I have been ordering food from Wild Tomato for 2 years. I was always impressed with the food however the customer service and management was ATROCIOUS. On three different occasions they forgot part of our order. On the last occasion I was very upset about the lack of integrity and ownership the management displayed in correcting the mistakes. I asked to speak with the manager and was treated with absolutely no respect. He never apologized or offered to make the order right. Instead the owner verbally insulted me and told me, "I was wrong." After him rudely hanging up on me I decided that I wasnt going to be supporting a company that treats their customers that way. After three months of not ordering from them I decided to try them one last time. When I called to order the food the owner got on the phone. He explained, "We werent allowed to order food from them because of the negative feed back we gave them about our previous order. Speechless doesnt even begin to explain how I feel about my experience with the owner of Wild Tomato. As a customer I should not be treated like this. I am not a picky person however, do expect to get what I order and PAY for. I would think twice about giving business to this company. I hope they can grow up and realize they are supposed to provide the customer with a good experience. And when they dont they should do their best to make it right.

When I found the ad for this place in the Clipper Magazine, I was really excited to try it. Reading over the menu, I salivated at the thought of the garlic knots. They sounded like theyd be so nice and soft and chewy, like the Olive Gardens breadsticks. We got two orders of them because we didnt know how big theyd be. We also ordered a deep dish pizza for me and the Godfather hoagie/grinder for my husband. Well, when the food arrived, my first thought was that they got the order wrong. The pizza had the sauce on top (which is fine if you like that, but I dont) and it didnt look like a deep dish at all. It looked like a normal pizza. A few steps above thin crust! Very disappointing. But the biggest disappointment was the garlic knots. They were practically burnt. They were so crispy it was hard to eat them. The only pleasure I got out of them was licking the parmesean cheese off of them. My husband said his grinder was amazing, though, so it wasnt a complete disaster. Im not trying to discredit this restaurant, because I love family run businesses and they donate to charities and they just seemed like a really nice establishment. I was just really let down and unfortunately I dont think I will order from here again.

This is just rating #1 for me, Im intending to give this place another shot. I ordered delivery to downtown Harrisburg after seeing one of the Wild Tomatos menus and a coupon in our break room. Food arrived about 1 hour 15 minutes after ordered (was quoted 30 to 45 minutes). The order was a whole wheat white pizza and a full sized Gobbler (turkey bacon sub). When the food arrived, the pizza was barely warm. Despite the cold pizza, the flavor of the whole wheat white pizza was absolutely delicious, with a chewy and flavorful crust without the heaviness one would expect from a whole wheat dough. With the quality of food, I intend to hang onto the menu (along with a one time discount card I have been given due to the problem with delivery) and try to order lunch delivery at another time. I think if I picked up my food from the Wild Tomato it would have gotten 5 stars.

had purchased 3 on line gift certificates that were about to expire, gifted one and had two to use.....stopped and ordered a littly Italy gluten free pizza when I was on my way to a meeting. While waiting for my pizza, I called my sister and reminded her to use her certificate. Ate pizza while waiting for meeting to begin. Best pizza I had ever purchased! (even before I knew I needed to eat gluten free) Called my sister back and told her how good it was. She came from twenty plus miles away and ordered the same thing, she was also amazed how good GF pizza could be. Last night we took a GF friend back to use last certificate. Wife and GF friend ordered the same pizza with same result. YUM!....so they said, I didnt get any....had to settle for a side order.....

Pros: Excellent food; Very allergy conscious; Fast and friendly service Cons: They arent open Sundays and arent open in the mornings; Not easy to access We absolutely love this place and go out of our way to visit when were in the Harrisburg area. They have the tastiest subs which are a real treat to those with wheat allergies - they have gluten free versions of everything. The deliver to the local area and are open for pickup. They just dont have a dine-in area so dont expect to eat while youre there unless you sit at one of the outside picnic tables or in your car. Parking is adequate, though its not always the easiest place to find or pull into. Google Maps on your phone will get you there. It helps to be coming from the direction of US-322.

My family was traveling through Harrisburg PA and stayed at a local hotel. Ive been watching the gluten intake and am always looking for good substitutes, and with pizza delivery that can be hard to find. We ordered delivery and they did not disappoint. We tried the pizza (small regular and a GF) the pizza was very good (they even have green olives, the rarest of pizza toppings). They also have a GF sub roll that was the best gluten free bread I have tasted yet. It was the first sub Ive had in a long time and it was as close to regular bread I have ever found. Delivery was exactly as they said in 45 minutes.

Wild Tomato has undergone a couple ownership changes since my last review and let me just say it has been nothing but for the better. The new owner(s) is/are wonderful. Very friendly, staff is great and the food has most definitely improved. You definitely are getting what you pay for. Their sandwiches are stuffed to the max and their salads are huge. I havent tried their gluten-free pizza yet, but their regular pizza is awesome. They scratch-make their marinara and salad dressings. Delicious!

BIG RIP! I thought I would splurge and order a tray of lasagna for our Valentines Day dinner. The menu I had from 2 months ago said $39. When I picked it up it was $46. I thought ok, it will be exceptionally delicious. My bad. It was just ok. Mostly noodles and cheese, no meats. I pick up freshly made lasagnas at Sams Club for around $15 that are much better. When I called and spoke to Bob the owner, he was very rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, they wont see me again.

We live 3 hours away and make it a point to stop by when in the area. The owner talked to us about all his precautions for making the gluten and dairy free pizzas and was very helpful. I especially loved their subs, wings, and fries too! The gfree crust is thin like most, so dont expect much for that, but the gfree bread for subs were excellent. People complain about the cost but its what I pay for pizzas in dc.
