I worked here for one week. And I loved it I put my all, times ten to learn and pick up everything they were training me to do. I put my two weeks notice in at my previous job and on the days I had off I worked there to get a slight head start in the one job I was beyond passionate and excited to start. I got fired through voicemail not because my personality or lack of experience but because I was too slow. I treated everyone there with respect I was more than willing to use my 4 years of baking and pastry arts in technology school to help out with cake orders as much as I can. I was even willing to learn more techniques from the cake decorators at this bakery and to make sure I was doing alright I asked every employee at least once the one week I was there is there anything I could improve on not one employee told me a thing they all said I was doing good. But as I am getting ready to walk to the Kutztown location to learn more material I get fired because employees and customers were complaining about me being slow IN MY FIRST WEEK!!!!! She wasnt even professional about it either she did it over voicemail and had some nerve to make a very disrespectful remark on my previous employment, saying that what I did there must have not been much. I was so shocked I couldnt help but cry my eyes out they have no idea how bad this hurts because this wasnt just another job for me this felt like a dream come true. I was so proud of myself I actually had a job that I was already dedicating my life to, only to be tossed to the side now without a job to fall back on except the very one that puts me in very deep levels of depression.

Just moved to the area and had a sample of their cake in the shop in Hamburg. Tasted very good. Ordered a cake along with a picture and assurance they could make the specific style of roses to place all over the cake. Went to pick up and there were no roses at all. Still pretty, but NOT at all what I had asked for and nothing close to what was on the picture I had given them. The cake was good, but the icing seemed rather sweet compared to what we had sampled. A little disappointed with our experience.
