Always exceptional, we have been frequenting La Margarita for decades. While it has been for special occasions at times, the mesquite grilled food is absolutely delicious. This time we had fajitas for two. Lets just say that we made sure to have a "leftover" handmade tortilla to mop up the skillet. The Lewin is always a good pick, but my personal favorite is the molecate. Always look at the specials coming through the door. Wait staff are always friendly.

These people first off charged me 2.00 more that what they were advertising. I notified them of this and they still charged me the larger amount. Also I went there with a few ladies and we asked for extra plates to eat and I was charged .75 per plate used. They did not disclose this and I didnt even get to keep the plate. With this economy, this was crazy. Plus the chicken on my pizza, very dry. This is the worst restuarant that I have been to!

Food wasnt good, both of our orders were wrong and very expensive I spent $12.50 for 2 tacos a little rice and a little beans my boyfriend spent $13.00 on 2 small enchiladas a little rice and a little beans that he said were gross and plain my boyfriend got a small $9.00 Long Island iced tea that he said was nasty (note he never says his drinks are nasty). Save your money and go to a food truck this place isnt worth it

Ate here based on the reviews. For full disclosure my wife enjoys it. I didnt. I had the fajitas and the steak was overcooked as to not be steak so much as a meat filler. The dish was covered in a sauce that overpowered the flavors of any of the ingredients. The salsa was good and the service was friendly. The food was just not the kind I typically enjoy for fajitas where its fresher and the steak is properly cooked.

For lunch, their quality, quantity, tastiness, speed, and price are all amazing. Both dine-in and carry-out have been excellent experiences. Great authentic mexican food at affordable prices, and Ive always had nice experiences with their service. My personal menu favorite is the burrito norteno, but Im also a big fan of the original burrito and quesadilla. Im so thankful Salem has La Margarita as a lunch option!

I cant remember what "style" of Mexican food La Margarita purports to be, but it is my favorite in town. The meats used for filling tacos, burritos and enchiladas is smokey and delicious, as are the sauces you wouldnt normally find at a Mexican restaurant. Service is generally fast and friendly, but there are a couple booths way in the back that seem to be forgotten about occasionally.

The staff mostly ignored us while we were there. They didnt deliver all of the food but still wanted to charge us for it. After a short argument they agreed to remove it off the bill. But they refused to give me an itemized receipt so I still dont know what I actually paid for. Unless this place makes drastic changes dont go there, we wont!

Expecting more.. Service was fair..but fajitas were really overcooked.. Dry... And was charged 2$ more for 3-4 overcooked shrimp. When paid cash , was asked to walk it back down to the 1st floor register..kinda weird, asked why she didnt take cash, she said because we asked for a different table.??

Ive been going to La Margarita restaurant for many years. They have excellent food and great prices. Plus the restaurant is large and decorated pretty nice. They also have a large backroom for groups. For very good Mexican food in Salem, I highly recommend them.

Best Mexican Food by far!!! Could not find great Mexican food in Oregon and tried La Margarita Saturday, AMAZING! Rice was fluffy with rich flavors, beans have the refried taste like your abuelita made. Think we will go back tonight and try another dish.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Salem. The food is delicious, and the staff are kind and let you actually enjoy your meal. They dont hover over you, but they dont ditch you either. Id definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody.

Food and service terrible!! I ordered just a chimichanga and it definitely was not good. No one else liked their food either. Service was terrible. She definitely didnt care if we received what we needed. We had to get up and ask for everything.

Great food and not too greasy! We love to go here when we want good Mexican food, good margaritas, and leave feeling like we had a healthy meal. Be sure to check out the specials, as the ones I have tried have all been fantastic.

Service was fast, food was delicious and margaritas are stiff. Couldnt ask for more. Wide selection of tequila. The do sampling and cooking classes. We had the enchilada suizia and pork carnitas with plantain and mango salsa.

This mexican joint was delicious. I love fajitas and while the individual portion is a little spendy, for an extra couple bucks you can get a huge plate for two making it a no brainer. And its delicious!
