Delicious, fresh and tender sushi! Service and wait is usually quite good (the chefs at the bar are friendly) but sometimes other staff can be a little brusque. Its not cheap but its worth every penny. Some of the special rolls are really great -- the Fire Dragon spicy eel roll is awesome. This coming from someone who almost exclusively enjoys sashimi and nigiri-zushi! I cant recommend the California Uni though since it is $25 for two pieces, and very very fancy -- it includes the whole urchin. I asked for Uni and the chef suggested it, but I didnt realize that it was so special (and expensive.) It was still only two pieces of uni, which were admittedly very tasty but I just wanted one small final piece of sushi. This experience made me have second thoughts about coming back, but I am coming back because the food is really good. :) With careful ordering it wont break the bank, most items are reasonably priced for good quality sushi.

A friend told me to forget about finding good sushi in Princeton, but I kept wondering about this nice-looking place as I passed it, so finally tried it. Overall it is not bad but not as great as it looks. I got the chirashi lunch for $15, I get a choice of soup OR salad, you get charged $2 for the tea, the fish portions are not large or particularly fine, though there was some fancy semi-grilling going on with some of them. The octopus was interesting (smaller suckers than usual) but a bit fishier than youd expect from fresh. The miso soup was served in a western bowl so you *had* to eat it with a spoon! and bland. All in all not a place to avoid, but whatever great Japanese place you were missing when you decided to come in, you miss it even more when you leave. Maybe a good place to take your parents if they have never had Japanese food and you want to impress them with how cosmopolitan youve become.

If youre looking for some great sushi in downtown Princeton, this is your place. Easy parking in various lots, a cool interior design, and the best menu in town. Outstanding gyoza and tempura, too!!
