I expected to pay quite a bit here for lunch, but was very happily surprised to find the food prices VERY reasonable especially for a tourist destination on a major highway. I had six of my children with me, and they all loved the chicken nuggets. I tried one and enjoyed it myself. The portion for the kids meal were very nice and even my teenagers had some food to bring with us. I had a burger which was also quite good. The staff was very friendly, patient, and kind. Of course the Grave Digger design was originally the main draw for us, but I was incredibly happy to see that the quality didnt lack either. They obviously care very much for creating their own reputation and arent just relying on the draw from the monster trucks. We will happily go back again on our next trip to the OBX!

I was in a party of seven. Waitress brings food for 4/7 and tells us the kitchen screwed up and didnt make the rest of the order. No big deal - it happens. We waited for almost an hour before our food finally arrived. We watched other families arrive, eat, and leave before we ever got our food. The only apology we got was from our waitress, who at least didnt make the three of us pay for our meal. The food was decent, but theres absolutely no excuse for the poor service. Ill skip this place next time were heading to/from OBX.

Came upon this place by accident during our road trip in Oct. 2014, decided to stop and have lunch. Food was very good, service was good, the waitress and counter-person were very personable and friendly and we were served in a timely fashion. Would definitely stop again on our next trip down South.

The diner was locked up at 3pm on the dot Saturday, Oct. 3rd. Their Facebook page says open until 4pm on Fri-Sun. On Google, there is no updated hours. We were hungry, viewing the trucks prior to eating. This rating is based solely on the diner. Hours need to be posted and updated.

We planned our 2017 family vacation to North Carolina from Illinois just to go to Diggers Duggan and Diggers Diner. The food was amazing but the service was even better!!!! Well worth the many miles we traveled! Its true you never know who you may eat with!!!

More of a cafe than a diner. The menu is small, and there are no vegetarian options, except french fries. The dining area is also very small. There are a handful of tables, and decent sized counter with stools.

The place is cozy and friendly. Our waiter was a pro and the food was great. According to the cook, I look like Frank Fritz from American Pickers. Im not, but they still treated me like a star. So glad we went.

Stopped there for my sons 5th birthday on the way to the Outer Banks. It was cool. The 5min ride is $5 a person. Decent gift shop but Im sure you can find the same stuff cheaper online.

Its become a home away from home for us. The girls know my kids names and sometimes we even catch Dennis behind the counter. Come one Come all to Diggers Diner for breakfast and lunch!

I didnt have high expectations but this was pretty decent diner food and the service was great. We had lunch but the breakfast items seemed to be the locals favorite and looked tasty.

Great dinner to stop at. Simple but home cooked meals. Depending on the time of day you might even run into Dennis Anderson (Grave Diggers driver) eating their also.

Found this place by accident driving to the outer banks. Very good breakfast, good price, and when your done eating you can take a ride in a monster truck.
