The place is located in a strip mall behind the McDonalds on the corner of Kuebler and South Commercial. A polite young man took our order and within a few minutes brought out what both my wife and I believe to me the best egg flower soup weve ever eaten. The soup was chock full of many vegetables and flavors, so good that in addition to our meals we ordered a large container to go for about $5. One entree we selected was the Kee Mao Noodles with chicken, a dish featuring "wide" stir-fried rice noodles with bamboo shoots, bell peppers, tomatoes, onion and basil. The combination of sweet basil and some spicy pepper is terrific. For our other entree we chose the Lanxang Beef, a stir-fry that is served over white rice, containing white onion, green onion, tomatoes, and green beans in a sauce. Of the two choices, this was our favorite. Altogether, this was a terrific lunch. We also received a punch card that after filling 12 spots results in a free entree.

Pad Thai is always a hit or miss... This place was the best Ive ever had for a version of pad Thai. Lots of sauce, not too spicy, in fact, the 3 star (medium) wasnt hot enough. They had ample amounts of condiments. And the serving size was definitely a FAMILY SIZE! My husband and I ordered a Pad Thai each and we went home with more than one entree size combined in left overs! Plenty of chicken too! Food is decently low priced! $9.95 an entree! Thai Chai Tea was tasty and only $2. They even gave us a punch card. If we ever swing through Oregon again, well stop by!

Ive been coming to this place on and off for about 5 years and it has dropped in quality over the past year. The last meal I ordered take out, pad thai chicken, and my gf got the drunken noodle. The pad thai was mediocre (it was an off flavor of the pad thai spices I am used to and the noodles were meh) and no one in my family would finish the drunken noodle, the noodles were soggy and the it just wasnt good. I really want to like this place again and will come back eventually to give it another go. My better memories of this place keep this at a 3, for now.

I love the food here, especially the red curry (w/ chicken). My kids and hubby always stick with the pad thai and fresh spring rolls with shrimp or tofu, which are also good. They can get a little swamped with a light staff from time to time, and the atmosphere is just so-so, as most Asian places tend to be, but Ive tried almost every Thai place in Salem and Keizer, and Lanxang is consistently the best. (Hate the parking lot in that tiny strip mall, but Im willing to brave it for them.) I get take-out from them more often than we eat in there.

Bland food, inadequate flourescent lighting, and a blaring television make for a horrible combination. Combine that with the fact that its next door to a McDonalds and a few other repulsive places with a nightmare of a design for the parking lot, and the fact that they seem to think Vietnam, Thailand and Laos are all the same country and you dont have a great recipe for success. The portions are huge, but Im pretty sure they used Campbells Chicken Soup as an ingredient in one of these dishes. Yikes!

I went here not expecting much. The atmosphere was very cold and bland. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. There werent many customers, so I dont know what the service would be like when it is busy. We had great service though. The food was just fantastic. FAR exceeding my expectations. Ill be going back. Great food and good service. If they could just upgrade their decor and make the place warmer and more inviting - theyd have a real winner!

Meh. I cant get excited about a place that cuts lemon grass into little clipped fingernail shaped shards, and expects you to eat it. In the Larb dishes, the lemongrass should be in 2 to 3 inch chunks, for flavor only. Its not edible, and it actually feels like eating a bowl of fingernails. Curries are bland, and often they have one person working who is both greeter, and cook. Ill stick to Sweet Home Thai in Keizer.

Never fails to delight. Our fav go to is the Salad roll chocked full of goodness with plump shrimp in each end. I cannot get enough of all of their dips ie peanut, sweet and tangy. We order shrimp Pad Thai with extra egg and Chicken sauté. We always have enough for two more meals at home. Wait staff is good, but you do not go for the ambiance. They really NEED to warm the place up with decorations.

Wonderful place. Tacky colors on the wall, traditional music, and some interesting choices for the adventurous. This is by far the best Thai food Ive found around. I come from Monmouth any time I get a craving for Thai because nowhere else comes close. Ive had a few great experiences here. Just be patient and realize people are actually making your food, not just deep-frying chicken fingers.

I simply love everything about this place :) Friendly staff, a nice environment an Most importantly, amazing food. You cant go wrong with their Pad Thai, but every dish they have is tasty and the price is very good. We go at least once a week. We have been coming to this place since we moved to Salem 1 year ago and we just love it!

Originally from Hawaii not sure if Im being too harsh of a judge because the Thai food Im usually used to is very authentic. It wasnt the best Thai food ever but it wasnt bad either... Service was a bit stretched and the decor inside was a little harsh :-)... Pad Thai was good, Red Curry was really good. Sticky rice was ok.

The food was delicious, which is what matters most to me. I have only dined in (no take-outs) and the service has always been quick. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are decently sized as well. The interior design is very minimal and could definitely be improved. I would recommend this place to others.

I am at a loss at why all the good reviews!! Lanxang is forgettable IMO. The food is mediocre at higher-than-average prices, as compared to other Thai restaurants in Salem. Thai Beer has lower prices and better quality. Thai Orchids has better food. Lanxangs ambiance is worse than the other two. I wont come back.

I had the mango fried rice with tofu, the pho with no meat, and the mango sweet sticky rice. Everything was excellent and tasted fresh. The mango fried rice was especially good. I highly recommend this place. Its a small, neatly tucked away restaurant with excellent food. The only downside is the parking lot.

Great food. You get a lot for your money. The pad thai was amazing. The waiter sat in a booth and watched tv the whole time we were in there and the atmosphere is cold and weird for a thaI restraunt. But if that doesnt bother you I say go for it. Try their thai tea its great and definitely a great treat.

Love the fresh spring rolls! Love the service from a young man who is a longtime employee. Fresh food, great quality, always available when I want to order and the bill is accompanied with Asian pieces of candy! There is a child scale measure on the menu to choose from, just order point and smile!
