Since moving to the Lancaster area 4 years ago, weve looked for a place to buy good coffee. We happened upon The Coffee Company about 2 years ago and were very pleased. The coffee is always good, regardless of the brew/blend and they have really good pastries and deserts. The breakfasts are above average, but we found the lunches and dinners to be lacking. Service is the main draw back. The servers are either excellent or the worst. We choose our server when we arrive to prevent problems as we now know which servers are good. If you are looking for a place to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee or a desert, this may be the place for you.

Ive been coming here for a decade. But today was the last time. The coffee is fine, food decent, location is terrific, but the service almost always disappoints. If a customers coffee cup goes empty in a coffee shop, you have failed. If a customer has to ask for a refill, waits for ten minutes, and then is just given the bill without coffee, well... Ill go elsewhere for the next decade. I dont like leaving negative reviews. I truely *want* to like this joint, but after driving all night looking forward to eating here, DADDY NEEDED THAT SECOND CUP OF COFFEE!!!

Went for breakfast. Great atmosphere, good coffee, good service. Food was terrible! I dont know if it ws just the Cream Chip Beef, but it was so salty that I couldnt even finish my plate. Actually didnt feel good after eating all that salt. I told what looked like a cook that checked me out and he said he thought it was ok. He must have been licking a salt lick before he tried it because thats the only way you wouldnt notice it. Prices were a bit high. Almost $10 for chip beef and homefries. Most places the homefries are included.

Honestly, its a pretty chill spot. I really like it. Perhaps a tad pricey as far as food goes, but not to any great degree. The food is above average for a coffee shop. The service is good. With the exception of one, all the servers are friendly, and the exception isnt unfriendly either. The coffee is good, as are their specialty drinks. No WiFi though, thats not a huge deal but still. Also, it is always clean, and has good atmosphere. I would honestly recommend it to almost anyone.

I really like to meet friends and clients here. Today, I was there waiting for a friend and was offered a cup of coffee while I waited. My friend never showed up but I noticed the wait staff had a pretty good feel for how often to offer to get me something. Very comfortable inside and four or five tables outside.

I feel like everytime I go here and get a coffee it has hints of hazelnut. Why that is, I have no clue. I tried changing it up by getting different drinks but the taste is still there. I thought I was going crazy and I wasnt about to let hazelnuts do me in.

Good coffee, nice piece of cake but the service was terrible! Our waitress ignored us. It was almost impossible to get a refill of our coffee! And this is a coffee house. Too bad. We were going to pick up some gift items but decided against it.

This place had good coffee, and pretty good pastries. I havent had any of the real food yet, but thats ok. I did have a red latte (latte made with roobois tea instead of coffee), and i really liked it. Will probably get another sometime soon!

Very good coffee, ambiance, and service. The seasonal special (grilled cheese with peach, mozzarella, basil, and bacon) was delicious! Its a great place to stop along rt 30. Ill definitely be back.
