I was in a pinch yesterday. It was my own fault--I had a meeting at 11:30 AM and needed lunch for 25 people (my week had been CRAZY, and I completely forgot to place a catering order). Anyway, I called three Paneras looking for anyone who could help me on such short notice... unfortunately, with the holidays, every Panera was slammed, and no one was able to take the order. I frantically pulled up Google maps, looking for another restaurant that might have sandwich platters. Luckily, Corner Bakery was just down the street from my meeting. I quickly called and explained my situation, and a member of the catering staff, Jessie, told me they could handle the order and to proceed with placing it online. Even still, somehow the online order didnt show up in their system, and they still had not received it when I called back at 10:00 AM. Jessie told me not to worry-- she asked me what Id ordered and said shed get started on it right away!! I arrived at 10:45 AM and asked for Jessie. She greeted me with a smile and told me they were wrapping everything up, and it would be out in a few minutes. Jessie and the Catering Supervisor, Herman, made sure I had everything I needed-- they didnt lecture me about the order or shame me for being forgetful. Honestly, its really hard to come by good customer service these days, and I cannot thank them enough for getting this order together quickly and accurately, all with smiles on their faces.

I spent last weekend in D.C. My Niece and I just happened to walk into the Corner Bakery since it was on the corner next to the J. W. Marriott Hotel on 14th street, NW. When we walked in, I noticed how busy it was and with all that was going on, there was a great atmosphere. We really liked the food and especially VERONICA, (who was at the register). She was "Ms. pleasant, patient, coordinated, and hospitable" which made our visit there all the more enjoyable. We ended up staying there for a little while just catching up. I also liked the runners. I bought one of the Cinnamon Cream cakes to take back home. It was DELICIOUS and enjoyed by all. I look forward to returning again if Im ever in the D.C. area. Keep up the great work.

Worst service ever.. the lady at the register messed up with our order and we ended up waiting for our food for half an hour !! They didnt know what we ordered and around 30 minutes later we had to place the order again. The only reason we didnt walk out was because we had already paid for the food. The tables werent clean. There was only one guy to serve. He was a nice person but there wasnt much he could do. So after all the wait and a couple of trips to the register, what do we get? Only half of the order. Again waiting for some more time i went to the register, and they handed me the food without a single apology. dont waste your time there. Im sure there are plenty of good places to eat.

Its an equally priced Panera bread with equally poor customer service. Rude and apparently racist staff, that have an issue with sucking their teeth, being impatient with persons with disabilities and icing on the cake is when the manager blames YOU for messing up a clear order. If you ordered turkey and got chicken with bacon, youd kindly ask to change it as we did, but here youd endure terrible rude glances and employees talking clearly about you. Dont waste your time, walk over to Union Station. Our cashier was Timia, clearly not a professional.

Just dont go there. They take your business for granted. Their attitude is like like it or leave. The cashier yells at you to rush you to order. Then they take forever to bring your food and it sure comes COLD. The place is a garbage. Waste on the floor and every table Im seeing is dirty hasnt been cleaned. So you come and you find 30 tables 25 of them are dirty and the rest are taken. Wish I can take picture and post it here.

You guys saved the day! Good food and friendly service with decent prices. Tried the oatmeal...I was pleasantly surprised that it was cold like cereal but oh so good with fresh strawberries and cream...yum. Brought the whole family back for lunch the next day. The lemon pound cake will not disappoint - very fresh and moist. Getting hungry writing this review... "Google, take me to the nearest Corner Bakery" :-)

Conveniently located a block from Union Station, this chain outpost is a good meeting place and decent grub without being part of the nuttiness of the train station. You can also park in front at meters and even take a cab or one of the super-sketchy Ubers right to the door, handy if its raining or you cant walk well, as opposed to the hassle and long walk to access Union Station eateries.

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here. I wasnt expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The food is simple yet very tasty. I had one of their breakfast paninis. The bread had a great crunch and the eggs were cooked perfectly. If we come back to DC we will be eating here again!

Im having a hard time with this review. I had never been to a Corner Bakery before this visit. Ultimately, it reminds me of Panera, right down to the pick-two ordering option, and a decent bakery selection. I wasnt blown away, but I wasnt disappointed.

I order the one with pancakes eggs and bacon! Pancakes were really fluffy and light. The eggs was cooked to perfection. And the bacon was crispy but not to crispy! However the cashier did not have a smile or didnt make us feel warm and inviting!

This is a great location for CB, really close to the Hill and union station. On a nice day its great to sit outside. Obviously the food and options are going to be up to the standard youd expect.

I have never had Corner Bakery Cafe before until June 7, 2017. I was very pleased with the inside. The food was Delicious! I will hopefully go to the Corner Bakery where I live now.

A great location, & the food is consistently fresh. Service can get a little crazy at peak times but the managers are fabulous so hunt one of them down if you need something.

They have good pick two and trio salads. Service isnt that great, so avoid peak timings. Servers have to go around the whole cafe to locate you by your number on the table.

Im ashamed to say I go here almost everyday. I do like the quality of food, and the service I receive. Of course I always order online so I dont have to stand in line.

While there is a lot of people, the food is worth it and there is enough seating. The WiFi is decent and the food is very good. Recommend the Bacon & Cheddar Panini.
