I dont usually write reviews, but as someone who goes to ice cream places all around the country, this is one of the best if not the best ever. I dont try every single flavor , but the ones I try are exceptional, especially coconut chocolate almond. Sometimes if you get ice cream off-season in the middle of winter the ice cream is not quite as fresh but still great . If you go during the busy season its amazing. The girls working behind the counter are always quick and friendly, although when its crowded it does take a while but that is only indicative it was a good place and people know it. To the person who said Tiny portions you must be really fat, the portions are huge and if you want more than that there must have issues. To the person who said its busy and its a while to order, thats because its good. To those who complain about the parking again if it wasnt good it wouldnt be crowded.

Super rich and creamy ice cream (one of the few IC establishments that still use butter fat, according to a conversation I had with the owner), with a huge selection of flavors, as well as no-sugar-added lines, sherbets, and sorbets. Five service lines (they finally painted and numbered the lines!) so even at the busiest hours the wait isnt dreadful. Homemade(of course) ice cream cakes are also available. A decent amount of parking with plenty of spillover in the lot across the road. And of course the friendly service makes it all the more pleasant. Expensive? Yep, but only slightly higher than other places, and an exponentially superior product. We no longer live in Cumberland, but we regularly take the trip there just for the Ice Cream Machine.

Sure, this place has a nice small-town ice cream shop feel to it, but theyd be better off serving packaged ice cream. This is a poor excuse for handmade ice cream. The "chocolate" tasted like someone mixed instant cocoa powder into the ice cream. The "brownie batter" ice cream wasnt even dark brown and didnt take anything like brownie batter. This appears to be the only game in town, so I guess theres no much of a choice, but its certainly not worth going out of your way for.

Great quality Ice Cream. Family owned and a great atmosphere. Staff is always delightful. Ice Cream tastes good. Portion sizes are really big. That is my only concern as even a Kiddie size seems to be way big especially when you are trying to manage the weight. Tad expensive but taste and experience makes it a must visit place. Diamond Hill Park nearby in case you decide to burn your calories right after or right before visiting Ice Cream Machine.

A very large flavor selection but the ice cream is nothing to ride home about. The mint chip was like something you would get a supermarket. Still a great place when you are craving ice cream.. Reminded me of a friendlys window with expanded flavors. If you want really good ice cream spruce pond creamery has delicious home made ice cream...the service stinks but the ice cream is worth it!

Nice place, has a large selection of icecream. A little on the expensive side and tough to park on the busy days. Can park across the street at the park, but the road can be busy and fast, so be careful. They can get very busy on just warm days with long lines, but they get to you quickly and offer you help with making whatever concoction that you want.

It is Awesome!!! And they give you the biggest servings ever!!! If you ever go and want a small cup, ask for a kiddie not a small. The flavors are awesome!!! During the summer there is a little bit of a wait but it is worth it. If you are ever in the area, stop at Ice Cream Machine!!!

Scoop scoop scoop it up! This place is the BOMB dot com. I love the Oreo flavors and the peanut butter cup ice cream, its homemade and the pricing is pretty standard for good ice cream! You cant go wrong here, but it looks like it gets crazy busy in the hot weather so plan ahead!

If you are here on a summer night expect long lines. The ice cream here is homemade and worth the wait. They have dozens of choices in flavors and treats. Friendly staff. The kiddie size is like a regular for most ice cream shops. Its huge and plenty of ice cream for one person.

The flavors are unbelievable and each visit is always a pleasure. The staff is polite and very generous with the ice cream. They make wonderful Sundays and the ice cream cakes are delicious. Cash only and youre better off parking across the street at Diamond Hill Park.

I grew up eating this icecream. It was a sunday night summertime tradition in my family. I now live in Virginia and Im all grown-up, but whenever Im up north I try to stop by and have a big cone of almond amaretto, my all-time favorite flavor.

Best ice cream ever. ignore the rest of the poor comments. Huge portions, reasonably priced, great atmosphere. Enjoy your ice cream on a bench or across the street at the local park. surrounded by woods, bring bug spray.

Great ice cream, YUUGE cones, lots of flavors. Its right across the street from Diamond Hill Park (which is merely OK) so there is plenty of space to throw out a blanket or sit under a tree and enjoy your ice cream.

Love their ice cream, so many choices to choose from. If you are not an ice cream lover get a kiddie size cup bacause they dont play when it comes to the amount they put in. I couldnt finish a small :-)
