Place doest look like much from the outside and the inside isnt all that much better, but you can expect a decent "diner like" quality to the food they serve here. They have two different seating area--at a counter where you can watch the folks prepare your meals, or in the dining area sitting at a traditional table. Every time weve been here, its been seat yourself. Weve been here multiple times for breakfast over the years and the food quality is consistent with decent service. There are always some specials on the board and on my most recent trip, went with the pumpkin pancakes. There was a hint of pumpkin flavor in them, but certainly not real strong. If there are multiple people drinking coffee at your table, then they will generally leave a caraf and you can refill on your own. Service is quick and they seem to always be pretty busy, at least for breakfast. When you are done, simply take your check to the front counter to pay. If you are looking for a quick, basic breakfast, then this is a place worthy for you to check out. But there are quite a few other diners in the nearby area and there is really nothing special about this place that would make itself stand out from other area diners.

I go here most Sundays with my father to eat breakfast. Theres always a bit of a wait since its so popular but we can usually get a spot at the counter fairly quickly. The food is always freshly prepared, moderately priced, and tastes good. The breakfast is much better than lunch or dinner, in my opinion. The building itself is a bit run down, it has to be said. But the service is prompt and friendly, and dont be surprised if a friendly stranger starts a conversation with you. All in all a great place for breakfast!

This will be our first and last time at The Sushine Cafe. Started off with a nice cup of cofee and a friendly waitress. Then waited long time for food which was cold, tasteless, and unexeptional. I will never go back here again. Sausage tasted like it came out of the freezer and was tossed in the microwave. Needless to say, we did not even finish our meals. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give it a 1. I do not recommend coming to this restaurant.

Food was ok. I got a small cheese steak sandwich on a Kaiser roll, could have had a little more meat, but it was tasty. Came with potato chips and a pickle, she forgot the pickle. Raspberry iced tea had very little raspberry flavor. My friend had the cheese burger club, she said it was good, and unsweetened iced tea. Ill go back again to try something different. Maybe for breakfast too.

This is a simple diner like facility in small town PA. If your looking for comfort food at affordable prices, this is your place. Yes the service could be faster and the menu could use a few modern touches, but they are confident in their facility and the staff is personable. Good breakfast, fun place to eat with family.

Were sitting talking after finishing breakfast and the waitress came to our table and said "Are you going to be leaving soon? I have people waiting."" Not a way to get repeat customers !! Needless to say that young girl went tipless at our table...... perhaps some lessons in people skills are in order .

man i love working there by the way my mom owns it and im the bus boy on sundays and Saturdays and thursday morning for the weekend and bus at night and my sister is a waitress so is my aunt my other sister buses with me on sunday and im in a blue hat if u have a problem come get some!!!

In March 2010 I was driving out this way and drove past this place and recalled that I had been there before along time ago. I recall that it was in the summer of 1992. 18 years later and the place was still there and deservingly so. Hope to make it back again.

Great family style diner with reasonable prices. They are really busy on the weekends but turn tables over quickly. They have a nice patio outback for outdoor seating and an open kitchen. I love the homemade sausage gravy and biscuits.

but I am homesick as can be and I am missing this place something insane. Occasionally, usually on weekends, the place gets a bit crazy and you might be asked if you are going to be much longer, but it really is worth it.

I like a good breakfast and this one tastes like a diner breakfast. Fine by me. Much better here now that dont have smoking anymore. It can get crowded and you can feel rushed to leave. Nice servers. A little run down.
