Omg! Ive been eating from this place since they opened over 10 years ago. At first the husband was the only issue with his stink a** attitude (his wife makes up for it because shes always nice and always compensates if they get something wrong like free food or extra drinks etc ) BUT they have this stupid b-word in the front who is long on eyelashes but short on sense! Her attitude has made me and everyone I know stop eating here. She is sooooo rude. Its like pms every single time! The food Ill give an easy 4 stars (closest thing to NYC Chinese food) but youll wanna slap her if youre picking up. We have a large family so when we order its never less than $60 at a time but she acts like youre begging so we take our money elsewhere. If they hired someone with manners theyd double their profits within a month.

They have good American style Chinese food. And theyre a community place thats been around for years. They deal with a lot of ignorant customers so I think their service demeanor is actually impressive. (他们的美式风格的中国食品味道不错。社会和谐是显而易见的，多年来。本地客户有可疑人物，所以我相信是非常令人印象深刻的服务风范。)

I kinda like the fried wings. This place is super dirty. Also the workers are dirty. Rude owner and workers. I will never eat there again. What a mess!!! That place is filthy . How the heck they pass health inspection. Long time ago the first owners were nice, this one look and act like a pit bull. Quest what though? I think happy family is the fastest selling restaurant in the Reading area. Why??? I thought people were mindful of the consumption of unsanitary food. Well, maybe some of us. But dirty family is a hot mess and a fast seller.

My first time ordering from there, delivery took an hour and a half! Thats not even the worse part, we ordered Orange chicken, there was some sort of skin like that didnt belong to no chicken ! It was completely fried, but certain not crunchy like when you fry chicken or anything, I grabbed it, it was literally like a piece of crunchy leather!!! We couldnt even eat anymore, it was totally gross !! I will never order anything from this place ! What I want to do is call the health department and submit the pictures and video of whatever it was that was in our food!!

Unprofessional the lady who answer the phone is horrible and ghetto she hung up on me and was very ignorant ! I order food with drink and I got the food but no drinks Ive been waiting for the drinks for 2 hours now! Horrible very unprofessional and makes me very pissed I have to have cold food now because my drinks still have not came ... never going or ordering from there again.. thats why they probably dont have much people anymore beacsue of her !

WORST CHINESE EVERRRRRRRRR Only got it one time... It took two hours to arrive. Thats right... 2 whole hours to be delivered without warning. My husband and I ordered standard meals general tso chicken and shrimp with broc.. How bad could it be right? Awful. The food was hard and tasted old. Disgusting... We couldnt even finish it. I highly suggest not ordering from them ever.

The worst experience ever. I had a problem with my order I was waiting for my order from another Chinese restaurant and i accidentally paid for these dumb asses and got the wrong order i paid $23 and i didnt get any change but this wasnt even my order. Then I called and the person who i spoke to gave me such a bad attitude . HORRIBLE PEOPLE

Ive been going to Happy Family for years and as the time goes by the Service & food gets worse! But today the service was absolutely the worst and food was HORRIBLE I will NEVER order food from there I DONT recommend this place not even to my worse enemy. The ladys attitude when i went to order sucked. This was the only place I get Chinese food from. I waited over an hour for my food for it to be sloppy thrown together and my lo mein was barely in the container and the delivery driver was also unpleasant to Set it all off. The food isnt worth the crappy service.

I called to order take out. Lady answered put me on hold... After 10 min of hearing the person who answered swear at a customer, they finally decided to take my order. Then proceeded almost immediately to swear again and argue with customer again. Hung up will never give them the time of day.

After being placed on hold for five minutes, I heard her take someone elses order and answer a call. I hung up and called back and when I told her she left me on hold she laughed and hung up. This is unacceptable behavior for any establishment. Im never eating here again.

i sat here and told the lady i wanted plain white rice and they sent me friend rice.. i called back to tell them i wanted white rice and they told me i was wrong and hung up on me.. i will be stopping in there to complain face to face with someone...

I hate this place the food is disgusting I bought food there once and I left it out for a couple minutes and the food was smelly and with a bad flavor, so that mean that the food was not fresh and it was so old that it got damaged in just minutes.

Placed an order on line at 524 pm called at 630 still no food! They told me they were on there way! lies! 700 pm still no food called to cancel and the girl who picked up the phone was rude! Dont order for them they are so unprofessional

This place sucks. they took almost two hours to deliver my food when the stupid lady said "25-45 minutes" they dont know what theyre doing there. best chinese food in town is definitely 4th and chestnut!!
