The restaurant is advertised as Japanese/Chinese, but they also have some Thai selections, which is what we ordered upon going (Thai Style Cashew Chicken and also Mango Shrimp). The atmosphere is simple but elegant. There are a few tables towards the front, then several booths, and the sushi bar in the back. The lighting was a bit dark compared with the brightness of the afternoon, but once my eyes adjusted, it was fine. The menu covers the typical, expected entrees of a Chinese restaurant in America: General Tsos Chicken, Fried Rice, etc. Then, there s the sushi menu, which isnt all of the Japanese cuisine, fortunately. They also serve various Katsu dishes, Udon, and Teriyaki dishes. There are a few Thai dishes as well, including Pad Thai. The Chinese menu selection makes for the largest part of the selection. The food, in my opinion, is the best Asian food that Ive tried in Lancaster county so far. Its a bit more refined than Tony Wangs, and infinitely better than Ichiban (my apologies if you like it, Im definitely not a fan). The shrimp in the Mango Shrimp were much larger than most shrimp I would expect to get in a Chinese restaurant. Both the chicken and the shrimp avoided any hint of a stringy texture, which definitely is not good eats. The plating isnt fancy, but its a bit more elegant than just tossing the food on the plate (and I really do like the square plates they used). I will definitely be back to try out the Japanese and Chinese menus. Pricing is about what I would expect to pay at a Chinese restaurant. The typical dishes like Lo Mein and Sesame Chicken are cheaper, and the other dishes like Pad Thai and Mango Chicken are about $11.50 (if I remember correctly). Thats probably more than you needed to know, but I recommend it. EDIT: I also want to mention that the fried noodles they initially put out on the table are sweetened, unlike most Ive had. I enjoyed them, but its important to know in case youre diabetic. While Im at it, the sauce served with those noodles tasted good, but it was thin, so I kept dripping it on the table.

Ive ordered Delivery four times from Sakura now. Their food is always fantastic, but delivery is bad. I always ask for the soonest time, and they always deliver an hour and a half past that. I ordered tonight, and its an hour and a half later. A girl that works there called me 6 times just now. When I finally picked up, she told me that "You live too far. You live too far. Do you still want me to deliver?" and I said, "There hasnt been a problem before. I only live 8 minutes away. Yes." and she proceeded to argue with me. She finally said a grumpy, "Fine. But you live too far." and hung up. Im still waiting on my order. I always tip well, and I work at a restaurant; I understand that it can get busy, especially on the weekends. But if you have a "delivery option" available on your website, it should be proper, respectful, and somewhat prompt delivery (if delivery is late, you could at least apologize to your customers). Edit: I just received my order. When I handed her the money, she was very rude. She also complained that the tip wasnt good, and waved me away before I could respond. I didnt even have to tip her after service like that, you know? The only reason its 3 stars instead of one is because the food is good, and this is my first experience with Sakura that was this bad. Its a shame.

Weve previously ordered form Sakura and always liked the food, however, today was quite a different experience. Delivery from here tends to take around 45 minutes, and while thats a little long the food is normally worth it. Today an hour after placing an order for delivery we still had no food. I called to ask why and was told it was out for delivery and should be there any minute. Half an hour later the food still hadnt arrived and when I called back I was told they will check with the delivery person and let me know whats going on. Another half hour later and I get a call that they cant find my apartment. By the time we got the food it had been over 2 hours since placing the order and over an hour since it had gone out for delivery. My food was luke warm at best and was significantly worse then all the previous times Ive ordered here. Not sure what has happened in the last few months but Im definitely looking for a new Chinese/Sushi place that delivers in Lancaster.

Great restaurant! Lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices, and AMAZING FOOD! Our waitress was wonderful, she kept our glasses filled and talked us through our first sushi-eating experience (which was fresh and great, though we learned we are not sushi people). The soup was amazing, and the spring rolls were fantastic as well. We also ordered some lo mein and general tsos chicken, and both were by far the best we have ever had. They were also very accommodating of a gluten intolerance that we had and made sure to double-- and even triple-- check with the chef that there was no gluten whatsoever in the meal. $75 for drinks and 5 meals. Overall, a strong 4.5/5. We will definitely be returning for seconds soon!

Love the fact that they had some outside dining available, service was great! We got our food very quickly and the waiter was professional but friendly. My sister got the veggie Udon, which was amazing! Ive never seen noodles that thick and perfectly spiced and seasoned. I got the vegetable maki combo, sweet potato, cucumber and avocado rolls with miso soup. My favorite was the sweet potato. Crispy and dense. My only suggestion that would make the meal itself better would be to put more rice in the rolls to bulk them up a bit more because they were a bit measly. And to include a small salad with this meal. The bathroom in this joint could be cleaned a bit better too. Beware people, beware.

Fantastic food, absolutely impressive menu. A friend whos explored much of Asia in his youth describes the sesame chicken as, the best hes ever had, in and out of China proper. Portions are large and filling, always end up taking some home. Prices are a little steep, especially if you dont eat at lunch-time. A meal for two can run you $40, which seems kind of steep for a Chinese restaurant, authentic or otherwise. Service is kind of hit or miss and the interior of the restaurant itself is pleasant. Parking is a pain, but thats Lancaster. You wont be disappointed.

Sakura is the most wonderful Asian Fusion Food! We go there often...we have never had a bad meal. Service is great! It does have limited seating so reservations are suggested but they always try to quickly accommodate walk-ins. I have read some of the delivery reviews. I personally think they try so hard to please and it has become so well known it is difficult to provide a delivery service. This sometimes happens when the word gets out about the quality of the food... people are finding out it is the best in the area...

be aware great food been there many time but just recently got delivery. waited 1.75 hours turns out they will deliver anywhere. so it can take for every. I will not rate them a 1 as I almost did because I was so posed off. but for crying out loud it took so long my food was cold... management should really know better. I also only live 2.5 miles from the restaurant so I could have walked there and back in that time.
