We went to Porch restaurant for our Valentines dinner (a day early) so are in the fine dining area upstairs. I picked it because the chef prepares every dish himself. That means you wont find dozens of the same usual meal choices you can get on any corner in every city. The wine, salads, and meals we had were absolutely superb. My wife had a bleu cheese salad unlike any we have had before, and I had fried a goat cheese salad which was amazingly flavorful. Our dinners (shrimp in white wine garlic sauce and flounder stuffed with shrimp, crab, and scallops) were fantastic. We regret that we were too stuffed to each get a dessert so had to "settle" for sharing the coconut pie and forgo the chef made ice cream which we heard the next table raving about. The coconut pie was well worth the few bites we could fit, and the remainder will be consumed today. We will be back!

We have been going to Chef Joes for years and years and one thing had always stayed consistent. The food is excellent and his crab cakes are the best I have ever had. For those of you who have looked at reviews and have seen the best crab cake claim at many places I will tell you right now... This place will ruin your opinion of crab cakes at other restaurants. They are literally the best crab cake you will have and you will stop ordering them at other places after having his. He is a beer fanatic and always has 80 or more craft beers and unique beers. Although I would say first timers definitely get the crab cakes all his other food is equally as good.

What a terrific little gem. The atmosphere is country, and the downstairs bar and pub perfectly reflect that in their quaint atmosphere. The upstairs is a perfect gem. The dining room is nice, not particularly elegant - but the food makes this absolutely worth the drive from anywhere. The very young French trained chef is astounding. The moules frites were better than most we had in France, the fried oyster appetizer was perfectly brown and crisp, the dinner duck portion was small, as we were warned, but elegant and wonderful and exactly what I wanted, the salmon was terrific. This place is definitely worth a drive from anywhere.

Loved it! Excellent place to eat! The Porch is the ideal local B&G! The food was reasonably priced, gourmet caliber and made of materials that are quality organic and local. The staff was folksy and friendly, but not pushy. There is an outstanding beer selection and the pours are heavy. The atmosphere is a Hippies take on an pub or colonial corner house.

This place is the worst and if thers a problem with the meal they take it out of the waitress sailery be warned. The waiters are also not freindly and the food i got was cold had a betterr meal at freindlies after be warned about the staff they also dont like it wheb u bring children they complain alot and my cousin got yelled at for no reaason.

I dont who thinks this restuarant is bad because your crazy! Maybe sitting down stairs the food is more normal and casual but upstairs is amazing! The chef is incredible! He makes the most amazing soups and entrees and they have the most fabulous types of beer you can find!

Nice, peaceful and dainty place to be with your friends. We just ate the appetizers... smoked trout bruschetta was the winner. Shrimp and hot buffalo wings were great. You get some good beers... we had Franziskaner Weissbier. Brought back memories of Munich, Germany.

We are in the area for work. We have been here twice and will definitely be back. The food is excellent!!! Crab cakes are superb. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly. You can tell the chef takes pride in the food served.

Had an excellent duck, medium rare with raspberry glaze that was deliciously sour and sweet. Soup of the day was sweet corn and crab chowder, perfectly spiced to show off the corn. Value for the price was outstanding.
