This place needs a good cleaning! Im afraid of what the kitchen may look like... A friend asked me to pick up breakfast from this place so I tried to call ahead and they wouldnt take an a phone order until after two because they were really busy in the morning. I had to go in and place the order and wait. I asked what the difference was and she said she didnt know. So I go in and to place the order at the counter and get immediately hit by foul odor... It smelled like a pig pen... Ugh! I look around and corners are filthy and carpets stained the smell is just terrible. Somehow it still the place to go on Sundays here in town... Not sure if its because its the only dinner in town, the food is that good (mediocre at best in my opinion), or standards are that low. Either way... Not for me!

I went out to eat on a whim at Beltway Diner. The interior was so nicely done and very well kept. We went in the late evening, and they have a 2 for $21 deal for their 21st anniversary on Fridays. We got a steak that was cooked perfectly (which usually is a rare occurrence), mashed potatoes with gravy that tasted like KFCs, French fries, Manhattan clam chowder, fried shrimp and flounder, a side salad, and shrimp wraps (not what we expected but were very tasty and fresh!) all for $21! I dont see how you can beat that. You got to pick your choice of two meals that came with soup or salad and one appetizer to split. We also go an eclair to take home. The staff was friendly, and we had a great time. I will definitely be returning. Im not sure why people had bad experiences.

IwasOnly eat their a few times one was Thankgiving day didnt need reservation their wasnt a largre waiting line a mstter of fact we didnt even had to wait and the servic was excellent the platters were huge the survice was just as good as meal and we got their from my home got right in and anice thing was we werent rushed or had to rush to eat and right away have to leave we were their for about almost a hour an the prices where fair for a holiday I thought it was definitely. Worth it holidays are alwaws a rush rush situations in a hurry to go know were all day after expecially sfter eating Turk I highly recommend this Dinner I would rate it from a 1 to 10 a7 to a9 you wont be sorry piece of God be with you and jave a nice Easter

If your looking for the best deal for your dollar, the Beltway Diner is the place to go in the Hazleton area. The food is reasonably priced with a good variety of choices and wait times are relatively short. If you are a breakfast lover, than you will have no trouble finding something good on their all day breakfast menu. The dining areas could use a bit of an update, but thats a minor issue considering how nice the people working there are and the small town, communal feel of the diner. In summary, I would consider the Beltway Diner a great option for a meal anytime of the day. You wont be disappointed.

Paring down their menu took the flavor with it. When my favorite dish was no longer on the menu, I narrowed down my selection to one or two choices. I ordered a porterhouse, ended up with a flavorless slab, drab potato, and watered down vegetables. On a positive note, the few remaining french fries from my wifes plate were a flavorful end to my meal. I wish that I ordered a plate of french fries instead. Disappointed. It will be a while before I return. Its not quite the same as it had been.

This was the only place in Hazleton that I would actually call worth eating at. If your visiting from out of town its nice to get some variety (different places) but every time we tried something else, we ended up saying "lets just stick with the diner". Aside from all that, the people were very friendly, the food was good and very hot, and it was worth coming back to every time. Dont waste your time looking at other places.

If I could rate a zero I would. New owners. Ordered a sandwich I have had many times prior but this time parts were missing and just far from right. Sent it back only to be told they would not make it right. Sent it back and told them to stick it up their ass. The waitress who has been there a long time is leaving because the new owners are "assholes".

This is one of the only good diners in the area. I really like their breakfast, which is served all day. The staff are nice, nothing special. The food is straight up diner food so dont expect a fine dining experience. The dining rooms are decent and Ive never experienced a long wait. Theres also a counter to sit at off to the left.

Ive only been there for breakfast, but Ive been there a LOT. Always great food at reasonable prices. They have a breakfast special thats like $2 for eggs, potatoes, and toast, cant beat it. It definitely has a "homey" feel, far from trendy or polished, but if youre looking for a go-to diner, the Beltway is an excellent choice.

We had the lunch specials , Seafood Diablo, large large menu for everything anyone can ask for in any setting resonably priced ,with cleanliness, as well as curtious help. Lots of space and staffing for any need. I am thinking the ownership is of Greek decent. Good wholesome eatery diner.

Service is ok but when you ordered well done and get raw ewww and when you ask for no dark greens in salad cause of meds and get a bowl of them really top off well done burger hard like a hockey puck and a deluxe mean lettuce and tomato guess they forgot .screw coming back.

Of all the local diners, I think I like the Beltway best. They have a nice menu with many options and the place itself always appears pretty clean. Most of the time the chef is accommodating too. As a vegetarian this is appreciated. Nice diner!

Food and desserts are good. Service is really slow. As I write this, weve been sitting here for 40 minutes and our server hasnt even shown up to take drink orders. This is the 4th time Ive been here, and that is pretty typical.
