I met a friend for lunch at the Breakaway Café last Tuesday. The food and service was spectacular. I had their tuna melt, and I never ever eat tuna. I loved it!! They served it with perfectly cooked french-fries, and a dipping sauce that was also incredible. The customer service made me feel welcomed and appreciated, and the atmosphere was so comfortable I didnt want to leave. And, looking around I noticed that I was not alone. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be experiencing the same level of pleasure as myself. I look forward to returning to the Breakaway Café soon, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a wonderful, reasonably priced, dining experience. Gary Delfino

Service was questionable. Went there for lunch, ordered the grassfed burgers, we got our tea, and watced a couple, and a family of four, get seated. All of thier orders were delivered before ours - I thought that was weird, yet no one came over to explain why our order was taking so long. The grassfed burger was pretty good, cooked correctly, but was a small patty, on a huge bun. My wife thought it was a mistake. We have been eating there, off, and on, for years - always a pleasant time. This is my first time back, after a few months, and wasnt really happy, with the service, or the incrdible shrinking grassfed burger.

"Best western burger ever" says my other half. I love the steak or fish special but anytime hes offered me a bite of that burger I have to agree. Dont miss dessert either--brownie sundae is a simple thing of perfection with candied orange peel as a garnish. This is a family-owned/run joint where the chef is just spot on with seasonal specials and consistent favorites. Its unassuming from outside but by far the best dinner in Sonoma if not the valley, especially when you consider the completely reasonable prices.

Before I ordered I asked my waiter if the egg meal came with egg whites. He said that it did , but they had to be scrambled, which was fine. To my surprise there was an additional fee of three dollars on my bill. I called the waiter over and asked why he told me that the meal came with egg whites as an option. He told me that the computer charges the fee not him. Then after asking him to remove the charge he got even more rude. I will not eat there again.

A couple of girlfriends took me there for a Sunday brunch. It was a little crowded but we got a nice booth and were waited on promptly. The restaurant was filled with what i surmise were churchgoers and families. The food arrived and was very good and the portions were as well. The service was definitely what one would expect in Sonoma, very good. Put this one in the good column and expect it to generally be so regularly. SH

Great service and Quality food. I will definitely be back. I had the Bacon Avacado and Tomato Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly. The grilled fresh tomatoes were on point. Not over seasoned. The potatoes could have been cooked a little longer but still tasted good. I like the ambiance and decor. Props the chefs. I sat at the bar and watched those guys pump food out like a well oiled machine.

How great you guys are near my home in Sonoma! It is our Go To Place for always great service and food. Tonight was an example. Your Host, Jacob, was excellent. He explained all the specials with a passion for the ingredients. Our server, Javier, provided excellent service and offered a great tip for my wine. We totally enjoyed our dining experience. For such mediocre food and lacking service, we were appalled that they charged us double for our meal. We paid $60 in cash and wanted the $19 balance on a card. They took out cash and the receipt we had said the balance. Thats what we signed for. We woke up today with an $89 charge. Ugh.

Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot. Excellent service, fast and fresh. Ordered the Machacha Con Huevos and it was outstanding. Make sure to ask for the Breakaway hot sauce. Made fresh in house and its delicious. Will definitely visit again!

First and last time here. My fries came burnt to a crisp, I asked for a side of mayonnaise three times, our server disappeared, and my husband ordered a side salad and got a full size salad. Not worth the cost.
