If I could give no stars, I would!!! I order through OrderUp and have had CONSISTENT problems with quality and quantity control. Even when I call to have them check food before the food was delivered...it was like they made the food disgusting on purpose. I dine in FREQUENTLY and know how this food should be, this location SUCKS and the person who answers their phones is rude and the most unhelpful person EVER. GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION, YOU WILL GET MUCH BETTER FOOD AND SERVICE!!!!! Update: I was asked to return the food and was refused a refund to the point that the manager LITERALLY SCREAMED IN MY FACE AND THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE!!!!!!! I did everything I was asked to do and was offered not even a partial refund as some food had been eaten before I could wrap it back up to return. These people dont know good sushi, dont know good business, and dont know plain manners!!! I left shaking and crying, so much so I had to sit in my car for ten minutes to allow myself to calm down enough to drive.

Did not like the off tasting soup w/ slimy grass taste. Did not like the Calif rolls with the rubbery green stuff. Did not like the choice of sauces -- only eel. Did not appreciate being served raw beef when I had asked if it was cooked. They took it back to cook it and left one raw piece floating in the sauce. The portions were tiny. 1/4 cup of meat at the most did not even 1/2 cover its section of the bento box. The rice was in the smallest, littlest section, 1/4 cup or less. A small piece of orange was in a larger section. It was obvious that I found the food distasteful, yet I had to pay $8.80 for 1/2 cup of food and left the restaurant hungry! Cheap staff should not have made me pay for such a disgusting meal. The friend who insisted that there was non-seafood there was dead wrong. All had a fishy taste and left a bad taste in my mouth.

I tried this place mostly because its in walking distance from my hotel, and by the time Id gotten to the hotel the last thing I wanted to do was get back in the car. We enjoyed it immensely. The prices were about what Im used to seeing at sushi restaurants at home in NH. But when the order arrived, Wow. I ordered the sashimi deluxe assortment, and I think I got at least 50% more fish than I would have for the same money in NH. Definitely worth a return visit. It would have been nice if the menu included descriptions of some of the standard rolls. An Alaska roll, for example, is not the same everywhere. Some places its raw salmon and avocado. Others its smoked or cooked salmon. That lack of detail steered me away from ordering rolls, and toward the sashimi.

My wife and I got a coupon to this place and live nearby, so we decided to check it out. First off, the place was empty - not a great sign. We were pleasantly surprised though - the fresh cucumber salad we each got was delicious, and my wifes glass of wine was filled nice and full. We got the chefs choice sushi dinner with a spicy tuna roll, plus a tornado roll. The rolls were great, but the sushi was just fantastic. Ive never had such high-quality cuts of meat at a small strip mall type sushi place. It looked great and literally melted in your mouth. We will be returning.

I DECIDED TO CHECK OUT SAKURA JUST BECAUSE IT IS CLOSE TO HOME. IM GLAD I DID. IT IS NOT ONLY CONVENIENT TO THE AREAS NEAR LAKE WRIGHT AND LYNNHAVEN INLET, BUT TO THE AREAS NEAR LITTLE CREEK AMPHIB BASE. AND THE SUSHI IS VERY FRESH. THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE, AND THEY HAVE ROLLS I HAVENT SEEN ELSEWHERE. IVE BEEN BACK THREE TIMES IN THREE DAYS! TRY THE SPICY GIRL AND TORNADO ROLLS IF YOU LIKE SUSHI WITH A KICK.

Not good. I had a to-go order and the teriyaki chicken was just extremely dry chicken thrown in a SOUP of teriyaki sauce. The avocado in the California rolls was BROWN. I took one bite of each and couldnt eat anymore. Waste of $11. I politely called and requested my money back and the man on the phone was rude and refused. DONT GO THERE!

Came here to grab a quick lunch. My companion and I both had a seafood noodle dish. YUM-O! The seafood pieces were generous chunks of meat, delicately seasoned, and the noodle flavor was just right. Wish I had eaten here sooner. Ill see what else they have next time Im in the area visiting.

Not much to like. Had lunch at 3ish. Only person in the establishment. Placed my order (much of which I ordered was unavailable... Because they just ran out) and the sushi chef stood behind the bar on his phone, like I wasnt even there. I will not recommended or return.

Im sorry. Im usually not picky or the type of person to write a review, but VA Beach has some good sushi.. And this place was terrible and expensive! It did not even taste like sushi. Opposite of fresh. And at the end when I saw the bill. Damn. People seemed nice though.

Good Service (not great). Ive dined in and called for take-out. Always fast, fresh, and good food. The sushi is really good and the steak teriyaki is a go to for me. Definitely worth a try.
