I care too much about Wiz Bang Bar, Salt&Straw ice cream, and basic human decency to sit back silently and allow Joe St. Peter to besmirch the name of an outstanding company, all in order to pass himself off as something greater than a buffoon of the highest order. What kind of sick, depraved man would sink so low as to submarine a company all to try and incorrectly portray himself as a man of competence who knows how to eat an ice cream cone? Look, I know Joe. For the most part, I like Joe. Im telling you from the horses mouth that theres a zero percent chance that cone was served to him without a bottom. He absolutely bit the cone, like an impish barbarian without so much as a basic grasp of the consequences, and then sat there in a hell of his own creation as ice cream poured out the bottom of the cone that he bit. At the moment, I hoped Joe would perhaps realized that actions do indeed have consequences, but alas weve found ourselves in a position where hes trying to pass the blame onto anyone and anyone other than the man responsible. We, as a people, deserve better than to believe these lies that are being fed to us, lies that messily drip out of the bottom of a cone (in this metaphor the cone is also made of lies), bitten off by the teeth of a lying snake of a man. Do not be deceived, Portland. The cones at the Salt&Straw outpost located at Wiz Bang are always structurally intact. I wish I could say the same about the integrity of one Joe St. Peter. Ice cream was great. 5-stars. Would go again.

I didnt notice upon ordering but my cone was broken on the bottom. Because the cone was stuffed the drips saturated my napkin even at my break-neck lick rate. Ice cream dripped on my hands and on the table. My friends thought I first ate the bottom of the cone...but Im no idiot. I couldnt convince them that I would never chomp on the cone first! My friends jeered. Wiz Bang made a mockery of this avid ice cream eater. Ice cream was great. 5-stars. Would go again.

Still think about the goat milk soft serve with black raspberry hard shell topping that I had on my first visit months ago! I live out of town so stopped by again today. Unfortunately, it was a seasonal flavor! Lucy offered samples and recommendatons and I got a delicious ginger beer flavored variety that had a fun kick. Then, Lucy told me that my cone was "on her!" What a fun, unexpected gesture! Definitely worth going out of my way. Thanks again!

Its embarrassing that a grown man would take to google to make up a story about a stand up ice cream company that consistently produces perfectly crafted waffle cones. Using big words like "saturated" to describe your napkin isnt impressing anyone and its certainly not making your story more believable, Joe St. Peter. Be a man and admit you bit the gosh darn bottom of the cone. I had the sea salt and caramel and it was divine.

The Wiz Bang bar is in the pine street market, which can be busy on the weekends, and has lots of places to eat and drink. We just went to the Wiz Bang for ice cream. They didnt have many flavors (3 or 4), which is why I didnt give 5 stars. They had some interesting flavors and options to dip their soft serve cones. I liked my cone, but could see the potential to get a weird combo of ice cream, dip flavor and toppings.

Nothing stood out as exceptional about Salt n Straws new soft serve concept, Wiz bang bar. It was expensive ($3.95 for a sugar cone, $4.95 if you want a waffle), and the flavors lacked creativity and depth, which is what one expects when choosing the Salt n Straw brand. If you are in the mood for Ice cream, time and effort is better spent on the original Salt and Straw experience over its mediocre cousin, Wiz Bang Bar.

My wife and I got sundays as you can see. I had the strawberry shortcake that includes a Pine State Biscuits. Maybe the best I have ever had. Perfect amount of sweet, savory and strawberry. Just excellent. My wife lived here too. The Blondie brownie with chocolate ice cream carmerl and just. Had a bite and was phenomenal. Went back and had the cookies and cream concrete- Really good.

The flavors seemed oversaturated with the flavor of dairy. Not quite sure why? The best flavor was the dairy-free strawberry coconut. Toppings were OK but the portions were too large. I got cookie dough and I got at least 6 cookies worth. Id go again if they have some more interesting flavors or for the strawberry coconut one.

My husband took a walk through Portland from their sister location of Salt & Straw to here for their choco-tacos. I love the idea of this location with all of the different little food shops set up to try a variety of selections of food and dessert. Lovely afternoon atmosphere and helpful staff! Thank you Wiz Bag Bar!

Fun place to stop in to try some Salt and Straw ice cream inside the public market. My wife tried a couple of.the fruity flavors that were creamy and delicious. I had a coffe ice cream dipped in chocolate. It had great texture as well, but was a little too salty for my taste. It.tastes more salty than sweet.

Disappointing, especially for a Salt & Straw. Ive tried a couple different sundaes of their own design, which sound AMAZING, but I didnt like either. So I tried plain vanilla custard (which I am a huge fan of vanilla soft serve) and that was also not very good. Honestly, Id rather go to Dairy Queen.

I have been to the wizbangbar several times in the past few months, and its always a great experience. They have amazing concrete, and dont be afraid to grab some ice cream at 10 p.m. at night, its an inside location and you will still have a great experience even had a late time.

Tasty ice cream, but not as many options as I had been led to expect. It was also super loud and crowded and the whole shared space with the ramen restaurant thing added to the chaos. I enjoyed my ice cream, but didnt enjoy the experience enough to be in a hurry to go back.

A little confusing, but delicious nonetheless! Not the greatest soft serve out there, but they do a great job especially with the soft shell toppings. I hear their choco taco is fantastic though, so thats what Ill be ordering the next time around.

I love softserve and was excited to try Salt & Straws latest venture. Had a salty and sweet cone with chocolate shell. Flavors were good but texture was too soft, melty and a little grainy. Im hopeful the kinks will get worked out as time goes on.

I got the roasted strawberry coconut.. Oh man. Soooo yummy! Sweet, tart, tangy & refreshing. I also tried the woodblock chocolate and it was SO chocolatey. Sure to satisfy your deepest chocolate desires. Ill definitely be back.

Choco tacos were good (thought I thought they would be made to order for some reason). Also tried an alcoholic shake that was tasty but a little odd. All in all the best part was the super friendly and accommodating staff.

Good ice cream but did not think the concept was appealing to me. Some people seemed confused about how it went. The combinations become more like shakes than ice cream but overall innovative and definitely worth trying
