As a person who grew up never eating red meat, and who now doesnt eat chicken either, it can be tough going to restaurants. Half the menu is automatically a no-go. If you can relate to that, and youd like it to change, Sutao is the place for you! Sutao cafe has a vegan chinese buffet with all sorts of great stuff in it! Starting with the salad bar, they have great kim chi, yuba (which I do not see very often), and vegetable sushi rolls. The main buffet has a great selection from lemon chicken, an Indian style curried chicken and potato dish, dumplings, General Tsos, and Thai style mock duck with cabbage. All vegan. On holidays they often go all out with special dishes added in taking up some of the space normally reserved for seating. Its a bit pricier when they do that, but they have some really interesting exotic dishes when they do. If you dont eat meat, or are even just trying to cut down on it, but you dont want to miss out or feel restricted, Sutao has great food and a relaxing atmosphere.

We ordered 2 beef with broccoli and an eggroll for pick up. They did not include the soy or mustard as they said. The beef was pounded paper thin and tasteless. They only provided one container of white rice for both orders. The eggroll was small and bland. There was no brown sauce in either order. We had to press the lady at the counter to provide a receipt. They didnt even include fortune cookies. What Chinese restaurant doesnt provide a fortune cookie?? Needless to say we will not be coming back. Save yourself the aggravation and choose some place else.

Ive been coming to Su Tao for years. I love the food. As a vegetarian for over 40 years, I have tried many different Asian style restaurants vegetarian offerings. Su Tao is the best! The buffet is a bargain, and the special event buffets are mind-blowing! Every item is vegan (so Sandy, dont know what youre talking about "beef"). From appetizers to desserts, I always leave satisfied. And the service is absolutely excellent. Well worth the hour and fifteen minute drive from my home!

My favorite 100% vegan restaurant in Southeastern PA! Highly recommend the buffet with its super fresh and unique cold sald bar, soup, and hot food bar with something for everyone. They also have a full menu if veganized (mock meat) versions of standard American Chinese and other Asian menu items. SuTao is a travel destination for vegans, vegetarians, and others seeking amazing healthy food throughout the region.

The first time eating at this restaurant I wasnt sure what to expect, but it was amazing. I was never a big fan of tofu but they create such amazing dishes. You can tell they put a lot of pride into their food. After the first visit, I have returned every month at the least. Ive been going to this restaurant for a long time... But is been awhile since Ive been there. I wonder why? The quality was not too good, nor was the service friendly, and the price has skyrocketed. That explains why there was no one there No wonder why...that explains why no one else showed up for lunch at noon time on a Saturday afternoon... We will not be back unfortunately...

This was easily, hands-down, the best vegetarian chinese Ive ever had. Probably also the best chinese buffet Ive ever been to. There are a handful of good veg places in Philly, but this little Malvern spot destroys them all. If you find yourself anywhere near Malvern, this restaurant is worth seeking out. Absolutely fantastic!

Always good. The raw buffet includes some tasty pickled and spicy dishes that are not over done. The cooked buffet has mostly traditional dishes made with vegan replacements for the meat, such as tofu or seitan. The only non-vegan things youll find here are the names of the dishes theyre simulating. And they do it well.

The server was rude to my friend, but the food was good. Some of the cookies were stale though. I heard great things about this place from a friend and maybe I should have went with my friend who goes there often to not be treated rudely. If you hate your job, get another job, but dont treat customers like trash.

Ive been coming to Su Tao for over 15 years and nothing has changed. The food quality and selections are always very good. I agree with all the other raters.... great place for all; vegan, vegetarian or not! The atmosphere is a little stark but when I go there, its because Im hungry and want the food buffet!!

Love this place!! My friends and I try to eat here multiple times a month. Super delicious, and very affordable. The best place to eat in the area if youre vegan, which I am. Dont listen to what that fool wrote below me. If you dont want to tip your server, dont go out to eat.

The all you can eat Lunch buffet is great. I am not a Vegan and this place seriously convinced me that you can make great vegetarian food. Everyone should be able to find something that they love even if you are not a vegetarian. Very attentive staff.
