Id been eagerly awaiting he opening of Okinii since they first put up a, "Coming Soon" banner and the wait was well worth it. There are a few options for takeout Asian in the Thorndale area, but the best of those is only 3 stars. Thankfully, weve been graced with a true Asian restaurant that features 5 star meals at a very affordable cost. This may sound like fluff, but I promise you its not. Ive dined a dozen times here and tried a multitude of dishes from the menu, all delicious. While Im chicken and broccoli for life, I also have to very much recommend the chicken yaki udon. Ive never had anything thats tasted quite like that before and I adore it. Its beautifully decorated and the owner is incredibly kind. It is a treat for the residents of Thorndale, and worth the hike for anyone in the area. Honestly, you cannot go wrong.

Really great food as well a wonderful environment. Staff not completely welcoming but man the food is great! Completely worth it. EDIT: I went to Okinii twice in two weeks because I received a meal that was insanely delicious. My Generals Tsos chicken was a bit on the runny side with the sauce and tasted a bit watered down. However, I accidentally ordered a Hibachi Scallops, I did not specify the appetizer though. Thusly I was given the full meal. It was awesome, so awesome, I couldnt stop thinking about it. The following week we ordered again, and the food was subpar, the Hibachi steak and scallops were tasteless, the "fried" dumplings were barely fried. And once again the staff was not very welcoming. This place seems like all the other Asian take outs in the immediate area, hit or miss. Somedays great others eh.

The light is low and the volume near the kitchen was too. The tables and booths were clean and spacious. This made it enjoyable for a first time customer. The wait staff was patient and did not take too long to refill drink. It should be noted that when we ordered our food the restaurant was not too crowded. There are at least two TVs placed in view of the area I sat, showing two different shows. I enjoyed the options. I don’t think the volume was turned up on either TV. The food tasted extremely fresh and was clearly made from quality produce. The bill was to be expected at a fresh seafood place making the bill for each meal around $15 to $19 per plate with tax.

I have been going here to eat since Okinii opened. I usually get the sushi regular or sushi deluxe. The food is very fresh and super delicious. I have never had anything negative to say. I have also tried the hibachi and soba both very yummy. If you have not come here yet you must!!! My favorite restaurant in the area! :) you will definitely be satisfied even the plating is beautiful

A new gem of a restaurant for the Thorndale/Downingtown area. I was having my car fixed near by and just ran across it looking for lunch. I was surprised when I walked in and saw the beautiful decor. I ordered the Bento box with teriyaki salmon. It was delicious. The miso soup was also very good. Plan to go back for dinner. BYOB of course is a plus.

This has become my familys favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing, the restaurant clean, and the staff is so friendly. This is the best sushi place around... presentation is done in such creative ways. The food is fresh. Ive been here at least 15 times since its opened, and will continue to support this local business. Come check it out!

A+++ I travel every month for work, seeking for great restaurants and sharing my experiences. Well, let me tell you, Okinii is certainly in my lifetime top 3 sushi place, if not top1? When you weight in the decor, ambiance, staff, freshness, price and of course the taste, Okinii might just took my breath away. I hope to come back soon!

Some of the best Pad Thai Ive had! Also really love the Yuzu Tuna appetizer. My husband and I have always been satisfied with our meals from Okinii, its our go-to place for sushi and Asian food. Happy that its just around the corner in Thorndale!

The food is terrific and extremely well priced to the quality. Their plating is absolutely beautiful. The facility is very clean and a pleasant atmosphere. Only issue Ive found is the service is slow.

Food was excellent. Had the shrimp tempura roll, orange chicken, pad thai, steak hibachi, and dumpling soup. Byob made for a great night at $60.00 for four. We will come again.
