We heard Geeksboro puts on popular series every Sunday and as fans of that series, we were quite excited to attend. I posted on the Geeksboro page asking about times, tickets and general information. I did not get a reply, so we decided to wing it. We showed up 30 minutes early to a completely packed house. Not only were there no seats, but you could barely MOVE. We opted out of standing on the sidelines. As we were walking out the door, a worker approached us and said "next time, get tickets". Great. So the following week, I check the website (no info on tickets), I tried calling (no pickup) and finally got back on FB and sent another message to which I DID receive a reply... In riddles???? The person on the receiving end would not give me a straight answer, took over 10 posts to get him/her to tell me they DONT sell tickets and that if I wanted a spot I needed to get there "early" and apparently "early" is about 2 hours before the show starts. Just overall disappointed with it all. But according to the management(?) they have so much business that they dont need ours.

I went to Geeksboro just to stop in and do some quick computer work at a small table. This was around noon and the place only had a couple of other people in it; very quiet and not busy at all. Twenty minutes passed, and I was asked to leave. Apparently you cant stay unless youre a paying customer. This theory makes sense if maybe this was a busy lunchtime restaurant or chain cafe. Its sad that my value as a customer is only desired with a monetary value from a local business. When I think of local business I think of building relationships that surpass the local chain coffee shop where everyone is unfamiliar. My experience at Geeksboro was opposite of what I had hoped, and what really put a stink on it as well, probably the reason I wrote this, was because along with getting kicked out I got just plain rude service too. So thus, I was told by the waitress that "this [Geeksboro] isnt a library and this is a business", and I happily took my money to spend at a different nearby coffeeshop that didnt mind if I worked on my computer for a little bit.

Geeksboro is by far my favorite place to meet up with friends in Greensboro. Geeksboro provides a great service to the city of Greensboro by providing an environment that is fun and friendly for all ages. Geeksboro offers so much to its customers, ranging from trivia night to video game tournaments to a movie cinema to board game nights. The beverages here are fantastic, and they choose to support local business by brewing Krankies coffee from right here in the Triad. They offer a variety of baked goods, of which many are made by talented individuals here in the Triad. Geeksboro offers so much to the community through all their events, great atmosphere, and quality food and beverage. In addition, Geeksboro provides all these things and still provides reasonable prices. And did i mention that they also have a Boylan soda fountain? It is amazing how a place can offer so much to its patrons. After giving it a try, dont be surprised to find yourself coming back again and again. Help support local business and support Geeksboro

Geeksboro is an excellent cross section between a coffee shop and nerd culture. It has frequent events including the viewing of popular television shows, a weekly board-game night, video game tournaments, annual comic-inspired proms and more. They have expanded their specialty beverage selection to include hand crafted sodas and draft beers. A couple of criticisms for the location is firstly the distinct lack of foodstuffs, most of which are sweets (You are allowed to bring in food from neighboring stores but no where else) and secondly, even when the store is mildly busy, the music is annoyingly loud. Mostly because they only have a pair of large speakers at the front of the shop providing music for the entire establishment rather than smaller speakers throughout.

Joe at Geeksboro should be complimented for being a great community partner. He hosts a group of 12 to 20 people in the back area of Geeksboro one Friday morning every month for an hour and a half to two hours. These people are members and guests of 8 different Rotary clubs in Greensboro. We hold a meeting to discuss the Rotary projects that are happening in our local community and internationally as well.We move the tables all around and sometimes make a lot of chatter. All he gets out of the arrangement is selling a few cups of coffee. I have not personally checked Geeksboro out at other times of the day but have friends who do. Stop by and see Joe and tell him the Rotary Clubs of Greensboro sent you. Thanks Joe.

I love the coffee here but usually always take my drinks to go. It is a bit dingy inside and I feel like the whole place could use a good scrubbing. Im super weird about places feeling clean so that may just be me. Regardless, I really enjoy their coffee and I love that there is a place for all of us geeks to get together in Greensboro. *Side note: Unless you are very tall, never go see a movie with subtitles in the downstairs theater! I saw Princess Mononoke here and regretted it. Everyone in the second row and back was visibly struggling to read the subtitles. I dont speak Japanese and hadnt seen this movie since I was a kid so I was a bit lost at times.

My family and I are Whovians! Weve been coming to Geeksboro since November 23rd 2013 to watch new Doctor Who Episodes. The community of Whovians we watch with are awesome and Geeksboro has delicious smoothies! The staff are awesome people! When they turn the lights out for our favorite show, tiny blue lights on the ceiling, give the feeling youre enjoying Doctor Who under the stars! We recently added BBC America to our tv at home, but cant imagine watching new Doctor Who episodes anywhere else! After all, what Whovian wouldnt want to watch brand new episodes in the room with a giant Tardis! :D

Ive been coming to Geeksboro since before the day it was officially open, and I have to say it is an experience no less than lovely. The crew that runs the ship definitely deserve more than a round of applause for all that they do, and Joe Scott is a master strategist when it comes to advertising and planning all of his wonderful events. And if youre a movie connoisseur, a hardcore gamer, or a board game player, or even of trivia royalty, or in fact none of the above! Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema has something for everyone. Its like joy with a shot of espresso and of hint of Doctor Who.

Groovy spot, good vibe really nice people. Walked in and one of the baristas immediately commented on my shirt and made a personal connection, that was really nice. Reminds me of a geekier version of some of my favorite old school grunge coffee shops. I like it. Doesnt feel pretentious and super welcoming to new people. Plenty of seating too, which is nice. Looks like they are super involved in some neat stuff, I like it enough to come back and check it out. The chai is really tasty, kinda sweet but I like it. 10+ bonus points they have Blenheim ginger ale!

Geeksboro is an inclusive place to hang out, drink coffee/beer/whatever, and play console and board games. They have events all the time, and weekly trivia with a cash prize. They also now let you bring in food (no drinks) from Hops or Marias in the same shopping center. They have wheelchair accessible single-room restrooms and a family restroom. One has Spider-Man on the door and people seem to treat it like a mens room (seat usually left up), but really theyre unisex. No one will hassle you for whichever one you go in.
