Since we moved to Bensalem we have not found a better sushi restaurant. The service is very friendly, the food is wonderful and the prices are great. We love going to the sushi bar, and the staff make us feel very welcome. The chef is very friendly, and will even make suggestions on what to get based on previous purchases or what we "feel" like that day. Its wonderful when you may have only tried one or two things and they make something special just for you that is not on the menu. We have taken family from Virginia and Ohio with us to this restaurant and were told it beats anything they have at home. The food is fresh, tasty and well worth the trip. The prices are unbelievable. My wife and I can eat for 20 dollars and that includes getting lobster, shrimp and crab rolls. If you want to try a new place you cannot go wrong with Shogun. Go sit at the sushi bar, chat with the chef and be ready to get a great meal at a terrific price.

So my boyfriend brought me to this amazing place in the city on Sunday for mothers day. It was so much fun. The wait wasnt long and we had drinks at the bar, and boy was my margarita strong. Then we were seated and ordered appetizers. My boyfriend talked me into trying warm sake (Japanese drink) and it wasnt that bad at all. I think if it wasnt warm it would be too strong of a taste, but you can get it warm or cold. Oh and they had the cutest little Japanese shot glasses with it.That got me a little tipsy too. The chef cooks the food right in front of you. These man had amazing moves and was hilarious. I dont think he even spoke English but he did amazing funny things while he was cooking. He even was able to toss shrimp into your mouth and only missed once out of like ten people! The food was delicious. I always say i like Thai food the best out of Asian dishes but this place may have changed my mind.

For starters, ill say that ive had a lot of Japanese in my time, and this isnt bad. I would honestly say that at full price however, I would most likely go elsewhere. But there is nothing wrong with Shoguns dishes, the ingredients are nice quality, well presented, and their flavors are nice. They mostly stick to the general standard Japanese menu, thus if youre looking for something inventive or creative, this may not be what youre looking for... yet. Ive heard the restaurant is relatively new so itll be nice to see how they develop along with time. Perhaps in time, theyll bring something new to their menus. I cannot comment on the hibachi side but the decor on the dining side is very nice. The lighting is good, and the room divider is neat, along with the bottles in the bamboo at the front. Overall on monday/tuesday, this is an outstanding way to spend your money, you wont be disappointed.

My fiance and I recently moved to the area and we love sushi and hibachi. We were recommended by a friend to try out this place. Since it is located in a shopping center we didnt quite know what to expect. Once you step in the door you feel like you are in Asia because of the decor. We have sat numerous times to have sushi and a few times to do hibachi. The service is great, the food is excellent!, and the atmosphere makes it that much better. You cant beat the price for half off sushi ALL the time. We were feeling a bit guilty that we didnt try Sakura after reading good ratings about it but once we tried it those guitly feelings went away. We had terrible service, the food was ice cold as if it was premade, and there was not a huge selection for sushi. It is safe to say that Shogun is our home for sushi and hibachi.

My fiance loves the sushi here, we would go here at least once a week...I would get the Chicken Teriyaki and she the sushi rolls, spicy Tuna, Tuna and avocado. We were always treated well by the waiters especially the young ladies. Lately the service has suffered considerably, there is a rude male waiter who is disrespectful and unapologetic about his attitude. He constantly gets our orders wrong and acts like he doesnt care, almost to the point of arrogance. A young lady asked for steamed vegetables for her one year old daughter and he flat out told her no. It wasnt on the menu and they dont take special orders. She even told him that she ordered it before with no problem and he still said no. The food is good but not that good to deal with disrespectful waiters. Ill be taking my business somewhere else. .

Usually a big fan of Shogun. I used to go at least twice a week. The sushi is always fresh and always tasty. However, Ive noticed lately that their service is getting worse and worse. I tried a new roll a couple weeks ago, ate two pieces and didnt like it. Immediately called the manager over to see if I could have it exchanged. He refused to give me something else because "too much was already eaten". Therefore I was forced to pay $11.00 for a roll I didnt want. The waiters are getting more and more rude. No greeting.. the one waiter snatches the menus away before you can even finish ordering. I think that Shogun has gotten so popular and crowded, that they stopped caring about their customers. Next time Ill try Sakura across the street instead.

I have never walked out of a restaurant in my entire life but did so tonight at this place. First off, the entire place was not air conditioned and was 90 degrees inside. This was even before the hibachi started. Secondly, we waited 10 minutes to get seated, another 15 just to get a drink. We waited another 15 minutes to order but decided to leave due to the heat/terrible service. I cant speak for the food because we were never served any, but the terrible service alone was enough to keep us away. It wasnt even that busy if a night, with plenty of open tables. We tried to flag down a server twice and were ignored.

I had an excellent dinner with my family here. The chef at the hibachi grill was funny and more than entertaining, after he served our dinner he was cooking at the next grill over and I noticed he changed his "routine" to suit the elderly people seated there. My daughter ordered sashimi. We have had sushi & sashimi at some of the finer restaurants in NYC and the fish was of equal quality and freshness of any restaurant there. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Dont let the location put you off..a .strip-mall. The interior was classic, clean and beautifully laid-out... 5 stars in my book

Its been our favorite sushi place since 2010. Sushi are always fresh and tasty. They have added some new stuff like summer salad and couple of new rolls which are amazing. And if you have any issues with a waiter (which happens sometimes because English is not their native language), you can always refer this to the manager, Evan. He is the greatest guy ever and will help you out right away. Very nice place, especially after renovation had been done recently. It is crowded on Fridays and Saturdays evening though... Other than that, perfect place to enjoy your favorite sushi!
