This place was apparently good three years ago. I got a package deal that included a roll that was tiny by grocery store sushi standards, a salad that consisted of iceberg lettuce and a few carrot straws, bland yakisoba(why ramen noodles are being sold outside of 7 Eleven is beyond me), bland chicken teriyaki, and the worst rendition of dishwater soup that I have ever come across in a sushi bar. All of this for just $31.00! Now my wife feels sick from eating it. I already hated Norfolk, now I hate Sake 2 Sushi as well. Avoid like the plague if you have any experience with sushi...Pathetic.

Good flavored food, but the rolls easily fell apart and was given the wrong roll for a carry out order. When I called to inform the staff, I got an argument, instead of an apology, or an offer to make their $12.95 mistake right. I thanked the chef and let him know that we would not be returning. What happened to the customer always being right? There is a sushi restaurant on just about every corner. Save your money for one who cares enough to keep their patrons happy.

If youre a fan of room temperature sushi and warm salads with warmer ginger dressing. Then Id definitely recommend this place to you. Oh addionally their crunchy stale gyoza is to die for. Unfortunately, Im not one of those people who like any of what I just mentioned about this place. So I will be staying away from Sake Sushi. Lucky for them idk how to post pictures on this review. Unlucky for those who are reading this and cant see the disgusting food I just ate.

Really not worth the cost, ordered lunch box with a volcano roll and it only had 4 pieces. Called and the broken English speaking women said a Volcano roll for lunch is only 1/2 roll but the menu indicates that it is a full roll and then wanted to argue with me. Soup was watery tasting and the salad came with insufficient amount of dressing . On the only good side was that the Gyosas were good tasting.

Ive had sushi from restaurants all over HR and beyond, and I have nothing bad to say about Sake. The food was delicious; the service was quick and the waitresses were very friendly; their prices were reasonable; and even the bathroom was very clean. In addition, the restaurant is decorated and put together very nicely, including the bathrooms.

I get sushi a LOT and have tried out several different sushi restaurants in VB/Norfolk area. Id say this is in my top 3. The place was packed and we still got our food quickly. The Volcano Roll was great. And you cant beat the price for the lunch box. I definitely recommend to anyone who loves sushi!

I have been here a few time before but the quality of the food has really gone down. The miso soup was watered down. The shrimp tempura was not rolled well and loaded with a lettuce. I wanted a nice tasty lunch and this was not it. I spent $20 for lunch and feel as if I wasted my money.

Food was good, had 2 regular tolls and 1 special roll between two people, but the rolls were very small. For $25 I expect more. I can go elsewhere and get big rolls for the same price. Even the rice casings were thin. Come on, the cheapest ingredient, and they skimp on that?

Food was great and fresh; service was awesome...quick and professional; atmosphere very peaceful and unassuming! Im visiting from California and was taking a chance on finding good Japanese food in Norfolk. I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this place.

I absolutely adore and highly recommend this sushi restaurant. The food is always mouthwatering, the staff treats you like your family, and the service is outstanding. I dont go anywhere else since I was convinced to try this out. Try it out! You wont be dissapointed.

We are frequent flyers here. This is one of the best sushi restaurants weve been too and we have travelled all over the country. Always have good customer service and my drink doesnt even hit half before they fill it. Awesome place highly recommended

Great place for fast service. The staff are friendly and quick. My wife and I go every time we crave sushi. Pretty cheap and you get a pretty large roll. If you order 3 special rolls you get a free volcano roll.

Excellent food and excellent prices! Their lunch box comes with soup, 2 rolls of your choice, rice, and salad for only 6.95. I would highly recommend the Volcano roll and the Shrimp tempura roll :)

Good Sushi in the Hampton roads area is hard to come by... either you get rolls which are 90% rice or just not great quality. We decided to try this place today for lunch and werent disappointed.

We ordered take-out and the service was good. The woman behind the desk was helpful when selecting a meal good for the whole family. The sushi is of average quality. Good but not spectacular.

Had a lunchbox for $6.95....soup, salad, 1/2 special roll and 3 pieces sushi. Food was delicious, service excellent, and FAST!! I dont think we waited 10 minutes for our food!!

Dont get the udon soup. No flavor. But the sashimi is pretty solid. Nice thick slices. Salmon is the best sashimi at this particular restaurant.
