Horrible Food, IDK where they got a 30 Zagat Rating but it must have been different staff or someone did some bribing. The Sushi was horrible, I got a YellowTail Roll And 2 peices of White Tuna Sushi (they charge 2.50 PER PIECE). Its so poorly prepared, all of the sushi fell apart, I dont use soy sauce on my rolls, and every single piece just dumped its guts when i picked it up. The flaw with the roll is the nori (toasted Seaweed) wasnt stuck back to itself like it is supposed to be. Also the Sushi (fish over a ball of rice) was more like a thick chunk just laid next to a very oddly long and slender cylinder of rice. You are supposed to be able to eat the whole piece fish and rice in one bite. And youre supposed to be able to flip it over and dip the FISH ONLY into the soy sauce, HAHA never would have worked so i was forced to use my horribly aged ginger as a brush. Also the miso soup was oddly sweet, it is supposed to be a bit salty. Bottom Line I wouldnt feed this food to my dog because i fear it would make him sick. Oh and the Staff is very pushy, When i say i dont want a refill it means I DO NOT WANT A REFILL. But she asked are you sure to punctuate every sentence I uttered. Thumbs Down

The worst shrimp tempura I ever had, overcooked and hard shrimp tempura and I specifically ordered and asked for a fresh hot and crispy shrimp tempura in the role. The sushi was very good and they give you very large portions. The all-you-can-eat should be called a starter meal because its $30.00 and they upcharge $3 for every special role and it doesnt come with any appetizers. Also worth noting that the staff is very Stern and unfriendly and they continued to stress that they will upcharge for everything. Three or four different staff members told me I only had 2 hours and I had to finish everything or be charged extra. I eat sushi around 4 times a month and I always get a salad, an appetizer, and a few pieces of sushi and two special rolls.

Food is good. Staff and service are very uneven. Vestibule is very small, so wait lines can snake out the door. We avoid altogether on Fridays, crowds are too large. Several very disappointing dining experiences. Once server overlooked my order. Everyone else (4 others) received their entries. After flagging the server down twice to find out what happened he simply disappeared. They didnt charge for the missing entree, but that was little consolation after having to sit for 90 minutes and watch the rest of my table eat. On another visit a busboy splattered 3 members of our party with appetizers cleared from one of the tables. Again no apologizes. Waits for tables and food can be very long.

Winner! We went to Nagoya for my birthday with our toddler in tow and it was the perfect spot for us. The food was quick and delicious. We ordered edamame, agedashi tofu, chicken yakitori, veggie gyoza, sashimi starter plate and a tempura shrimp soba soup. We probably over ordered because we were super full at the end but it was a hit for all of us. In particular our toddler who ate lots of the rice, chicken yakatori and my soba noodle soup. We will definitely be coming back!

Visiting parents here in Westfield and for the first time got to eat somewhere other than the diner!! My husband and I love sushi and we both agreed this was probably the best we have ever had. Place was packed and we sat at the suishi bar and watched 4 chefs making sushi nonstop. We learned you need to go next door for alcohol ..its byob.. Actually think we will go there again tonight!

The food is good. However, I had a horrible experience there. I went to have a nice and peaceful dinner but after a few minutes a man started to yell like a psycho in the tiki because he was watching a game. His yelling was so bad that the waitress nervously kept looking at me, the only customer in the first floor, and upstairs. The staff did not do anything.

Dont care what anyone says about the decor, it has a nice ambiance. It is run by the nicest family ! The sushi is to dye for, just knowing that it is picked up fresh every day not just once but several times aday. Some of the specialty rolls are named after several of there frequent customers. Only expect the best when eating hete!

Been coming here almost every week, if not month, for about 10 years. Ive tried other sushi resturantes and Nagoya always wins. The generous servings are so fresh and delicious. My family has been friends with the owners/staff as long as we started eating there and they are so friendly. You will not be disappointed!

Always very fresh fish and great atmosphere. Great family-owned restaurant run by folks that really care about their restaurant. Ive tried most other sushi restaurants in the area (including the other four or so in Westfield) and the only one worth going to is Nagoya.

Always thought I knew some good places for sushi, until I was brought here. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!! Have been here many, many times now and am always satisfied and have never once been disappointed. One of those places that once you try it, your hooked!!

Sushi was so fresh and delicious. Service was friendly, and everyone else loved what they got too (shrimp teriyaki, sashimi, etc). An outstanding restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. We just went there on a whim, and cant wait to go back.

Best sushi Ive had in NJ by far. The place is run by one big family who gets their ingredients fresh from the NYC market every day. Dont let the unappealing location or decor fool you. This sushi will knock your socks off.

As described by others, the sushi is top-notch. Some of the best Ive ever had. An unsexy location in a strip-mall, and the decor is utilitarian. But who cares? When the sushi is this good, you really dont mind.

Best sushi place around. The sushi is always fresh. You come up with your item sushi rolls, so you can always go beyond the menu. I highly recommend trying this place out. I personally dont go anywhere else.

Great sushi and appetizers, OK udon, attentive and quick service. The place is popular and usually crowded. That means a few delays here and there, but also guarantees that everything is super fresh.

very good sushi place. the sushi is always fresh and doesnt smell very fishy like some places do. the employees there are very friendly and willingly let you try out new stuff to see if you like it.

The best sushi in the area, in my opinion. Always fresh and always good. Service is good. Take out is good also. Only negative is they dont deliver to my town. But worth the trip to pick up.

If you call in advance and they give you the time for pickup show up 10 minutes later. The food is good but they arent great with staying on time so come a little late so you dont have to wait.
