Nice place, nice coffee, good atmosphere. The service is usually good enough, except for today. We asked for two cappuccinos. One of them had all the coffee spilled over the cap and the underneath dish. The flavor was sour, not a common thing in this place. Its ok, It cannot be perfect all the time. As Im taking the dishes back to the counter, I let the guy serving know about the spilled coffee (was planning to mention the really sour flavor). He initially said he doesnt understand what Im talking about, then proceed to tell me that next time I can keep that feedback to myself. Ok, since he didnt want to hear about it, then I bring it here to see if someone can do something about it. Been clients for years here. It doesnt make any sense to hear that back from this guy.

Love almost everything about this place and it would have got a 5 star review but one staff member is so unpleasant that I now avoid going in anytime shes working, which seems to be most of the time. Of all the Cafes along Forbes and Murray we enjoy the 61cs offerings the most but would rather settle for others in order to avoid unpleasant interactions. Update: I have been there twice since writing the last review and the unpleasant employee has not been there. I stopped in this morning (July 8th) and had the most pleasant and friendliest barista yet. He restored my faith in the 61c.

There are many regular patrons who come to do work or socialize. The rows of closely placed tables allow patrons to have their own space without being isolated from those around them. The coffee is good if you like it strong (except at night when it tends to be stale) and the muffins are excellent. The pastries are made daily by the long-time manager, son of a baker and irascible contrarian. =) The outdoor patio is beautiful in nice weather, especially in the spring in summer when the surrounding plants bloom in the warm glow of the lights strung overhead.

Excellent Cafe. Great for getting work done on your computer while drinking a fine crafted delicious beverage, be it fine grade coffee or tea. Excellent almost academic like environment; this is a locally owned and operated business and Keith goes out of his way to make the locals feel welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking do some studying, coffee drinking and a bit of eating. They even have a great outdoor area for those who prefer the outdoors or like to be with their pets.

The person working here today must be having a really bad day... She was annoyed that we ordered two smoothies and asked my husband if "was it really that important?" When he asked her to use the granola that didnt have nuts in it for his smoothie... she threw the cookie that my son ordered on a plate and couldnt even be bothered to say "you are welcome" any of the times we said "thank you". I highly doubt we will stop here again when going to the orthodontist across the street.

This place is lovely! The clientele is sometimes a little weird, but other than that, everything else is absolutely fantastic (and its not like they can control who comes in). Great atmosphere, awesome espresso, and most importantly, QUIET. A lot of coffee shops are loud, but this place is more subdued. I need a place to do some studying, and I think Ive found it!

This place charges way too much. The staff, especially the owner, are surly and rude. I recently got a scone that was terrible and politely informed them of this--they couldnt have cared less. Their baked goods appear old and as if they have sat for a long time. Im surprised other reviews are so positive. Not mine!

One of my favorite places to study in college! The macchiatos are served in nice porcelain cups which is a nice change from all the paper cups elsewhere. Theres a nice selection of music and a good amount of wall outlets. Wifis stable usually (depending on how many people are using it I guess).

My favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. One of the reasons I moved to Squirrel Hill. Sadly, the newer baristas are horrible at espresso drinks. They also sometimes play horrible music at extremely loud volumes (think early 2000s pop). Going downhill quick.

I come here to get work done on my computer or to read. The atmosphere is great, the tea is excellent, and the selection of baked goods is enormous and very tempting. The employees are helpful and pleasant. I feel comfortable here.

My favorite cafe in Squirrel Hill. Sure the clientelle can be a bit odd, but ill go to this small coffeeshop before anywhere else in Murray. The coffee is strong, and the atmosphere is nice!

Its a cozy cafe with good food and drinks. We ordered smoothies and they took a while because they only had one blender. Other than the wait, I would recommend this place.

Excellent express, prepared by an experienced barrista. It has the feel of a real coffee house without the glitzy decore.

It is a nice cafe, with indoor and outdoor sitting options. It is not bright and fancy but has its own charm.
