what you want! From the outside this place doesnt look like much. It could use a paint job.... BUT let me tell you, the inside is charming, clean and very nice! Ohhh and did I mention the food is Devine?!!? Go! Enjoy!

Dont go to this restaurant unless you want large flies served with your food. The shrimp in our spring roll was not fresh and the food was bland at best ( I wonder why ). Not sure if this restaurant is trying to emulate traditional Vietnamese restaurants; if we wanted to eat fresh insects, Vietnam would be the ideal place to visit.

Friendly staff and really good noodle soup, though the overall look of the place is under par, I am always hesitant to touch their doorknob when entering the place. A little maintenance would help. I noticed that their lunch specials are not offered any more, which may indicate slightly higher prices at lunch time.

Beyond horrible experience. The service was terrible didnt get what I ordered. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Waited over half an hour for someone to approach us to give us the check pretty sad. Would never ever go again.

Pho Dalat has become one of our go-to restaurants in Lowell. We havent had a single thing from the menu that wasnt great. My wife is partial to the rare beef soup, but Im more of a grilled steak, spring roll & vermicelli guy.

Inexpensive Viet fare and friendly wait staff. Food is very good and service is usually very fast. We go here every so often to get pho noodles and are never disappointed. Yum! And did I mention bubble tea?

Excellent cuisine! A must for those who like exotic (and not so exotic) fresh good food. The main dish is soup, but it is a meal! My advice, is pick a few apps, and order small-sized meals/soup. Enjoy!

Got the roast duck over yellow noodles to go. Tasted Great, Good duck. Untill I noticed the bugs in it... Looked like tiny cockroachs and also had fruit flys. Worst experience with soup.

In need of a clean up but food is fresh and tasty. Watercress and chicken soup is great. Lunchtimes are usually quite busy. Very quick service. Prices OK but not cheap.

Pho Da Lat has several sites that are all excellent. Among my favorite places for Vietnamese north of Boston.
