Service was terrible. I ordered: 2 eggs over medium, with home fries, pork roll, and wheat toast. Simple right? Wrong. Food comes out with hash browns and rye toast. I complain about the hash browns, she takes it back to the kitchen, and says to the chef "He changed his mind, he want home fries.". I didnt change my mind, thats what I ordered. She brings it back two minutes later, I eat my eggs, take one bite out of the toast and realize its rye toast, which I hate. I tell the waitress its not what I ordered. She goes back to the chef, tells him I changed my mind and I want wheat toast. Ugh. She brings back wheat toast, no need to butter it this time, I had to do that myself. Well whatever, I resume eating, waitress disappears, no refill for my water. I end up giving up five minutes later because my food is getting cold, waiting to get a drink. I complained at the front desk while paying, hostess didnt seem to care. Its too bad, Ive been to every diner in the Reading area for breakfast and this place probably has the best breakfast. Unfortunately, that isnt really saying much at all.

I went in with senior citizens that I work with, one of which was having a birthday. We got great care and assistance, our waitress, Elizabeth, was right on top of things, very patient with us (coming back several times until we had our order, ordering additional drinks later, etc...this may seem like ordinary service, but with our group, let me tell you, it was much more than "ordinary"..lol) Our food was delish and portions are large! Salad bar looked all fresh and well kept up (it was a busy afternoon.) Prices are good, I think we spend about $27 not counting tip for 3 of us and 2 of us brought home food. She also came out with a surprise cupcake and candle and her and another waitress sang happy birthday to the birthday boy! That made his day! Growing up in the area, this was a regular spot, especially as teenagers. Its gone through several owners and name changes, but I think its been Route 61 Diner for a while and it looks like theyre doing things right! :)

I was just here eating and everything was ok until they gave bad service to new customers. The waitress gave an excellent service to the customers including myself but the owner treated the waitress really bad. Customers were waiting over an hour for their food and the waitress said sorry because of the service. The waitress talk to the owner and was willing to pay for the food which the owner didnt want her to pay for it and wanted the customers to pay for their own food. At the end the owner fired the waitress. Cant believe a very nice waitress got fired by the owner because of a good service. Unbelievable, Im not going there to eat again.

Terrible experience....ordered a hot roast beef sandwich and got turkey, breaded fish fillet was partially raw inside, the clam chowder (as they called it) had an herb in it that completely took over...the worst chowder you can imagine! Finally, the green pepper and onion on my california burger were the end pieces (typically what would go in the trash) and could not be bitten through. Oh, and asked for mayo and didnt get it until I asked twice again. The owner came to the table and when I explained our dis satisfaction, he said "oh, ok", and walked away. I will never waste a penny in that place again! One star because I had to

The food has really gone down in the past few years. Tonight has been the worst food yet. Chicken wrap it ranch dressing. Wrap wasnt even warmed it was breaking apart chicken was frost bit and you can taste it and no ranch dressing. Their version of cheese fries (disco fries) they put one slice of cheese over a pile of fries so the fries on the bottom had no cheese. And it wasnt even real cheese it was thes that was like 51% cheese. How do I know by the way it melts. It melts then dries right away where as cheddar or melted American stays creamy. The place just sucks, too bad for waitress because they are so nice.

Personally witnessed the owner Nick degrade and humiliate one of the waitresses tonite. Have heard horror stories of undercooked food, and spoiled food in coolers from employees. Quality of food is horrible, and ignorance from owner and hostess is intolerable. Would never recommend this place to anyone, its a horrible place to eat, and the management is a bunch of ignorant and disrespectful Greeks and overweight hostesses that constantly touch food and never wash their hands. Bathrooms are filthy, and paper towel dispensers are always empty. This place should get shut down by the Board of Health.

Stumbled upon this diner which has now become our "go to" place. We eat here at least once a week now. Great salad bar with daily specials. My husbands favorite is the baked lasagna. Meals come with 2 sides plus soup and salad bar. This man can eat and he has never once left hungry. Completely satisfied with foods quality as well as quantity. Waitresses impressed me also. If Britney is there we ask for her because she has left a fantastic impression on us, although Rosa served us at one time and she was absolutely wonderful as well. Highly recommend giving this diner a visit.

Was there last night. Got one of their Tuesday dinner specials, the Greek salad and gyro. It was excellent. Comes with 2 sides, soup and salad bar. It was so much food I couldnt finish. The gyro was done right. They didnt skimp on the meat and the tzatziki sauce on it was very good. First diner Ive been to where they got the Greek food right. The salad was amazing. Lots of feta and olives. Even had Dolmathakia on top. It was superb. We had a party of 6 and the waitress was on top of everything and super polite. Overall a really great experience.

The place seemed crowded with a lot of locals on a Saturday morning. I couldnt figure out why though. The food was mediocre at best, my order was wrong, and the place is dirty. For example, we had a piece of a paper place mat stuck to the inside of a glass of ice water. Thats kind of gross.

Great soup and salad bar. My favorite dish is chicken lasiona; love the fresh scallops, shrimps and sauce. My husband loves the Paninis. We fill on the salad bar that sometimes we take the main course home...to enjoy with a movie. Nice staff.

Roach running on the table when the lady moved the table. She had to stuff dirty paper towels under table before sitting down to stop table from rocking. Also, had piles of dirty dishes in a shallow2 bin right next to tge salad. Disgusting.

DIRTY I GOT A CUP OF COFFEE WHEN I GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF MY COFFEE, THERE WAS A LARGE PIECE OF SWEET N LOW PACKET. I DONT TAKE SWEET N LOW WITH MY COFFEE. WHEN I COMPLAINED THE DIDNT CHARGE ME FOR THE COFFEE, STILL AND ALL I AM GROSSED OUT.

Food is what you expect, its a diner. Need a dishwasher person. Cups are filthy and cups come with lipstick somwetimes. Do not order dessert, you can tell they are either stale or just getting mold.
