Vegetarians Beware! We had a horrible experience! There was a huge line when we arrived so we did some errands and came back. We still had to wait 20 minutes for a party of 3. Looking over the menu we saw it was endless enchilladas Monday with 2 options without meat. Not thinking to ask if there was meat in the sauce our order arrived with chicken in it. Our waitress proceeded to lecture us that none of the enchilladas were vegetarian not mentioning that she had gotten the order wrong to begin with. On top of this our other 2 orders looked nothing like the pictures. The bowls had almost no lettuce only 2 small slices of avocado and only filled 1/2 the bowl. Meanwhile a manager remedied the enchilladas situation by going to the kitchen and cooking the 2 enchilladas himself. We were satisfied and our waitress put in another order for 2 more, after a bit of hesitation on our part. She proceeds to bring out the order with the chef, and again it has a meat sauce visibly all over it. Not seaming to care about our table, apologize, or once ask us if we were ok. Her manager saved any semblance of a tip by taking it off the bill. We will not be going back. Vegetarians avoid this place like the plague!

My family and I go here anytime we have the extra cash to treat ourselves and tip our server properly. Weve always had delicious food and fast service. They have a wonderful waitstaff. Ive been working in the food and beverage industry for many years and I really appreciate On The Border. They do not over charge their food..its very reasonably priced for todays standards. They our very attentive to your needs as well. As to a previous comment, if your boyfriends a vegetarian, maybe you should stay home and cook your own meals! And to "Hogs in a trough"..sounds like you had GREAT service. She talked to you at eye level and everything! If you want to relax, can I suggest to you maybe a library?! Dont hold up the servers table. Last thing, Ive been to real authentic Mexican restaurants before and guess what...EVERYTHING IS SPICEY! So as far as your "complimentary" salsa...yes it is a bit spicey but you have other options to order to go along with your complimentary chips! :) I LOVE OTB!

I went here recently for the first time in months. I had sworn never to go back there because last time I was there I got food poisoning (seriously, just dont go there for food, especially dont get the guacamole) but a friend of mine suggested we go for drinks. We sat out on the patio my friends got watermelon margaritas and I got a peach ice tea (which wasnt awful but not that great and costs more than its worth). My friend gave me a sip of her margarita and a manager came out and told us that the margarita cant be in front of me (mind you I am 21). The rest of our time there we noticed the moor to the patio open slightly and waitresses and the manager would keep peeking out to make sure I didnt have another sip of this margarita. Little hard to enjoy your time when you feel like someone is spying on your every action.

Do you like your food prepared with fresh ingredients hot off the grill? Do you like unique menu options? If so, continue your search for Mexican food elsewhere. If you like a typical, uninspired menu and food that is hot out of the microwave, then On The Border is for you! Dont believe me? Ask for a seat in the middle of the restaurant where your can see into the kitchen as they prepare your meal and pop it in the microwave to heat it up. From what Ive seen, only the fajitas are actually grilled, so thats one of the only things that doesnt taste like a Mexican TV dinner. On the plus side, the chips and salsa are pretty decent and the mojitos are really good. That garners a two star review.

My fiancé and I attempted to sit outside at OTB for my birthday today. He went inside to ask for a table outside while I held on to his service dog outside. The host came outside looked at his service dog and said no dogs. She was Spanish and didnt seem to understand what a service dog was. My fiancé is a Veteran having served in the Marines. I am in complete and utter disbelief at how we were treated at this restaurant because he has a service dog. I work in an upscale restaurant and something like this would NEVER happen. We were embarrassed and shocked that we were turned away. Its disappointing a restaurant we once loved cant support our countries Veterans and instead turns them away.

Jennifer You should be able to relax when you go out to eat - as in, sit back, have conversation - not have the meal rushed. Also, thats so insulting to tell a vegetarian to stay home and cook their own food. Any good restaurant today will offer a nice vegetarian selection - and I would suggest even Vegan (If not be willing to prepare food vegan). They simply stated they had a very limited vegetarian selection. Everyones entitled to their own opinion and their experience was their own. Just because you enjoy the food and have great service, doesnt mean everyone does. Do you have a relationship with this particular restaurant? It seems it may be so as you are very defensive here.

If you give this place a 4 or 5 star, you dont know what Mexican food is. It should be a 2-3 star place. This food tastes overly processed, I think jail food is better. I ordered the enchilada Suiza and my partner ordered tacos. Everything is very high in sodium. The waitress was very rude. We couldnt sit where we wanted to despite half the restaurant empty. She sat us at the high table then requested to move to a booth. Food sucks. Food wasnt even appealing to me or my partner. $30 for high salty poor quality food. Will defiantly not come again. I shouldve went to Fiesta Ole or chipotle. First time and my last time. Only come if its your last resort.

Visited twice in the past year. Food at both experiences was alright, pretty standard quality for a chain. We were not entirely impressed overall the first round, so we only went the second time because our favorite restaurant relocated and wanted something close by. Service the second visit was quite off-putting. Our hostess was fantastic, as was the busing staff, but our actual waitress had an attitude from the start. Maybe it was caused by the table near to us of 6, asking for separate checks at the end of their meal, or maybe not. Either way, the 20 minute wait for boxes and the check was a little daunting for a non busy week night dining room.

We used to love this restaurant. It was the perfect spot to catch something to eat after or before a flight, but something happened the last 2 visits this year. It was our second time visiting the restaurant and it was filthy. Dirty tables which take an unusually long time to clear, the floor littered with chips, and dirty utensils. The quality of the food has also gone downhill. I would liken it to over-salty microwaved dinners you can buy at a grocery store. Admittedly, I work in the food business, and know what to look for. I blame management and poor training. Probably wont be going back for at least a year to see if anything changed...
