My husband and I went to the Milford Mama Marias Restaurant a week ago for lunch. The decor at this new location is very clean, beautiful, bright and welcoming. Although it took us about 15 minutes to decide on our food selections, the server, Carla, was very considerate of us needing more time to make a decision. When we finally placed our order, Carla returned a few minutes later to give us some unfortunate news. Something was wrong with the gas line meaning they would not be able to prepare hot cooked foods which included what we ordered (shrimp alfredo, a cheesesteak sub and chicken wings). The good news was they could still make cold sandwiches, cold subs, salads, etc. I then asked about pizza. Since they had some slices already available, Carla said if I wanted, they could reheat those slices in the oven as it was still hot enough. I chose two slices of pizza and they were hot and delicious!!! My husband decided on an Italian Cold Cut sub which was also delicious. While we were eating, there were at least three or four other couples who came in for lunch, but then shortly after Carla explained about the gas line problem and the limited menu options, each of them got up and left the establishment. We felt really bad for the owner as this situation really put a damper on his business that afternoon. As we were getting ready to leave, the owner approached us and thanked us for our patronage and he sincerely apologized for the unfortunate gas line problem. We told him there was no need to apologize and that we were fine and the food we had was very good. We then thanked the owner and Carla because they treated us with kindness and consideration and the food we had was very good so all is well! My husband and I will definitely be back again and will be bringing our family and friends with us in the near future. We highly recommend Mama Marias in Milford!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My husband and I went to Mama Marias on 3/30/13 for lunch. The server picked up our empty glasses from the table to get us refills and scoped our dirty glasses in the ice bin. When we explained we just wanted our check, she could not understand what she did that was wrong. We tried to explain that our glasses were dirty and she kept saying "but the ice is clean". I am scared to know how many peoples dirty cups were scoped in there before us! When the manager, Sal, came to the table we explained and he said he would take care of it; but they continued to serve other patrons out of the same ice bin. Our food had not come yet and we just wanted to leave. The cook then brought the food to the table and Sal informed us he was charging us even we dont eat the food because "food costs money." So we paid $52.80 for a meal we did not eat.

I am quite the expert when it comes to pizza. Mama Marias is simply the best pizza in Delaware, hands down. Of course their traditional NY style is excellent, but their Sicilian is the best Ive ever had. Period. It even surpasses my late uncles, so thats quite an achievement. The rest of their menu is equally good, though honestly I rarely get past the pizza. They dont deliver, but eat in or take out...you wont regret it!

The pizza is NY Style, absolutely delicious when eaten on-site. Take it home in the box and it suffers so eat there. The green beans in marinara sauce is authentic and fabulous. Enjoy the show of watching John spin the pizza dough high above his head, and he is one funny guy. The prices are surprisingly low for food this good.

Their food is way over priced and its not even good. The manager sal thinks hes a tough guy italian and believes you should be greatful to give him business. There 2 for 20 special is garbage. And their staff do not listen. Need is say more? If your planning for a night out i would NEVER recommend this place.

The food was very good. My server was very pleasant she was a very very nice lady. I wasnt feeling good and I was kind of craving unusual things and she did her best to accommodate. I will definitely be back particularly when Im not sick and I can enjoy the food even better.

Visiting from Pittsburgh Pa. This place has some really good fresh food. The salads are cold and crisp. I had the veal Parm. Awesome! The service was fast and with a smile. Made my last dinner here a true delight.
