Went on a Friday for the live music and was not disappointed. Great little band! A little too loud for any sort of conversation, but we managed. The food was very good. Tried the February special: choice of soup or salad and choice of 4 tapas and dessert and 2 glasses of house wine. Honestly, everything was delicious! Except the house red. Fried goat cheese, crab cakes, cod cakes, SUPER garlicky shrimp. Mango cheesecake for dessert which was passed around our party of 6 because it was so fresh and good. The service was not good, however. Dirty dishes were allowed to pile up. Our waitress seemed to not care about us. No water check, bread check, meal satisfaction check. Nothing. It was not crowded and we were basically her only table at the time. To make matters worse, for a 6 top they added a 20% gratuity which was disgusting. Shed been fortunate to get 15% tip off of me. Overall, great food, drinks, and music. Lets work on that waitstaff. Ill go again and hope to give 1-2 more stars.

Warm and very friendly staff with strong "customer" focus. Exciting menu of exotic Cape Verdean Portuguese and African specialties all beautifully prepared and presented. Food was served piping hot and plentiful as befits a great "Tapas" eating experience. The wine and beverage list was extensive. As well, the "typical cocktails" from the Cape Verdean Islands were inventive and quite delicious---I tried 2 different ones! A must go to and experience restaurant----bring all your friends, they even will accommodate parties in any format you wish! Kuzé ki sta fladu---Thank you or should I say---Obrigadu! Mark & Paul

Absolutely horrible. The service was slow and unprofessional. We waited at door for 5 minutes before anyone even noticed us. It took about 15 minutes to be served water. I order clam chowder thinking that would come quick....WRONG. I had to remind our waitress that I wanted my chowder before our meal. The ONLY good thing about the experience was the live jazz band....incidently....every table gets access an extra $3.00 charge for the live music. My first time here...wont be returning unfortunately

Came with a Groupon. Got to choose 3 tapas that were delicious. Chose a variety of seafood and pork. All were delish More than enough food for two. Drinks are very reasonable. We got a bucket of 4 beers for $12. Funny tho when waitress brought bucket she said to let her know if wed need help opening bottles. They werent screw caps! And we didnt have bottle opener. She was busy with other tables so took off caps with a key. Didnt stay for he live music but will definitely return.

The place is way overcrowded and the staff is not sufficient to serve the customers. We waited 30 minutes to order drinks, which took another 30 to get them. Our food order took over an hour, and my steak was rock-hard overcooked. The food did not come out in the right order, and we finally cancelled the last two dishes. One of my friends didnt get her food at all. The noise was so loud we could not hear each other at our table. I definitely will not be going back here.

Food was ok, some things great and others (paella, steak) over cooked. Service was pretty bad as well; place had only 3 tables occupied but we waited a long time (~20m) for drinks, 30m for appetizers and then the server had the nerve to tell us she was closed and basically to hurry up about 10 mins after we got our meals. Thats a no-no in the restaurant business!

Terrific food. Plates were not too small for a tapas place. Probably from the cape verde influence. Great live music also. The food came to us out of order but the style lends well to picking from all the plates. Was a bit of a wait once seated too. Left full and happy though. Deep fried goat cheese! So good.
