Came here for dinner with my wife. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and asked for them "as hot as you can make it" and my wife ordered one of the soups (cant remember which one). For drinks I got the boba tea and she got jasmine tea. The Drunken Noodles tasted pretty good, but the portion size was hands-down the smallest Ive ever received at dozens of Thai restaurants Ive visited up and down the east coast. Spice level was mild, so either the waiter didnt write down my request, the chef was sarcastic, or this place is the mildest Thai restaurant Ive ever visited. My Boba Tea was another disappointment. 70% ice in a small cup, yet I paid $4 for it? I remember getting Boba Teas in college for that price that contained twice (maybe even 3 times) the actual drink for that price. My wife was not impressed with her soup, which was made with what were obviously Ramen noodles. Ironically the couple sitting next to us had ordered the same soup and they were equally disappointed from what I could hear. On the plus side, her Jasmine tea was excellent and the personal carafe it was served in was charming. Probably wont go back. Just not worth the high prices for the miniscule serving sizes.

We were originally heading for a different restaurant in Lancaster for dinner on a recent Friday night, but found out they had closed. So we were downtown looking for options and happened to spot this establishment. We enjoy Thai, as well as other Asian types (Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, etc...) so we decided to give it a try. There were not many people at the restaurant, but it was coming up on 8pm. Between the 3 of us in our party, we tried their Pad Thai, Vegetarian/Tofu Pho, and a Basil Chicken dish. The food was okay, but nothing wonderful or full of flavor. The Pad Thai was probably the best dish at the table. The Basil chicken lacked basil/flavors. It was basically stir-fried chicken & vegetables without much flavor to it. And weve had much better pho at other places. The service here was actually very good, and we like having a BYOB policy. The ambiance was fine, and the restaurant seemed clean. Overall, its an okay place to go, but theres nothing memorable offered here that makes us want to go back again. There are other much better Thai restaurants with much more flavorful foods.

I have been to some highest rated restaurants in Lancaster [e.g., John J.Jefferies (poor service... frankly, Applebees has better service); Gibraltar (definately worth checking out); Josephines (far overpriced for what you get and you are way better off going to McLearys when in Marietta as their food is superior to Josephines any day]. Anyway, since moving here a year ago I like this place best of all for dining out. It has really great thai food at very reasonable prices as well as quality service in a nice atmosphere. Truth be told, I hesitated writing this review as I dont want the place to become so well known and popular that I need to make reservations in order to get a table. -The Finicky Foodie

Food was very average. Might work out well for the American palate, being quite mild. But for someone of asian origin like myself, it was way too bland. The Thai Basil curry barely had any basils in it. The service was also bad. Had asked for a Thai iced tea, which I never got. But was billed. Also a 20% gratuity was added to the bill, in-spite of this. Im happy I never received the Thai ice tea, because they use half & half instead of coconut milk in the tea. Anyways I pointed out the error, which they corrected, along with a recalculated gratuity. I may have gone back there again, to try out other items. But this gratuity just made them lose a few potential customers. Good bye sa la.

After reading all these raving reviews here we were very exited to have a great lunch at this place. To our surprise it wasnt the case. The ambiance was nice, the service was nice, but we were very disappointed in taste of everything we had (though we love Thai cuisine very much). Everything we ordered ( starting with soups and finishing with entrees ) was tasteless and watery and looked NOTHING like the pictures on their menu. The only thing we enjoyed was Sticky rice and Mango dessert. The price was over $30 for two which is not a good value for lunch ether. Sorry Sa La Thai, but it was our first and the last visit.

The staff couldnt possibly be more helpful! They were very sweet and attentive. The food is fantastic! I feel stupid - this place has been here a while and Ive probably gone by it more times than I can count and never noticed. What a gem! Great place for a date or just a meeting with friends. It feels pretty upscale and the prices are a bit on the high end, so Id definitely grade it as a "fancier" restaurant (not that this is bad, just fyi so you know!). Really really love this place - especially their Drunken Noodles. Get them extra spicy for a real treat!

We just ordered take out. Went inside to pick it up on a Saturday night at 6.30pm. The place was dead. Red flag. Spent $28 on two entrees and $7 on an appetizer and received 3 small containers of food and 1 small container of white rice (for two people???). Red flag. Once we opened the containers, the smell of dirty foot began to exude into our living room. Red flag. The taste was not much better. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Will NOT be going ever again.

I love this place. Ive gone here probably a dozen times and have always had a good experience. Is it the best thai food I have ever had in my life? No. But it is always consistent and always good. The BYOB policy is a bonus if youre looking for that in the area. It is an easy place to go with 4-6 people, which can be hard to find sometimes. Check them out!

There are four levels of heat (chemical, not physical). My wife and I ordered the same level. She looks Korean (is half Korean) and Im Whitey McWhiterton. Her dish was quite spicy, and mine was barely anything. The food was fairly OK, but they obviously think white Americans cant handle the heat. Avoid this place on principle.

Came with a few friends and a few bottles of wine and had a blast! Two of us had the Green Curry and the other had the Pad Thai and we all loved it. If youre not into curry that is overly spicy, they can tone it down for you to make it enjoyable. Definitely plan on going back shortly!

Sa La Thai has OK food, but very, very, very inconsistent with spices and flavor. Their food can be good, and I would want to go back, but then the next time, their food would be less than average. Some of the servers are quite rude. I wouldnt go back again, too inconsistent.

Finest Thai cuisine dining experience. The decor is very nice and cozy. Service was good too. We were a group of 10 people and everybody ordered different dishes. All the dishes turned out delicious. A definite must go even for people who are not great fans of Thai cuisine.
