Unusual flavors done right! Everything Weckerlys makes tastes outstanding and fresh-- A mint ice cream, for example, will taste like real fresh mint leaves, while the raspberry sorbet tastes like the real fruit. I believe the base for their ice cream is also made organically, in-house, and I was shocked at the level up in taste this makes. After the many disgusting (but initially hopeful) experiences of Little Babys wacky flavor ideas, its so great to see a place that really knows what will work in an ice cream. Also, be sure to get the waffle cones-- made fresh with a hint of cinnamon.

Saw Weckerlys featured on FYI Philly and I had to try it! Its a long drive from Cheltenham to Frankfort & Girard, but I was motivated and my experience made my trip worthwhile! I really enjoyed the samples I tried (Vanilla w/cranberries) and a chocolate concoction with whole grain cookie crumbles-delish!! Also tried a sample infused w/rosemary! Not bad at all! I purchased the chocolate and a sandwich with coffee ice cream! Yes, I look forward to my next visit!

Occasional disappointment when they dont have your favorite flavors or when they sell out quickly of their featured flavors after promoting them. But this place does super fresh premium ice cream & ice cream sandwiches with interesting flavors very very well. Plus the staff have never given me any shade or grimace when i wanna try a flavor. Poor area parking keeps me from getting in & out for a nice ice cream treat. Cookie dump, blueberry pirate are good.

Cannot get enough of this place. Weve been following and eating this ice cream for a while, and finally there is a store. Their ice cream is REALLY REALLY good. They always come out with new flavors and ideas. Seasonal ice creams are absolutely awesome. Koko Blue ice cream is to die for! A must try place in Philly. They also come to many festivals around the city and Southern New Jersey, Collingseood Farmers Market being one of them.

We read about this place from a Zagat article and I had very high expectations. My wife and I love ice cream sandwiches and they had some unique flavors to offer. Blueberry ice cream between cardamom graham crackers, lemon verbenna ice cream between sugar cookies, and chocolate/vanilla ice cream between chocolate chip cookies. This was a food highlight of ours and I highly recommend anyone passing through this area.

Delicious homemade ice cream that you cant find anywhere else in the city! The menu is small, but always has inspiring flavors that rotate often enough to keep things interesting. Its rare that I walk into Weckerlys and leave without grabbing an extra pint or an ice cream sandwich for the road. Also the staff are friendly and awesome— I enjoy talking to them and appreciate that they humor me!

Definitely the best ice cream Ive had in Philly. All the flavors offered were delicious, unlike most ice cream shops where your choice is obvious. Andy was extremely friendly and helpful. Him and his wife have been making ice cream for a few years until they finally decided to open a storefront recently, and what a great addition to Fishtown!

Before Weckerlys opened their own location I was following them around the city to cafes and local art or community festivals, thats how good their ice cream is!! The ingredients are fresh and local, and every batch has its own unique flavor. Try a cup, cone or sandwich for yourself, youll be addicted soon too!

Everything was fantastic, the ice cream flavors are clever, unusual and all homemade. Their blueberry pirate ice cream is both sweet and tangy with beautiful color. Shop incredibly clean with friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. They give free samples and the whole place smells like fresh-baked cookies.

Really good homemade ice cream and ice cream sandwiches. I didnt get a sandwich, but after chilling out front eating and watching the people with theirs, I kind of wish I did. They make them with giant homemade cookies and looked incredible. Definitely what Im going to try next time.

This is how real ice cream is suppose to taste. The different combinations somehow works. Theres a balance of all the different ingredients and flavors. This by far is my favorite ice cream shop. Its so good that my Im willing to travel an hour to get my fix.
