Paynes is a great family run diner with good food for the price. The sandwiches are large, spaghetti is sweet but good, and the service is adequate. A friend tried their roast beef on weck and was write disappointed. However, the price point is great, and there are specials every day. It just feels good to support places like this instead of going to a chain restaurant

I live in Lexington, KY and was recently visiting my home in Dunkirk, NY with my son. He wanted to go to a fish fry and his uncle suggested Paynes Kettle & Keg. The food was great and Im not a big fish person. Our server-Sarah-was outstanding. We will definitely return whenever we visit Dunkirk.

Worst fish fry I ever had had the disgusting skin still on and I was there twice and saw mice both times. And owner is to cheap to pay the 2.75% credit card fees so they dont take credit card cards st all Hello wake up itd the cost of doing business "!!!

I heard negative things so I experienced it for myself. Our waitress was AMAZING. She informed us on all phases and food was delicious. Took a little on food but worth the wait . I like that it smells and feels clean compared to last ownership
