This Panera, where Ive eaten many times over the years, has slipped several notches of late. At the counter today, I learned that my favorite salad -- Chinese Citrus Cashew with Chicken -- had suddenly been taken off the menu. Further, the manager claimed that this was a "new item" and "only offered seasonally" (wrong on both counts; Ive ordered it regularly for at least a year, and last had it in Rockville only ten days ago). Needless to say, I was not delighted, and said so. But at no point did anyone apologize for the situation; ask what I might like instead; or offer to discount my order as a goodwill gesture. When I asked whether the customer even mattered anymore, they simply stared at me and did nothing. This is one of the more appalling customer service exoeruences Ive had this year; and it merits a D-. Ill be calling Paneras corporate offices to ask for compensation. But I wont return to this location until the present staff learns much better manners and acquires some customer-care savvy.

Very unsatisfactory customer service last Sunday night!! I asked the cashier about a menu if it was spicy, she replied she doesnt know because she hasnt tried it. In the past, the cashiers take the time to verify and I appreciate that. We ordered two tomato mozzarella sandwiches. We got two chicken fontega instead. In short, the manager (I think) noticed & I showed him the error. He left and with no apologies. We were hungry and tired that night but noted these. May not come back for a while! Hope you improve.

I am very disappointed in this Panera. I ordered from the app and since I couldnt find their pick up orders location I had to ask. The person seemed really unfriendly and just looked at me like I was blind and pointed to where it was. That was very rude! Also when I got to work I noticed they forgot to give me chips. I only received the sandwich. Very unpleasant experience thats made me second guess completely to order from here.

Panera has gotten expensive and way to busy for me. place is always packed at lunch time. Their picked 2 used to be priced very competitive but now its just plain expensive. food still tastes very good and service is usually pretty quick, but if you can order online and just pick up I would do that, a lot faster at lunch time

I have seen roaches and mice in this location. A mouse ran across the dining room floor and hit my foot. I saw a roach on the wall near the soda machine. Im done with The Columbia Mall Panera. Catch me at Dobbin. Happy eating - B.
