With all the wonderful places to eat in Manayunk, please do not waste your time with this place. I have tried this place three different occasions; for drinks, dinner and brunch. It was OK enough for having a few drinks, but anything more than that and this place just sucks. Brunch was the worst. Stuffed french toast was crummy. The meal was supposed to come juice, coffee, toast and muffins; I was offered not of that. Had to ask for my muffin after my meal, and when they told me they ran out; their replacement was a burned English muffin with three sticks of butter on top. I complained about the experience in a kind manner, but they could not care less. In summary, eat at any other place on main street; almost everywhere else is decent and most are excellent. Thanks and have a nice meal.

The bartenders are pretty ok. The best time to go I feel like is during the weekday. They have a great brunch but the last month weve gone the kitchen has been super slow to get food out when it wasnt too busy, the bartenders seems frustrated or dont care... The last time we went, the kitchen was changing from brunch to lunch... After 40 minutes, we still couldnt order food. A few other tables left to go else where as well. Bummed about my last few experiences during the weekend, and were pretty patient and well mannered about it every time. I guess I would only go here during the week unless I have nothing to do all day during a weekend.

I stopped in after moving back to Philly after 18 years. It was dinner time on a Wed. night and the place was empty except for me and a friend. The bartender was inattentive and spent most of his time in the back somewhere. Same for the owner who was sitting at the bar. No greeting, no smile, no checking up... nothing! I couldnt believe this was a business. I used to manage the place in the late 80s up to 1991 (under two different ownerships) and it was hopping back then. The food was simple but good and everyone made you feel welcome.

Ive only ever had a pleasant experience here from the staff, to seating, to menu options. Brunch is excellent and their cooks seem like theyre having fun. Great prices on the menu, but all mixed drinks seem very weak which is curious since their house whisky is Jameson -- not cheap, but used extremely sparingly from what Ive observed on the bar (speaking from experience.) For a Sunday Brunch in Manayunk that doesnt have a waiting list until next Sunday (Looking at you Winnies!) this is the best option.

Angry Bird Breaded Chicken Sandwich is fantastic! Turkey Reuben, Chicken Gouda Cheese-steak, Wings, Liberty Fries with dipping sauces... Brunchs Philly Cheese-steak & Eggs Wrap, Bacon Gouda Tater Tots, Hot Bloody Mary, Steak & Eggs, French Toast Specials... are all some of my favorites. Combine that with Guiness & Smithwicks on Tap as well as friendly staff & outdoor seating... this is my favorite place to frequent in Manayunk.

Its cramped inside, and we always get seated outdoors, which is all right normally, just dont let yourself get seated anywhere near the alley. Youll get swarmed by little buzzy, gnatty things. Under new management; just not as good as it used to be. Especially the Mac n Cheese; used to rock, now it IS a rock.

Had lunch there. Asked for medium well burger and received it burned on the outside which made it bitter. The caramelized onions were good. The side dish was cold macaroni salad - really?! It tasted horrible. It seemed like it was left over from the night before. Service was good.

The service was okay. Had some pretty good food though and the drinks were not bad. If I recall correctly several of their menus are outdated and do not contain the right information, but the wait staff was able to provide the correct options (only if you asked).

Came here for breakfast , their breakfast choices are minimal but for a bar you cant really complain. The prices are great and their seating availability is better than some of the adjacent joints.
