This is my wifes favorite Chinese food restaurant and we make a special trip up the 5 just to go here. Their food is delicious and very economical. I like the fact that they have a choose your own combo list so you can size your meal and have the items you like best together in a combo built just for you. I think the bathroom could use more attention though. And the service needs improvement. We have not been checked on once since we have been served our meals. Sometimes I wonder what waitstaff workers think.... Is this how they would like to be served?....... Still sitting here waiting for our check and a box? And maybe a refill on my water... Im dying of thirst.... How much more can I ramble on in this review before someone comes to check on us?.... Its a funny scene in a movie... Nothing but a dusty old skeleton by the time they show up... Lol

MISTAKE ON 3 STARS !!! 00000 STARS. Have eaten here in the past. Was fair. Not great. Our experience last night sealed our LAST visit. The short haired girl that seated us was rude. Was like our grievous error was just walking in the door. I had question and got here attention and from middle of room, she looked at me like "what". I said again I have a question. Never came near table forcing me to raise voice to speak to her. When food arrived it was all but tossed on the table placing our food in front of wrong person. Nice job. Only 2 of us so couldnt have been too hard to remember who ordered what. Not once did she check back with us all the while checking on everyone else to the point of over the top making sure we saw and heard her. Yep, Americanized. CRAP. With sub par service. Cheap yes. Worth it? No.

This place is amazing. Its not 5-Star Restaurant quality or anything, but it is definitely above average. When you factor in the price, it becomes the best place in South Salem, if not all of Salem. The place is always spotless, and no matter how busy they are, they always get right to you, and the food is always ready within 10 minutes, at least for takeout. The quality of the food, the size of the portions(they practically throw food at you; HUGE portions), the low price (4 Item Combo for $10, and it easily feeds two WITH leftovers), and the fast, friendly service all combine into an outstanding restaurant all-around. If this place delivered, Id never eat anywhere else, lol.

Love this place! Very friendly staff, even though their English isnt the best theyre all smiles and help :) Prices are great- good food for a good price. Its not cuisine but much better than other "takeout" places weve been to. Nothing fancy but a great place for a casual/family dinner. Everything seems to have been made fresh (we had eggflower soup, crabpuffs, chicken with veggies and tofu, and mandarin chicken and recommend it ALL) Their breaded chicken is lightly breaded (weve all had that chicken that is more breading than meat :P) and VERY good. They didnt over-sauce anything and service was prompt. Definitely going again, I wish it was closer to home!

Went with my daughter and granddaughter. Wasnr sure when I drove up. It looked like it might be a fast food type place. But it wasnt. The food was like an actual resturant style. Service was quick, friendly, and place was very clean. Was greated when I came in, asked if it was take out or dine in. Foid came quickly. You could see the large chunks of chicken in the Chow Mein. The sweet and Sour Chicken was all white meat, with nice big chunks of chicken, rice was good. Everthing tasted fresh.Food nice and hot and pleanty of it! Will be going back. And have already told others about it! I gave them 5 stars because the deserved them!!

We stumbled on Gold Dragon about three years ago and it has become a regular stop. As others have noted, their hot & sour soup is really great. We also think they make the best crab puffs in town. Another feature is the very inexpensive lunch special choices, for example, I once ordered General Tsos Chicken for $3.95. One of our favorite entrees here is the Mushroom Chicken. The combination meals are much better than most Chinese places in town. We always find the service to be fast and friendly - typical wait time on a to-go order is 10 minutes.

Placed a take out order over the phone. Mentioned I had a coupon for a free dish. (got it from their website) We printed it out, but my son who picked up the takeout forgot to grab the coupon. My son said he forgot the coupon and they said sorry, no coupon no discount! I find this petty. So, not only did we not get a discount, we had to pay for something we normally wouldnt have ordered. We have ordered take out occasionally from them, but with this customer service they just LOST us as a customer! I will say their food is good.

After this meal, I have the strongest of desires to max out all my credit cards on camping gear and disapear into the wild just to get away from this food. Service was friendly and kind, but the food was simply bad. Fried rice (both vegetable and BBQ pork) was lack luster, curry chicken was somehow bland (how does one make curry bland?!), and a vegetarian dish was contaminated with shellfish. Shame. The only redeeming quality was the service, which is why this is a three star and not a one star review.

I remember liking this place when we first moved here, but we ordered takeout the other night and all of it was awful except for the crab puffs. The hot sour soup tasted like sour sweat, no real flavor, no meat in it at all, which Ive gotten used to since we moved to Oregon but this tasted awful. The sweet and sour pork was almost as gross, the noodles had no flavor at all, and the beef broccoli tasted like flour. Not at all impressed.

I would give a 0 if I could I used to come here all the time and they where fast clean and nice now there customer service is crap one employee sneezes on her hand and tried to serve us food we asked her to wash her hand and she just got them wet and dryed them with our soap and didnt even lessen to my order and took a hour to get my food extremely disapointed used to love this shop now Im never coming back

This place is our go-to Chinese restaurant. Their food is good, their portions are plentiful, and they have some amazing deals so your family of 4 can all eat for under $25. Most of the time you end up getting at least two full meals for the price of one. Coupons can be printed from their website.

Extremely bland, pre packaged, americanized crap. If thats your thing, then by all means, give a good review. Nothing was fresh, and everything was oversalted, or covered in a thick bright orange goo that they try and call sweet and sour. Rude waitstaff too. No thanks, Ill stick with Kwans.

We had a party of eight and got the dinner special for $9.95. We each got to pick an entrée. The meal also included wantons, rice, egg rolls and hot tea. The service was fast, food was great and plentiful. The best Chinese I have had in a while. Real good bang for your buck.
