Came around 10:00 pm after dinner at XIX-Nineteen. It was a short 3 block walk. When I arrived I went to the register to order. There were three employees standing there but none of them acknowledged me. After a few moments I asked one young lady if they were still open. She said yes and that someone else would be with me soon. In a minute or two if someone else came over and asked for my order. I asked if they carry cheesecake as it was a bit cold for ice cream. She seemed confused and asked to other employees although I have seen cheesecake in the display window. Finally one of them said yes and retrieved it for me. The cheesecake was good but I can get better dessertdessert and better service elsewhere. Didnt leave a great first impression...

Omgosh, so glad Center City didnt lose this iconic ice cream shop! One of my favorite places too get a custom ice cream blend. Its like you are the ice cream maker and any flavor you can dream of, is yours for the making. I always adored pretzels and vanilla bean ice cream. Now when ever I have a craving, I know for sure Scoops can satisfy that pang. The new location is awesome and theres some old staff favorites along with many new faces (Hey Ronnie, KJ and Maddie...:-) Definitely worth treating your taste buds for their ice cream blends. Must-go-to place in downtown Philly. Dont take my word for it, try it yourself. But be warned...whatever you blend up youre gonna be hooked on Scoops!

Went in for a birthday cake for my friend. It wasnt the nicest of the days, but based off reviews I was fairly shocked that the store was empty. Grabbed the Mint Chip Cake. I didnt catch their names, but the two staff members that were on duty were incredibly helpful getting writing on the cake, asking me if I needed candles, and even asked me if I needed plates on my way out (it was Saturday the 28th at around 1 pm). The cake itself was quite delicious as well. A very subtle mint flavor, not the kind you can get sick of after a few spoonfuls. Will definitely be back

Place was okay but not great. The Gimme A Break ice cream was great, had it with vanilla yogurt instead of chocolate. Now their ice cream cookie sandwich is where they failed. They had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for it. After a back and forth discussion, they understood and made it. Heres where they failed. The ice cream between the cookie was great but cookie itself was hard as a rock and didnt taste good. I couldnt even bite into it if it was just a plan cookie order. Would not recommend this place if thats what youre looking for.

Waited in line for 40 minutes as my anticipation built to get a non-dairy ice cream treat (lactose intolerant here, so I was excited that they had a menu for us!) But when we got to the counter, we found out that they were sold out of non-dairy - and had been all weekend. A simple sold out sign on the chalkboard menu that proudly announces "Try our non dairy ice cream!" or some note on the laminated menus when youre sold out would be appreciated to save some time...Left empty handed :(

By far one of the most delicious dessert experiences of my life. The employee who was on was extremely helpful in going over the menu with me. I decided on a very simple mix- vanilla ice cream with sugar cookie dough. It. Was. So. Delicious. Incredibly creamy and flavorful ice cream paired excellently with the gritty, sugary dough. I had a smile my whole walk back even though I was eating ice cream in December. A must stop

No wait, but 20 MINUTES FOR FROZEN FUNNEL CAKE. when i finally got it, it was hard over cooked and i had to check in 2 too many times. girl with natural hair super helpful the ponytail girl with the attitude 10 thumbs down, wouldnt acknowledge me only after the other young lady who didnt even wait on me said something to her. Edit added 2 stars, i complained they gave me a refund.

This is one of my favorite places to eat ice cream. I wish they had more in Philly. Theres sooooooooo many mix ins. Like two pages worth. The possibilities are endless here and the staff are so friendly. I think this place is better than cold stone ! My favorite thing to get is chocolate ice cream with banana , sea salt and chocolate pretzel mix ins !

If I come back Ill just get ice cream. I ordered a milkshake and it really wasnt very good. Pretty thin, like chocolate milk, but then again maybe its just my preference to have a thick shake. Chocolate flavor was lacking as well, but that could be because of all of the milk. All the toppings and treats looked yummy though.

Had Dairy Free Ice cream on christmas eve. Got the worst case of food poisoning that Ive ever had. Violent vomiting all night long, intense pain and nausea that lasted for days after. I was the only one in my group who had it that night, everyone else liked their ice cream. Holiday Ruined. :(

I was in on a Saturday night, not too busy but they were short staffed. We stood in line for about 20 minutes. My order was wrong, twice. The topping list is extensive but the ice cream itself isnt good. Also, the oreo topping is just the chocolate cookie made into dust.

This ice cream shop is a popular spot on Walnut street. I have been twice to date. The customer service is satisfactory and the menu options are endless. I highly recommend Abbey Road. The root beer floats are just as good.

A fun place to pick up a scoop of ice cream with all your toppings custom-blended in. A small signature-flavored ice cream cost just under $6 so its a bit pricey, but its a lot of fun and perfect for a hot day!

Great little ice cream place who knew there was a happy hour prices for ice cream. Great selection of ice cream and toppings and they have these awesome machines that mix up the ice cream in a special way.

I got the smores sundae which had vanilla ice cream, graham cracker pieces, hot fudge and melted marshmallow topping and it was so good. It was big too so I couldnt finish it all.

Listening to an order is a challenger here along with offering a basic waffle cone. Chocolate chips translated to rainbow sprinkles so I compromised with chocolate jimmies.

Great selection - almost too many options to decide. Friendly service and fairly fast. Only complaint is that the store was uncomfortably cold on a very hot day.

Blended ice cream (blend multiple flavors and topings) seemed unusual, but tasted great. Lots of classic candy sold here. You can also get unblended ice cream.

My wife and I think this place is an amazing place to sit and enjoy some good quality ice cream. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
