Atmosphere: Cozy hole-in-the-wall that offers primarily half-booth seating (with pillows) Service: Friendly, helpful Korean staff Cost: Slightly pricey lunch menu (about $12 or so as of the time of this review) and there is a limitation of two cards for splitting a single check (though cash can be used to cover the rest) Dining experience: I came in with three co-workers and ordered the grilled mackerel lunch special with a steamed egg and rice for my sides (accompanied with some hot tea for all of us). Various little side dishes (kimchi, spicy cucumber-pickle slices, and a few other things) greeted us as our sides were served. The steamed egg dish came in a steaming hot bowl (go figure) and was fluffy and light enough to eat with a spoon (which I confess to have found easier than using the other default utensil: smooth silverware chopsticks). I personally preferred to mix the rice, egg, and other side dishes together rather than eating each individually (though the latter methodology would seem more uncommon). The grilled mackerels fishy aroma matched my expectations for its hint-of-teriyaki taste: delightful. The bones were a bit tricky to eat around (had to pull the meat in the same angle), but the fish came apart easily enough (once the cooked outer part was broken-in). Aside from the initial awkwardness of breaking the outer parts/pulling the flesh from the spine, the experience was pretty satisfying. My coworkers ordered bulgogi (chicken and beef) and miso soup, and everyone had a positive experience for the most part. Based on my two experiences so far, I think this is a pretty good restaurant for an alternative change-of-pace lunch. Just make sure to divide the bills BEFORE ordering (only two cards can be used if splitting evenly).

The staff are fresh off the boat, but dont let their seemingly stern looks fool you. They waited attentively on me, took my order as soon as I was ready, and were more than willing to give me any extra things I requested. When my dinner was ready to be served, the waitress rushed up to the cook window and grabbed my plate, placing it right in front of me while kindly asking if I needed help assembling the dish or if I knew how to do it myself. They kept an eye on me during my meal and made sure my drink was always full. The dulsot bibimbap was very choice and Ill have to get it again. Ill definitely keep coming back here!!

Rotted, disgusting kimchi jjigae for lunch - either the meat or kimchi was rotted. I know Korean food. I cook Korean at home. I have been to Korea. I know you can use "old" kimchi for this dish but this smelled like it should have been discarded a week ago. In my own frig have kimchi and doenjang (the pungent ingredients) and they dont smell like this. Just ate rice with gochujang and the limp looking sides. Only 2 other customers at lunchtime, should have know better.

Very badly, the boss lady treats customers in the worst attitude if she thinks you pay too little tips to her and shouts at you to ask you revise the tips to follow their restaurant recommend percentage of tip on the bill at least 18% and even more she hidden takes your face picture by her cellphone even if youve already revised and added 18% tips to her, really dont know why she does that. This behavior has already violated private law. Never go to there next time.

Love this place! The food is always so tasty and the family that works/owns the place is extremely friendly. Very fast service and high turnover. Be aware if you have a larger group though - there isnt much space (I think maybe 30 total people can be seated at any given time). But if you have to wait its totally worth it.

Very tasty and an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. We went with our in laws and had a great time. The service was a bit slow and sometimes incorrect. Our server suggested there was a bit of a language barrier between serving and kitchen staff. The food was nonetheless fantastic after we got some extra spice.

It was really rude waitress. We went to with 5 kids and little bit massed up. When we finish eating waitress said that we need to clean up things. I never saw this kinds of waitress to forece to clean up to coustomers. So I dont want to pay tip but she already charged 18% tip when she charged bill.

The worst place to eat. They have the rule for at least $25 per credit card. And they force us to do so. They also forced us to give at least 15% tips. But the service is really bad. All the dish is overpriced. They give very little per dish. Really recommend that you dont go to this place.

This place has very rude waitresses . They didnt seem to like that I am not Korean. They could barely speak English. The food is overpriced, and very mediocre. Customers could just buy this food from asian groceries, and prepare it much better than this restaurant.

This was my first time eating at a genuine Korean restaurant and boy was it good! My friend loves this place so as per her recommendation, I got the Bi Bim Bap in a hot stone bowl, with dumplings as an appetizer. The flavors in my Bi Bim Bap were so good!

Some of the dishes are good but the price is way expensive compared to other Korean restaurants in Pittsburgh. But the place inside is clean and stew dishes are great (but dont eat the stew dishes that have sea food in it - not that great)

Their Korean BBQ beef is overpriced, but others such as Korean pan cake or Spicy soup is excellent. Bring your own bottle.
