Im not sure where the negative reviews come from. I found this place on Groupon, and after reading that they roast their own coffee daily, I had to try it. My experience was delightful. I went in around 10 am on a Friday, and it was pretty crowded for that time of the day. Both owners and two additional staff were working. I was greeted immediately. I was there to purchase some whole beans, as I like to grind and brew at home. I asked it they had some kind of "sampler". They did not, but I was referred to the owner, who was very accommodating and friendly despite the busyness of the place. I asked him select for me 6 of his favorite roasts, and he carefully packaged them and labeled each with some notes and the date they were roasted. He was eager to answer any and all questions I had, and seems to really enjoy what he does. He gladly accepted my Groupon. The coffee beans themselves are fantastic! So far his "Linglestown Roast" is my favorite, but I still have a few more to try. If you are at all a "coffee snob", you will love what St. Thomas Roasters has to offer.

I stopped by yesterday morning around 11. I was looking forward to meeting the owner Geof Smith. I was dropping off a flyer for our upcoming First Responders 5K. (Check out Servpro 5K). I had never been here before and was greeted very enthusiastically by Robin Engler. She informed me that Goef was not there. I shared the flyer with her and she mentioned she loves to run. Plus she was totally plugged in as the proceeds go to either your choice of the American Red Cross or the local fire company. I decided to eat lunch there and it was DELICIOUS. The Manhattan clam chowder soup was FANTASTIC. Hot thick and divine. A cup size is like a bowl anywhere else. Plus the Grammy Panini was excellent. I highly recommend to stop by. Incredible friendly service with outstanding delicious food.

Let me start with the postives, umm, I mean positive comment. The food was good and so were the drinks. The prices were okay, not great, and not horrible. Now for the bad parts of my wifes and my visit. When we got to the area we were using GPS and still had a hard time finding the place since the signage was next to nothing. I think the name had changed or something, so the name given was not the same on the sign. Finally, we went into the store and were greeted by the grumpy and gruff owner. We used a groupon and he was not happy about it. Also we did not recieve a punch card or anything, but a business card with a note on the back. Even though we lost money on the groupon, we did not want to return even for the free items.

I wanted to review this place to give it a little more rep around Linglestown. This place is amazing! I stopped by during a long road bike ride and was immediately greeted with a friendly "family-like" atmosphere. There was admittedly a slight crowd and a short line on a Saturday at about 11am, but the staff was very helpful. I ordered the blueberry muffin which is incredible (they offered to slightly warm it for me). I also got their dark roast which was great. They serve in the shop with very nice mugs which serve to add to the experience. They roast all their coffee in small batches with an old fashioned roaster. Will absolutely be going back!

My experience overall was really great. The staff were friendly and attentive and made sure I knew my food was coming up as soon as possible. My sandwich was awesome. But, my london fog wasnt. As a former barista and coming from a family where my parents owned a cafe, I may be a little too picky. But it literally felt like nothing was in my cup, and the milk was super over-steamed. The flavors were great. I just wish I didnt pay as much as I did for a little amount of expanded milk, earl grey, and vanilla. The staff were far too kind and sweet for me to ask for a remake. Other than that, this place was a great find.

Only had a couple of minutes to stop by and I had already had my coffee for the day (I dont get to this area often) so I bought an 8 ounce bag of Java (it was actually grown in Java) Organic Rain Forest Alliance. This morning I have brewed it up. Fantastic! Very stately taste. The roasting of the beans is perfect and very recent (Oct. 13). Glad I finally made it here. Looks like a great place to hang out. It was buzzing when I was there mid-morning and the staff were friendly and attentive even though it was busy.

Awesome little shop in the heart of Linglestown, owned and operated by Geof and Pam Smith. They have a decent selection of newspapers for sale, books to read as well as adverts for local businesses and events. There is a large coffee roaster in the middle of the room, behind the counter. They sell some simple breakfast and lunch items as well, sandwiches, muffins, several flavors of coffee, latte and espresso. On street parking.

Stopped in for whole bean coffee ground especially for my French Press. Not too many places around anymore that have whole bean choices to grind. Plenty of varieties. Have their own roaster. Several organic and rainforest alliance. Have indoor and outdoor seating. Several varieties of coffee brewed to try. Pastry case. Cozy, local spot on Linglestown Square.Parking beside building.

Four years ago I reviewed St. Thomas Roasters and my assessment today is pretty much unchanged from what I said back then. Freshly roasted Arabica Coffee doesnt get any better then the freshly roasted beans youll find here. If you are lucky you may even catch some local entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The fresh coffee and teas are fresh and tasty. The breakfast foods and pastries are quite good. I love buying whole roasted beans to grind fresh at my house. But best of all, the owners Geof and Pam are great. This is a true small business success story and its great to see.

This place is incredible and I always visit when I come home. Its small and cozy. They know what they are doing and the chocolate walnut cookie is to die for. Its very eclectic and the smell of roasting coffee beans is wonderful. They also have very friendly service.

They have live music inside and live music outside during the summer. Friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. Decorated nicely and always smells like coffee from the coffee beans they display. Also one of the best Chai Lattes Ive had! So cute.

The coffee is really good here but the best part is the service and the atmosphere. Helpful staff, excellent café food and desserts. Cozy atmosphere and outdoor seating in a village setting. My local favorite. Great spot for first dates.

Im glad this place exists. Perfect for coffee to go. A little cramped and hot inside though. Tables are too close together and wobbly, spilling coffee everywhere. Ive only been here in the winter. Outside seating might be way nicer.
