I drive by this place to work every morning but just recently got around to stopping in. The place is small-- a counter, a few inside tables and an outside picnic table-- but the owner is super-friendly and very welcoming. Theres a small but nice selection of pastries, muffins, flan, cakes, cheesecakes, donuts, cookies, etc., plus coconut macaroons which are to die for. They also have two kinds of bread, one of which is a sweet shortening bread which my husband and I have fallen in love with. They have a nice selection of sandwiches also, most around $6.50 (tax included), which are HUGE and come with a bag of chips; I tried the Cuban and it was excellent. I now make an excuse to stop in at least once a week, either to pick up a loaf of bread or two, grab a macaroon, or pick up some goodies to share at work. One of my West Shore coworkers says she finally has a reason to come to the East Shore, to come to this bakery... its a Steelton treasure in the making. Highly recommended!

Finally got to visit the Carribean Bakery the other day. They sell fresh made bread, pastries, doughnuts, flan and other sweets. Primarily a bakery, but also has sandwiches. We got a Cuban sub 6.50, filled with a pretty decent selection of ham & roast beef, pickles, mustard. It was really good. Open 7 days a week, and although we paid cash i believe it accepts visa & mc. there are a few parking spots out front & out back, along with a picnic table. This was formerly Belgrade Bakery.

Awesome little bakery, well worth the stop. Theyve got various pastries and a number of delicious sandwiches. The cuban is great, but my personal favorite is the tripleta sandwich. This thing has pork, chicken, AND pastrami - delicious!

Their bread and pastries are delicious. The staff is super friendly. They take credit cards. They have plenty of parking. I plan on going this week and trying one of their cuban sandwiches.
