Yesterday was my fourth visit to the Zapata truck at routes 80 & 81. I got a quesadilla with shredded pork. It was to die for. Previously I have had steak tacos and chicken quesadilla. The chunk chicken was better than the shredded, but the shredded pork surprisingly was the best. Overall, the quality of ingredients and cooking is exceptional. Honestly, I could see an article in the New York Times praising this place. I heard about it first from some kayaking friends in the area, and now I look for ways to go there when I am remotely near the area. Left full and happy and with a T-shirt yesterday. In addition to quality food, this place has a contagious spirit and pride in their Mexican food/heritage as well as good, fun ways of sharing it. Yesterday I dined under a tent with a trucker and a plastic skeleton; love it! Reminded me of Tucson, AZ. Drums, this is a treasure of a business you have.

"Mexican Food So Authentic Trump Would Build A Wall Around It" was what caught my eye as I pulled into the rest stop on the Megabus. After mulling my options inside the gas station, I looked across the street and thought what the hell. As a Mexican food aficionado, these are hands down the best tacos Ive had in years. Tortillas are out of this world, the beef, onions/cilantro/and green onions were the perfect topping to my tacos. If I could I would bring truck home to NY with me. I usually take megabus when traveling from NY to State College (college student) and boy am I glad I found J. Zapata. You know its a great place when "There is no chef inside, just a man with a certificate and a passion for cooking" graces the menu. Keep it up!

This is by far the best mexican food around, so dont be put off by the fact that it is a food truck located in a gas station parking lot. Their mexican tacos are so simple and delicious! I usually order the Mexican tacos with pastor and mild salsa because theyre my favorite! I have tried almost everything on the menu and have always been more than pleased! Always flavorful and authentic! Very reasonably priced as well! Just be careful with the hot salsa, because it is very hot (but also very delicious).

Ive been frequenting this food truck since the very beginning. The quality of both the food and the customer service is outstanding! The owner takes great pride in his business and puts love into everything he serves. My go-to items are the spicy beef burrito and spicy chicken tacos. The homemade horchata is another favorite. J. Zapata recently opened at a second location in the Humboldt Industrial Park. I recommend this food truck to everyone!

One of the best Burrito Ive eaten so far As I drive truck around the U.S. I try foods all over the places based on good ratings. I would put this Mexican Food truck on the same level - food quality wise - as all of those Food trucks out on the West Coast. ( CA, NV,OR,AZ ) I ate a spicy chicken burrito with extra cilantro and onions. Absolutely delicious and the size is XXXXL :) I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food.

This is the Megabus stop for any Pittsburgh -> State College -> New York or the other way around. The trailer is just across the road from the pilot center. I always get the 3 tacos mexicanos. Good meat great taste decent price. Nothing better can be said. The decorations are great, gives the place a nice feel. Definitely picture worthy or whatever the food porn people are calling it now days.

Excellent food to say the least. Its just some dude in a food truck but if you arent familiar with the food truck world dont let the appearance intimidate you... youll be sorry you did. I hate the pilot across the street the parking set up and excess of bus traffic is pure hell but worth suffering thru for the food here.

I am from Texas, it is so nice to get a taste of food to remind me of home. I dont travel on I-80 much, but if I ever can come back through here and can stop I will. The torta is awesome as well as the taco mexicanos. The service was friendly as well as fast. Thanks for a taste of home away from home.

Great food loved it I dont why people complained about the prices dont listen to them for how much food you get the prices are good if you complain about 8 bucks problem is your people are cheap and its not a mobile truck they stay there for good and what I like there open 8 days a week

I love this place . I must say hes doing a excellent service for us truckers/travelers out here... But honestly with the cost of food prices and paying for his staff ...I still think his quality is well worth the extra buck a plate . Put it this way ....it beats gross truck stop food

The worst Mexican food I have ever had. Extremely bland and dry. Even though I ordered my food light on rice it was mostly rice. Save your money and go to the pilot truck stop across the street and get a burrito from the freezer

You can always depend in a good meal. Owner takes pride in every aspect of his food prep. Authentic flavors. Fresh ingredients including the Pico de Gallo and salsas. This is why I make it a must stop when taveling thru the area.

J Zapata is the man!!! The most fresh food on i-80 you would get. Would recommend to everyone especially for truck drivers because is very just across the pilot truck stop, you can park and walk to the small food van.

Bought a torta and a order of 3 tacos My torta was nasty. Bread was like 2 days old. Pico de Gallo wasnt fresh. Lettuce was brown On the order of tacos the tortillas were warm. Not hot like they supposed to be.

Best Mexican food Ive had! I got 3 carne asada tacos and want back for w more my boyfriend got the chicken burrito, its was so good and the biggest burrito Ive ever seen. Defiantly worth the price
